True, this phone is still and will still be good for 4 years still.
It's been 3 months I've been using it, works perfectly only the issues I came across is heating, battery drain and a little bit of throttling. Rather go for s23 only if you are a heavy user.
Same, it's been 3 months and I'm facing the same issues except for the heating. I'm a average phone user. I'm not addicted to my phone so the battery is enough for me but if you sit on your phone all day, you may want to consider the s23.
Using it for like a month now. Absolutely love it!
Did you have the Snapdragon or Exynos version?
@@oshadeni6250 it comes with snapdragon only in India.
For those have battery issue, I suggest you to turn on the feature called "protect battery", it'll keep your battery life very long and healthy by stop the charge at 85%.
And turn on power saving, which you can customize, go inside that option, and limit the cpu performance to 70% and use dark mode
@@probablynotzeus936 perfecto!
@@probablynotzeus936It will surely improve the battery
unfortunately that's only a myth and you're not doing it right you should be keeping your battery life between 20%-70% anything more or less will damage it not samsungs optimised battery cap
@@Czyb20 aha!!
Been using it for 1.5 years, I don't like it much anymore due to heating, throttling and battery life. Looking to upgrade it with s24 lineup or the z fold
S22 owner here. Great? Battery life is horrid and no update, fix, trick or whatever can fix it unfortunately.
Same
How much sot u get?
I get around 6 hours and that's enough. Uts no one's fault you sit on your fucking phone all day
Not for me
@@merlinTM003 exactly
Nice content, please keep up the good work thank u
Thanks!
Using it since august 2022, im really happy with the size of the phone, the design, the screen, the cameras, maybe only the battery could be bettet but for me its doing the job... i recharge once maybe two times in one day for me its not a problem honestly.. i will use it for another year for sute without thinking about s24, maybe i will go with S25 in 2025 :-)
I just got March 2024 security update and the heating and battery issues are gone
I know somebody that has this and they send me pictures and videos and they are awesome
How is the battery on this ? i recently bought a iphone 13 because they are kind of similar for the price and the battery on the 13 for a mint condition off swappa wasn't that great found my self getting about 6 hours of battery life with a 100% battery which is odd because i was told the iphone 13 battery was great for the price of the phone
People are complaining about heating and battery issues, but I have not faced such issues. And I'm just a normal user, no game.
It does get warm on heavy use, but it doesn't slow down, and with a case, it's fine
It gets warm when you live on a tropical country like I do. 100% traveling wifi off, airplane mode on, not using the phone and just checking the time, aod off and 30 minutes after it went to 97% with a 3% decrease without even using the phone for 5 minutes
Damn that means I'll no longer consider the S22 😢
@@peterchijiokeAll phones get hot
I got the S22 Plus 6 months ago . Absolutely Worth it
My S22 drains the battery without me even using it.
I went to the gym and not touched the phone for 2h and it drained 10%. Every night I charge it before sleep and in the morning I always have 97% with energy saving on (without it can go as low as 92%).
Not a bad phone, but battery really sucks.
That's not normal. After 2 hours standby, I have about 1% drainz 2 max. It might be the apps you have installed, or maybe the battery is wrecked. Luckily my phone was pretty new, so it could just be the battery
Go into Settings and Permissions and turn off everything that does not need to be on.
I don't let my phone(s) auto update anything. I don't need to know whenever I get an email. I know how to open the apps. The only time my phone makes a sound is when a call or text comes in and when I'm playing a game or music.
I like mine. Only two cons for me: it feels very fragile. Really suggest you get a good protective case for it. I have an Otterbox and now no longer have to baby it. But naked, it just feels way too brittle.
I also really wish could load stock Android on it. Their OneUI is ok, no major complaints, but I'm a minimalist and having any sort of overhead layer that might interfere with performance or add another layer or something that can go buggy isn't ideal
One UI is not laggy or buggy anymore, that problem used to occur with the older touchwiz UI in samsung phones. One UI is very stable and IMO tons better than stock android. I temporarily switched to Google Pixel 7 from a samsung phone, didn't like it and now have a S22.
Had the s22 since it released, I absolutely love it
Been hearing about the battery issues? What's your experience?
@@bikashniroula8376I also need this reply
Watching this on my s22 via dex 😊
Great review, Im using S22 plus for 3 months ,only thing i dislike is battery life and heating
@@loki2590 it depends which app you use actually. i m also using s22 for 3 months. i dont recommend using it for a long time while it is charging. i don't play any games but if you do, it will get hot probably in 30 minutes
Just bought one for £269 not a bad price still 2 yrs on
S22 was the first android phone I got after being an iPhone user. S22 has a shit battery, android UI is glitchy, and gets pretty hot. Only good thing is the camera. Gonna switch back to iPhone probably.
Base Galaxy S series and Pixel A series are one of the last compact phones left sadly. I don't need a tablet in my pocket all the time 🤣🤣
Zenfone 9/10 is also dope
True! I always liked small phones, iPhone 13 Mini is still one of my favorites. Might get a Zenfone 10 for a review soon
S22 💜
Cant connect to provider from last update
Hi slightly off-topic but..THERE IS A GLITCH ON THIS PHONE..i am trying to REMOVE/DELETE/DISABLE... NOT CHANGE wallpaper..YES i clicked "NONE" on wallpaper option, cleared cache, restarted, the wallpaper refuses to disappear, i have a waterfall moving image as wallpaper. (S20-FE)
Please h-e-l-p.
I have this for about 8 months now, and this is the best decision i made over buying Iphone 13. Its just that the issue is with the battery life. For my use case battery life is shit.
I have to keep my phone on battery saver for the whole day, and when it comes to a day when i have a heavy use, like photography just continous use then this phone comes down to be the worst. I have to carry a backup phone with which i generally charge it.
@@loki2590 i would say if i start using it from 8 i will get it about 5 on no power saving and no heavy use
S21 ultra or s22 plus...?
S22 or xiami 13 T or Samsung A54 ?
This is a great device but i agree with overheating specially i bought this for $1700+ AUD back then.
how about green line issue after update software ?
havent experienced it
Hi... I'm planning to buy s23.. do you ever feel that the camera quality of s22 has been decreased by usage... does camera quality will be decreased or not..
In my experience, most smartphone cameras get better in time as they work out possible bugs and stuff with software updates. So no worries, it definitely won’t get worse 🙂
Wait for s24. I guess isnt worth to upgrade from s22 to s23 if your reason is better camera. S23, Yes SLIGHTLY BETTER. But if youre not tight in budget
Pedja, losa je baterija ne zezaj.
I get a SOT of 5+ Hours. Mixed Usage no Gaming.
Coming into 2024 i own this phone, but thinking of getting the i phone 14 better operating system the downside of Android too much drag,i phone possess a better operating system 2 any Android...sorry...
What do u think, better pick up s22 or s21 ultra?
if u want smaller phone s22 if u want big with better zoom s21 ultra im getting s22 soon hopefully maybe s23 when s24 comes out if s23 price drops but im 90% sure im getting s22 cus i like smaller phones and idc about 100x zoom
@@stankovic4642dont get the s22. I just got it and battery life is horrible. For me it lasts about 4-5 hours on one charge. Get the s22+ or s23 instead.
S21 ultra still rocks! ❤
I wouldn't call youngsters stuck to their phone screens as power users 😊
i mean it is annoying that samsung makes such good phones but latetst ones never have aux ports but aye nothing bluetooth headphones cant fix
Does it have esim?
Yes plus Micro sim
@@dalebrown2128
Actually, I was asking about eSIM
Another great phone plagued by this horrible monstrosity that is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
One of worst battery’s in 2023
Why there are no S22 FE?
There weren't enough chips to produce it.
bad battery bad photos in motion and nightwith shutter lag and more noise. And samsung not improve photos in updates - samsung delete quality in s22 and s23 series after update
No it’s not perfect, it’s a crap experience especially if your battery is already in use for long, the S23 though is great
🍀🍀🍀
The only people concerned about the battery are the ones that play video games and watch movies in high brightness. Other than that I don't personally face any issues with the battery, it lasting me a whole day is normal. So nah there's no problem the battery, people don't understand the concept of small phones. Other than that any other crying, is bullshit.
The phone has a crappy battery.
If you are thinking of buying the S22 please be aware the camera is horrible and completely inferior to the S9
