Great tips! I feel like so many people forget that cities are built in natural landscapes. While they're highly modified, the nature is still there, from the ground under the concrete, to birds, wind, and the sun's warmth.

Identifying plants in my area really is what connected me more to the rather invisible nature in my city. I live in an industrial city out of necessity, but I come from a small town that is very close to nature. It is difficult for me to surrounded by concrete all day, but I use an app on my phone that identifies plants to notice how diverse the city flora actually is. It looks like regular boring grass at a glance, but there's many species I didn't know about just on the corner of my bus stop 😊

I have to practice on a budget. I get rather frustrated at videos and books that say you need obscure/hard to find herbs and other ingredients for spells. I mostly get my herbs from dollar stores, or grocery or department stores. I've found that ethnic grocery stores like Hispanic or Asian groceries are also excellent sources for things we typically don't find in mainstream American grocery stores. I shop for candles and other supplies at second hand stores and dollar stores. Half of my long dresser top is my working altar space, and I love waking up to see my candles and some of my herbs, spices, dried flowers, and the tarot and oracle cards I pulled last night.

I was determined to meditate and it took 10 years of practice. I started when I was 18 years old. It helped through many dental visits and giving birth. I love the simmer pot! A really nice scent is rosemary with floating lemon slices and a dash of vanilla. I’m happy you spoke of nature and that we are part of it not separate. Thanks Ella for a great video.

When I leave for work, I ask house to take care of the cats and the cats to not give to much trouble to house, I think she listens and is happy to be aknolaged, I talk to her as well when cleaning and apologize when O don't do it for a while, she understands tho and it's happy to keep clean by herself during those busy weeks were I'm too tired to do it on my own. At the moment that's the extent of my practice as a beginner

Blessed be! This vitality of yours is a blessing. Gratitude! Reconnect with my home spririt did wonders for me. Growing old today could have been lonely but inviting The Crone in my home and heart has reconciled me with this stage of my life that has so much to offer when I surrendered. Thank you for your youth Ella.

But I got the book app you recommended and I love it so much and can lesson to auto books and can take notes and do other things while lessoning while I lesson to my books. I got all those apps you recommend so thank you I love them I'm very grateful to you for them. I have a learning Disability so the book app has also helped me a lot. Many blessings to you sister blessed Be always!

I appreciate what you said about meditation. As the mother of small baby, meditation is simply not realistic for my every day life. So it was great to hear some alternatives.

I think of anything in the city, even technology, as nature as well, because everything once came from nature, might it be metal or plastic or whatever, so there is a certain spirit within everything, it might just take a little more time to connect to it.
Also, that's a very nice approach to meditation! I connect to myself the most when I just have 'me time', and when I meditate I moreso connect to my surroundings and the universe, especially when I'm holding a crystal. Being in the city, meditating also helps with imagining quieter places I've been before, so my mind wanders around to places I'd maybe rather be right now to relax and catches up on the energy of those places before I get back to my physical place. If you're ever trying to meditate again, I can really recommend that kind of approach :)

Libraries are incredibly underrated imo! Not only for the infinite knowledge we can find there but also the community aspect of gathering in a free space where learning and exchange can happen.

So, about making friends with my home specifically, the part or the house I really feel connected to is... The elevator. And it has been that way even before I knew building a connection with the house was a thing, even since before I moved here, I even gave it a name! I say hello and goodbye to him every time I come in and exit, apologize if I hit the wrong floor button, thank him when I get the feeling I should and sometimes just pet one of the walls while I'm using his help. That is to say, the part you feel connected to doesn't always make sense to you right away and you can't always choose what it is. It may be the attic, or the cellar, or the boiler room, or the elevator! Visit it, greet it, thank it for it's help! These parts often have a lot of practical function, meaning, energy, and while they have people maintaining them... It's just those people's job. So, if it's the part you feel most connected to/in, and even if it's not, take some time to show it your appreciation!

I noticed you mentioned animal crossing and I love it and your content. So I wanted to ask if you've ever played Potion Permit. It's like a mix of animal crossing and harvest moon with witchcraft elements. Highly recommend if you haven't played 😊

I cant help but wonder if returning to witchcraft is actually a regression... I mean even knowing all the rules you could only evolve if you make your own rules and practices...

Idea: kill two birds with one stone by using biodegradable household scraps for writing sigils. Onion skins work great!

OK, I know I’m going to look and sound like an idiot but I have to ask this. You were talking about writing things on a leaf and on your skin putting things down on paper and putting it in your phone cover. I would say the word that you used but I don’t know the word. 🤷‍♂️🤪 So I can’t spell it. Can you write the word for me that you were using and expound on it please? I’m 90% sure I know what you’re saying but I want to be positive. I hope you’re not laughing too hard. 🫣🤭 I do enjoy your videos very much I hope you continue for a very long time. Blessed be.🌛 Wait! Is the word you’re using, Satchels? A Witchy bag? 🤔 If I got that right I deserve an A! 😄
