2024 Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV Review...Hyundai goes PREMIUM!
Here's my full review of the rather impressive Hyundai Santa Fe. This one is the Plug-in hybrid version in Caligraphy trim, and it's quite the revolution. Let's check it out, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Caligraphy.

I wouldn't drive a behemoth like that in a million years, but I'm still impressed by Hyundai's attention to practicality - especially with their interiors. They feel to me like one of the most innovative car manufacturers right now
They do
my hyundai dealer has now 3 of this vehicles and it looks so weird between all those common cars in germany. It's literally double the size and i don't know how you could drive such a big truck as a daily car.
Another great video. Petrol ped reviewed that exact car 3 weeks ago, which I guess you were on holiday in Spain.
Yep, that’s the event I was supposed to be on.
Love the styling. These might sell well (or lease) for airport runs. Overly big otherwise. Spend your time in one not being let out at junctions!
😬👍
Nice one Jim
👍👍
👍👍👍. Thank you Jim
Very welcome
Good content again Jim, thanks. What happened to "modern aerodynamics" to help vehicles glide more efficiently through the air ? This suv is a perfect example of brick driving down the road.
No idea but there’s very little wind noise when you’re driving it.
Again Hyundai have put the rear indicators low down on the rear bumpers as the Tucson. I really don't think it's the best place for them from a safety perspective, especially in close following traffic. Kia used to have them down there on the previous Sportage but have changed their position on the new one.
👌
One thing for certain.... Range Rover must be nervous... As I'm sure that both the EV9 and the Santa Fe are easy to insure! I totally agree that fit and finish on Hyundai and Kia is now a totally different thing for just a few years ago when these brands were nothing but "white goods" and Taxis.
I would be very nervous if I were JLR from a pure car vs car point of view but I think those attracted to JLR are probably often lead by the brand name over the actual quality.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru I'm sure they are... But even they must be fed up with £6k plus for insurance.
To me the Santa Fe just looks like the EV9. Shame that the hybrid has been given such a small petrol engine. Personally, it will be a real toss-up on the leasing deals between the EV9 and the Santa Fe.
👍👍
Could they not have made it a bit bigger 🤔 it's bigger than my apartment 😂😂😂🎉
😂👍
Looks like a new defender and an F-150 got jiggy
😂👍
4th, just missed the podium 😢
Love the look of the interior.
😉
Yeah it’s very nice
Bit of a marmite kind of car I guess. Either you like it or not. I don’t but would be interesting to see some leasing deals on those as well as how they will hold their value. 59k brand new probably around 40k in 1 year time?
Yeah I think it’ll be one to lease or buy used (as is the case for so many cars these days) 👍
No, it's designed as a Discovery want to be. Probably more reliable though.
Probably? Try definitely. Looks way better too.
It'll find it's market, but the sheer size and squareness doesn't appeal to me personally...
👌
Rear of the car is hideous, front is stunning though
People say the same about me
Why does nobody in car review videos talk about towing capacity especially on these new HEV & PHEV’s. The Santa Fe was easily in the top 3 vehicles recommended to caravan owners when looking for a tow car because of its high towing capacity and its ease of towing but this new Santa Fe basically can’t tow anything. This lack of towing capacity on electric and hybrid cars is starting to become a bit of a problem going forward.
I can only speak for myself but, in this case, I didn’t mention the towing capacity purely to wind you up 👍
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru 🤣🤣🤣
I must be hearing things sure you mentioned towing capacity at the start🦻🦻
I thought I had 😂. People often comment on stuff that’s missing from videos without actually watching the video 😂
Definitely not a beauty,
I think it’s a very good looking car.
Like you I love the look of the car and that colour wow I never thought I would like a brown but that mat paint is outstanding.
Yes it really works in my eyes
