The catch is you need at least 10 years of history, no new cards in the last 5 years, FICO under 760 and carry a balance on at least one C1 card. Welcome to Capital One, how can we confuse you?
Cap1’s nonsense underwriting for the “premium” cards suggest their target market is people with above average income who spend slightly beyond their means.and are terrible with money- lots of spending, lots of interest.
I have two Quicksilver Cards (one MasterCard in& one Visa) from 2018 & 2019, applied and got a Venture One Card December 2023. Applied & got approved for the Venture X in May 2024.
Hmm so the Venture X would be like the platinum and the velocity would be their black card. I would prefer another multiplier on the venture X. I'm in year 2 of it. Its been a great work horse, but another multiplier would be nice
All I know is I didn’t get approved for venture x and my credit is awesome. Decided to downgrade my venture cuz I didn’t use it and annual fee wasn’t worth it. They kept calling it an upgrade .
Yep, this is why. As the video says, it's not just a partnership, they've literally been acquired by Capital One. I don't think it's enough for cap one. I live in NYC and there are a lot of restaurants here that have a table or 2 specifically reserved for American Express specifically. Cap one should've went into offering more financial services such as accounting services since there is a vacuum there. Chase has been excellent for me for specialized loans while Amex has been the best travel for me, up until they've changed some rental insurance policies.
Wanted to open up a Savor One account last month but have been patiently waiting because of this news. What are the chances they increase the SUB for the Savor One or have a better version of it soon? I'm getting impatient. 😅
I've been hearing that the C1 lounges have long wait times, so this new card could be a way to get quick access into the C1 lounges w/ reserve seating. Also, I could see them going after the Platinum/Gold market share by offering one card that can do what both cards do with simpler fee offsets. Amex customers are frustrated with the "coupon" book and could be ripe for the picking. I have been curious to see if C1 will try to compete more with Chase or Amex and it's looking more like Amex. Very interesting.
I have been to most cap 1 lounges, although there are a lot of people. I've never felt cramped or not taken care of. The food drinks and service is top notch. Especially when having delays.
Hey Ben, I want to combine combine chase UR points between household members but need some help. I have a CSP and my household member has a FU and a CIU. I know I can call Chase and combine the FU points to my CSP as we share the same address. However most of the points are on the CIU because of the higher earning multiplier and I am not listed on the business. Would my household member be able to move their CIU points to their FU, and then I could combine them from the FU onto my CSP. Or how would I go about getting those points onto my card? Thanks!
Should be able to. Just get the person who has the CIU account to call up and get you added, once added you can do it online after that. If you can be added by calling the CIU number, call the number on the FU.
@@ab3040As much as I'd want cards like Citi, the main attraction for capital one is their no-fee checking and high yield savings accounts. It makes it more manageable for those with lower income. Out of all their offerings, savor one is the best. The smartest thing for them to do is just partner up with more companies. Savor one has been godsent for me because of the Uber perks on it. 10% back on a service I already use is nice value.
@@styleztheproducer6744 I'm aware, he's implying that their strategy is basically get profit out of farming those that aren't able to pay cap one back. Sounds like it's more headache than it's worth. Just wondering what what gave him that perspective.

I love the Venture X but C1 has to be the most confusing CC company with regard to its criteria.
Velocity Black is a concierge service that is teamed with Capital One
Indeed

What kind of people my good sir! Jk we know that was an oversight during editing! We still luv ya
Hmmm, maybe the "Arrive" card will be something similar to the Amex Green card? Since, C1 is going the route of the "velocity" black card.
they should rename "Velocity" to "Direction".... new card = Capital One Direction 😂

Ok. But 90% of Pp lounges are meh to fiercely mediocre. 💁♂️. And STILL crowded.

I was his stunt double in Spiderman
I’d guess they add a balance transfer card and a card similar to the Amex green card with gas and transit. Have to wait and see!
