I got told by a Chevy technician that 04 to 06 diesel can not get relearned or recalibrated when took my truck there they said 07 and up can only get relearned or recalibrated
On idle did the buzzing noise turn on and off almost sounds like a valve closing i just got a duramax and mine is doing the same buzzing but it sounds a little different from that
I figured for me anyways it might be the tunes and when I'm driving it never buzzes only when I turn it off. It sounds like the solenoid is trying to open or close and it gets stuck. I usually leave it on tune 2 cause it never does it on that tune
Prior to repair did you ever feel a vibration in the accelerator pedal when accelerating kind of hard as the trans shifted into 4th, 5th or 6th or when releasing it quickly?
Thats it. It just a default image. Thats the gm part number I say it at the beginning of the video. U can also get it at the dealership but it might be more money
@@nokomiswells5670 same man but I think it has to be my tuning cause it started after I tuned it so if u haven't changed anything at all and it just started then this might help you cause on my level 2 tune it doesn't do it at all
@@rikkidiesel mines got the 5 position tune but I haven’t had the truck very long. Owner before did all the tuning and whatnot but I put my turn on the second tune the other day and it didn’t make the buzzing so I might just have to keep doing that for now
@@frankiesmobbin I replaced the solenoid and the sensor. It didn’t fix it. My code went away after awhile. I think the veins are stuck if I had to guess
You have 5 switch dsp5 right? Do all of your tunes idle at the same vane position? If they don't, try switching to a different tune before turning truck off. I think I had an issue where my truck was trying to command either 0 or 100% vpos (can't remember) when it wasn't running and that would cause it to make a loud buzzing sound. If the buzzing issue arised at the same time you got new tunes, the whole set of tunes could be the culprit as well.

Hmmm I'm not sure on that. I told the tech about it and he knew exactly how to do it and did it. I heard the turbo vanes change as he did it. So idk

In my situation, I did not. It only thing that was happening was when I turned off the truck. It never acted up ever idling or driving
What solenoid did u get? Yeah he link you put is for something else. Thanks

@@rikkidiesel Thanks for clearing it up for me. Keep up the good content for the Duramax it helps a lot of us out there
@@Yoder52 thanks man I appreciate it
Did you ever get the buzzing to stop ?
I did not...sadly but these are the "cures" but it still hasn't effected anything other then the buzzing sound it runs good
@@rikkidiesel that’s unfortunate. My truck runs fine as well but the buzzing is super annoying

Was you getting a p003A code
I wasn't getting any codes. It was just buzzing
It’s been a year since your comment have you figured out the p003a code? Replaced this and didn’t fix the issue for me
@homesteadingsurvival3560 Did you fix your p003A code? I have the same thing, wondering if you did this solenoid change.
