  • 8 Best Exercises For Stronger Legs
    Are you looking for some variety with your leg training? Here are the 8 best exercises for stronger legs at any age.
    If you're looking to take your leg training to the next level then you’ll love these 8 lower body exercises I’ll share in this video!
    These moves take those fundamental movements and add a little twist to the basics to help you progress through not just adding loads but also different types of tension, different loading placements, different bases of support and even different ranges of motion.
    There are so many ways to vary moves to match our specific needs and goals. With these tweaks you can even impact how much you are using specific muscles involved.
    And it’s key we find different ways to progress, especially the longer we’ve been training!
    While we are never above the basics, and should always return to them, we can make little tweaks to movements to keep our training fresh and interesting while creating progression in new and different ways.
    Especially the longer we’ve been training, the more we have to explore different options to create that progression and drive muscle growth.
    These movement variations can also be fun as we get older to not just beat our bodies up by trying to force heavier loads or even to help us when we’ve hit a stickpoint with the weights we can move during a specific movement.
    That’s why I wanted to share 8 amazing lower body exercises that create progression in different ways!

      @@redefiningstrengthOC The devil is in the details... And this is a hell of an exercise, I always wondered why doing leg extensions sitting and not with straight back as here, it has more carryover to athletic moves, over head squats etc, and also takes away my pain in the quad tendons. 💖

    I really like the different exercises that were demonstrated. And I've always been impressed by the regressions for each exercise that you show. It helps people to be able to start from where they are at and progress from there. Great video. And it looks like one of your adorable doggies was playing hide and seek in a box.

    I just learned about uterine prolapse from my older friend. It looks like it's a common condition after menopause. One of the things to prevent it is not to lift heavy. I am very worried about working out with dumbbells now. Could you recommend safe exercises for preventing organ lowering?

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you have uterine prolapse you need to do physio and address it. You need to learn to breath correctly and what you lift and how you lift may change, especially as you rebuild. But I don't agree with just saying don't lift heavy out of fear of it because A. Lifting heavy means so many different things. And B. It is about breathing and creating the correct pressure and tension. So if you aren't sure if you are bracing and breathing correctly while lifting, definitely see someone. But to stop lifting heavy will put you at risk for injury in every day life. What if you lift something heavy and don't know how to breathe when moving stuff around your home!? You could still end up with injury. Honestly I've found lifting heavy while truly knowing how to activate muscles correctly is key. Use those gym sessions as a time to really train amazing movement patterns and core control!

    • @lanael7278
      @lanael7278 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@redefiningstrengthOC Thanks so much for reassurance! I don't have any prolapse and was worried I may develop it with heavy weights. Would you talk about the breathing during lifting? What about stomach vacuums, where you hold the breath. Is it healthy for the organs?
