Angry bulls certainly can be a problem. My dairy farm friend was stomped, nearly lost his life by an angry bull. I dosed his abx to help him pull through. Praise God for sparing his life. Blessings to all of you.
Glad to see him go, I've lived long enough to know of many men that died from angry Bulls . Happens so quick, even the docile ones can turn in a instance .
Sending the bull down the road is what needs to be done sometimes. Just because he's built right doesn't give him a stay guarantee. Thanks for mentioning your son, I had suspected he didn't want to be on here but I didn't want to ask. Tell him it's completely understandable, I dislike being in photos let alone on video or mom's utube channel lol.. although if he's single you might mention that some young lady may see him on here and fall head over heals :)
It's great to see everyone working together the kids and all I have done farming my entire life I really do miss it but u don't see that much kids doing the day to day stuff
I have to say I have watched a few of your videos and truly enjoy the seems to be eazy going family. Love the trust you put in your children no matter how dangerous or hard the task the job may be. I live in north central Louisiana and it brings back my kid days on the farm. looking forward to your videos. Thanks
Looks like you need to take all your trucks and load them with stone to put on your driveway. One muddy mess! Love watching your videos because they are funny while being informative. Keep them coming.
hi Ronda, good to see your back, good decision on the bull, i was attacked years ago with a bull, he lifted me with his head and bounced me up about 15 feet inside a shed and he was normally quiet. i used to milk cows for a neighbour and as soon as he heard about the bull he was off for burgers to the meat plant. stay safe and god bless you and your family.
You have to look out for the safety of the family when a bull or cow is continually aggressive, and want that out of the gene pool. Thank you for taking us along and sharing.

We had a Holstein Line Back Bull one time and He had to be the meanest Bull we had ever had, He chased me through our Free stall barn twice till I got tired of it and Made my Dad get rid off him before I made Hamburger out of him. I am new to your channel and am enjoying it very much.
Dont see that many bad Angus yes the cows can be when they calf but that’s natural . Love your channel We haves had about 75mm of rain this week wish I could send some to douse all the fires you are having . Cheers Robbie from a damp Scotland.
I'm glad he is arm deep in that cow then me lol . Just watching you guys clean that barn makes me think what awesome compost you could make out of that .
I had wondered why we didn't see the fourth member of the family, I just assumed he worked off the farm or was perhaps at Uni or college, but good for him. It's great to see your videos but it's not for everyone
Circle of life, it is good to ship the old bulls and start with some new genetics. With bull breeding do you source bulls from other farms or just keep really good records so you aren't inbreeding?
15 would be a great cow in the milk world but I have had cows at my grandparents that were over 20 and still bringing calves to that barn every year but we are in the beef business cows are different in lots of ways

Hi. Just subscribed. I think you make some really good videos. On this video you were worried about the bull, but why do a lot of your cows have horns? We used to burn them. You know they can head butt really hard also. I'm trying to get caught up on your videos. I'm a retired 24/7 had fun
Welcome to our channel! Some of our cows have horns because we either bought them that way or for a while I wasn't using dehorning paste and I never burned them off when they got older.
it's better to have a bull around that is talking to you all the time than having one of those quite bulls that for no reason just turns on you so fast one day because you weren't thinking about him. He usually wins.. the bull knows that his only job is to breed the cows and protect the herd.
that why i never like having bulls with the cows they can really hurt or kill your cows, thats why i like A.I over bulls i know more work but if you care for your cows much safer and for peopl or you're kids when they get the cows to the milking parlour.
The bull was angry because it's Jersey the older they get the worse they will become the same with most bulls put in the same pasture will fight one another but in different pastures will try to get to one another.
That's right you got to think about your family he'll be good beef good steaks I'll make sure I'll eat him and think about y'all as I'm eating that good T-Bone

Back in 2005 I was bringing cows up from one of our free stall barns shortly after midnight when one of our Holstein herb bulls decided he had enough of us messing with his girls. I remember him growling at me and I vaguely remember his head hitting me in the back. I woke up almost a week later at the U of M Medical Center with 9 broken ribs, a punctured lung a fractured pelvis and 13 other broken bones. That’s when the AI program went into full gear here. Haven’t had but a handful of clean up bulls ever since and none of them have been Holstein.
Angry bulls certainly can be a problem. My dairy farm friend was stomped, nearly lost his life by an angry bull. I dosed his abx to help him pull through. Praise God for sparing his life. Blessings to all of you.

Hi from North Dakota....enjoy your videos...God Bless! 👍🇺🇸
Hello! Thanks for watching.
The bull's always angry because he's paying a lot of child support. Lol.
Hey man all these other cows get attention they get milked, he just wants to know why he don't get milked now and then. Not fair dude.
That would do it
It's crazy how fast your channel is growing!! Keep up the good work. 👍
We had a couple bulls we wouldn't turn our back to,they're not fun, Great video thanks for sharing
watching you and those calves was like watching a teacher with a class of preschoolers at the mall. great entertainment, but nerve wracking.
Great to see you back, angry bulls are no fun they can turn on you anytime, family got to stay safe

Cleanliness Next to Godliness, looks like that is true with herd health as well, if you add dry in there. Stay safe!

It will be compost for my gardens. :)
@@acresofclayhomestead Have you ever thought about starting a bigger market garden ? I would think it would help bring in more money to the farm.
Smart decision

Mainly our bulls come from other farms.
extra happy calf after cleaning
Another great video 👍
How many times will y'all breed a cow before she gets put out to pasture? I've heard some people breed up to 15.
It all depends on the cow and her health. We've never had any bred 15 times though.
15 would be a great cow in the milk world but I have had cows at my grandparents that were over 20 and still bringing calves to that barn every year but we are in the beef business cows are different in lots of ways
Hello Ronda, you don’t look old enough to have a 20 year old 👍👍👍🇬🇧
Good move getting rid of the bull,
Glad your back. Good that bull is gone. One angry guy.
Mr bull needs to become supper..
Rhonda you look 29 yrs old in this video.Your so so pretty.

Enjoyed the vlog today. Glad yall got some internet back. Are there many dairy farms in the area? Have a good evening.
Thank you! Yes, there are a lot of dairy farms in our area.
@@acresofclayhomesteadI appreciate you for taking the time to respond. Can't wait for the next upload.
The timelapse of u cleaning the calf barn was pretty cool. Was wondering how u made it??
My video camera can record in timelapse.
I no it's a lot of work, but I wished I had a farm .. 😁😁
My father used to pull that glove inside out and if you didn’t have your head on a swivel, he would throw it right on your head.

Do the 2 older boys still live at home? Or have there own places and just help you guys out everyday.
They still live at home.
These chickens you have look very similar to what we call a light Sussex 🤔 good video again 👍
Yes, I think I have a few Sussex chickens.
Good night
I enjoy your videos and that's no bull :)
soon , the mud will be ...hard as a rock ...frozen ruts! And then to top it off ...a cow jumps over the moon!

Are all your cows Bread with your bull ?Or are some artificially bread ?
All are bred with a bull.
Times I cant even go in my pasture, because of my bull. He is always asserting himself.

Most bulls go for baloney meat.good beef bulls go for beef jerky. .
Sound like a good reason to be angry. How'd you like them do that to you?
Ground beef bull beef is great
Jersey bulls seem to be the worst to get anger issues with age.
Good lean bulls go to the beef jerky market..
Has that bull ever hurt you or anyone else
No, this bull hasn't hurt anyone, but we didn't want to wait until he did.

see you have one, that thinks he's a mountain goat.
Was the bull just a talker or has he tried running over everyone including Kevin
That bull was just a talker. Never hurt anyone, but didn't want to chance it either.
Especially when the animal weighs a ton
life is short enough without having a bull like that around , he might have left good calves ,but what price a life .
True!

Why do you use bulls instead of AI?
We like to keep things natural and simple. I'm not a fan of giving our cows hormones and it's also an added expense.
So where do you get your bulls?
