Couldn’t help but laugh when crow highlighted the name Stiffy on lock and chase.

Can't wait to see your thoughts on the Gaelco collection

I also own the Data East "My Arcade" Pocket console: it's deeply flawed, but you'd still get a kick out of it, Crow. And I assume you could find one for the price of a vegan pizza. Data East has created a lot more retro collectible stuff than larger companies like Sega and E.A. in the last few years.

Reviewed with the Hori Real Arcade Pro: the joystick was more expensive than the console and the cartridge combined. ;-)

I never got the console collection of Data East, but I did get this collection, because I knew the arcade releases from Data East are that much better. Also, questionable controls aside, I still think the emulation in this is better than anything I've experienced from the ports from Flying Tiger games.

Another great review! 👍. I love, and appreciate all the effort that goes behind the making of these vids for the Evercade! So much depth and analysis. Not so much a fan of replaying Arcade games. Who’s gameplay was designed for the player to solely pump money into them. 🙂🤔

I miss your 1-5 scoring system. I hope you keep it for the console carts.
Thanks for your hard work on these reviews.

I actually changed things up starting with the Intellivision Collection 1 video. I kind of explain why I changed it in that video, but basically I never really intended 1-5 to be a rating or a scoring system. 1 & 2 where categories for games I didn't like, 3 was for games I was indifferent on, and 4 & 5 where games I did like. All I've done is remove the number. I thought it really didn't matter since I started ranking the game from my least favorite to most favorite at the end of the video anyway.
Also, I've been thinking about making some major changes starting with the Renovation Collection since these videos seem to wind up much longer than I would like.

@@CrowCapture I'm sure it's labor intensive for you, but I appreciate your detailed treatment. Helps me decide what to try.

    Great job, as asual!
This Collection got "Tumblepop" bundled in, which still in my personal Top 5 of Arcade machines: so, imagine my joy when I got this collection finally in the mailbox! I agree with all reviews, except for "BreakThru" who's still too hard for me to be enjoyable! Thanks for describing the issue on "Chain Reaction": I initially thought it could that my cartridge could be faulty (didn't care that much, I don't like the arcade version of that game :D)...
Last thing: for what I've had to know, the "Darwin" series is the spiritual successor of "B-Wings", a primordial shoot'em up created by Data East and relased for the arcades and the Nintendo Famicom. This last version is way better, and it's one of my favourite Famicom games, while the arcade version, who's a completely different game, is just...stupid, at least for me.
I'm curious for your next video about "Gaelco Arcade 1": it's my favourite Evercade Collection ever released until now!
It's...trippy! :D And I remember very well these games, because Gaelco machines were really populare here in the italian arcades! ;-)
    Cheers!

Many titles on this cart that are "so close and yet so far". With just a little more effort from data East... :-/
