Mr Michaud. When I started playing guitar four year ago, I really struggled to break through the whole barre chord hurdle and almost quit after 3 months. Your video about how to condition your fretting hand to strengthen your index finger was the crucial in enabling me to start playing barred chords. Today it's obviously no problem. I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. I will always be a fan of yours. Kind regards, Alex

Thanks, this is great. I've been using MuseScore and writing my own Keyboard Vamps (usually hammond organ for through-bar sustain)/Bass/& drums for Jazz/Blues/Bebop/Swing guitar improvisation practice, with the added benefit of improving my composition and rhythm-drums and bass clef writing altogether. This has pointed me to some useful options - thank you.
In time I'll have more gear to use my Sonar Software and create my own, especially for my own compositions for backing during solo performances. You've really given me some indispensable ideas😉

Using a Hy Vibe guitar I am having a hard time finding acoustic guitar only backing track. I don't want the whole band, just an acoustic guitar to play along with standards of rock, folk, etc. Any thoughts?

I just bought a lekato looper pedal/tuner and had to buy their power supply. Used it a few times and create my own chord progression and can add several layers. Haven't done it but research is on going, you can upload your files to computer with provided cable, or download backing tracks to the pedal as 1, 2, 3, up to 9 loops and then play those as well. Pedal was 20% off and bought cable all in was around $60 or so

You were first on the list when I searched this very topic. 🙏🏻 I’m a complete novice in the world of backing tracks - LOVE MUSIC of course, learning slowly (but hopefully surely 😅) the acoustic guitar but because I don’t play fluently.. yet, really need something to work with. I write & write but need music to put it too. This may sound ridiculous 🤔🤣- when we’re talking about free tracks (if I find one that I get a feel for) these can be used by anyone and shared on a public platform? Obviously credit to the original artist who composed it or is there copyright rules imposed?! Help 🙏🏻🤣

Hey Tomas, i just want to say thank you for this wonderful video. I’ve learned a lot from it. I have one question however. If i do end up creating a band backing track, (for example: one of the eagle’s song but without the guitar part) and i post it on youtube, will i get copyrighted if i do that? Once again, thank you for this video 😊

If you actually watched the video you would see that I referenced nothing of stealing other people's material. There is a vast amount of FREE backing tracks available from many different sources. I also encouraged people to make their own backing tracks from songs that they already own, which means that they paid for these songs, and using as an example, Audacity, to remove the vocals so you can practice along and learn the song that you paid for, downloaded and now want to learn. I see nothing wrong with that, especially since no one is reproducing this to make a profit and this is purely for educational purposes.
