    Hi ash,
    When you get a chance, can you possibly show a video of how the clean up goes. I’m looking into getting a mossmatic something similar but I know there will be a big clean up operation.
    Is a case of having to wash the whole building down then scoop all the debris off the floor?
    At least when scraping it’s usually quite dry to pick up!
    Cheers

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, exactly, the clean up is a large part of the job. We use sheeting to catch the worst of the debris but also the gutters need cleaning out and everything needs rinsing down.😃👍🏼

    • @stumay

      This is something on conscious about, and really thinking of not using chemicals. It’s a personal decision and each to their own but spraying chemicals doesn’t sit well with me.

    Hi ash, what’s the connections your using from box to pole?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The box has series 26 connectors so I use a short length of garden hose from the box with a garden hose connector on the other end, the I have a neat little adapter for that which will then allow me to connect my usual pole hose to it.👍🏼

    Thanks for the video....thinking of buying an all in one box from WCW but can I ask please......1) with the battery not being charged while you're working, roughly how long would it last for? I'm guessing you didn't need to charge it during this job, for example? 2) you briefly showed a charging point on the box....does that allow the battery to plug straight into a mains supply to charge it? Lastly, I see you can get a decent flow through a water fed pole, but if it was attached to a spray gun instead, would it give a decent spray/ jet, for example anywhere near to a standard flow from a tap? Hope you don't mind the questions but wanted to check before I buy! Much appreciated

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It comes with a charger, and it should last all day. The pressure is similar to a water fed pole window cleaning setup. You can also buy a spray nozzle from the same place that would suit it.👍🏼

    Umm the GK Pro mix you used sounds light if i heard you right. 100ml in 25l or 20l container is imo light. I use 1:25 ratio normally and that gives just under a 2 percent DDAC solution. That would be about 1 liter of concentrate DDAC@50% into 25l container. Could just be a mispeak on the video. Kudos on the effort and doing the video. Quality content!

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. Yes it was a weak mix, got my calculations a bit wrong there!🤦🏻‍♂️ But still, can’t believe how well it foamed up. There is a theory that you don’t need such a strong mix of the surface you are treating isn’t so dirty. But yes, 1:25 is the usual suggested strength for roofs, to make things simpler.😃👍🏼

      I tend to use any hose I can get my hands on. A lot of those hoses are quite rigid at first but they wear in over time. I actually quite like the Gardiner pole hose. But I bought 50m of cheap clear pole hose one time and I love it. Just goes to show that it’s not always the expensive accessories that are the best.😆👍🏼

    Is this now your constant go too for chemical application or are you using something else these days?
    I’m weighing up either this, the dosatron or the bio chemical box from gvs.
    Even though you have to mix yourself I like that you can run hypo through so feels more versatile than the other 2 options

    Hi Ashley good job but personally I think it's too messy it's all gone down the walls and windows and your going to have to clean up all that saturated moss rather than scrape it and clean it up dry and easy.
    GKpro is 1 litre to 25 litres of water similar to Algo clear which is 1 litre to 20 litres of water but the DDAC on also clear is 40% where as GKpro is 50% plus its slightly thicker so it goes on the surfaces better and clings on much better.
    It's also Acid free Bleach free and non Cuastic.👍

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, sounds like you have got all the info. This method gets great results, but yes, a lot of the work is in the clean up. The price allows for this and the job is far less tedious than scraping. Also, the strength of biocide mix required is also dependent on the amount of organic matter on the surface as well as atmospheric temperature. They often give a standard dilution rate on the packet to make it easier for us, but since I got it so clean, less biocide would actually be required. Maybe I could have done with a slightly stronger mix, but actually I was very impressed with how well it foamed up and covered the surface.👌🏼😃

    • @completeexteriorcleaningse750
      @completeexteriorcleaningse750 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aemackintosh Good Good it dont matter how clean the roof is the mix ratio is same always we only scrape or jet wash the moss to give the fluid more of a helping hand and it's easier to apply to the roof or What ever surface your applying to.
      If you don't have many weeds in your garden you don't dilute the mixture so weaken it.
      Not being funny just my thoughts on the matter 👍
