Yes, give that kid some safety glasses (some ear plugs too). If you get a spark in the eye, the rust spreads and the grind the rusty spot out of the eyeball with a tool like a dremel or dentist drill. It's hard to stay calm and still when they do that.
I like seeing everyone in the family involved with doing all the jobs that need doing. Great Snders is working with his hands out in the shop, but he needs some safety glasses when grinding. Thank you for inviting us in.
I was just watching the little guy using the grinder. You got to get him in the habit of using safety goggles one easy way is to make sure there’s a pair with every power tool. With an elastic strap one size fits all. He’s to young to go thru the rest of his life with one eye if he’s lucky.
Great video. She looks nothing like her daddy you two look like sisters and you don't look old enough to have kids that old. My wife is the same way. Some of us get lucky and find one that stays beautiful for life. God bless you and your family.
Beautiful farm, like how everyone pitches in to get the work done, never heard a bull before or a rooster, your son should have a face shield on,those kittens where cute, like your cooking videos, looks like the farm has a lot overhead, God bless you and your family
Ronda... just can't believe Mackenzie resembles you sooo much!!! No doubt about it!!! She's definitely your daughter!!! What a hoot seeing you both together! And just can't get over the great team work y'all have going on at your place. Not many families have that kind of relationship... and those that do really have a lot to be thankful for! So you & Kevin are doing a whole lot of things right!!! I'm sure Sydney is thankful for your guidance.. and Ethan, Sanders & Mackenzie will feel the same way when their times come to make their decisions! Totally amazing what y'all have going on!!!
Your kids are doing REAL activities while city and suburban kids are playing computer games. Watching your farm is a feel good activity. Your family is a together family. Daughter obviously likes her mom. 😁
Really love your videos. Your a blessing to me. Please never trust a bull. When I was 16 I had a Angus bull calf that I hand raised. He was my best friend. But when he got to be grown. He was just playing with me an knocked me up against the pipes in his pen. I ended up with 5 broken ribs an more bruises then I wanted. Milking cows in a stanchion barn stinks when your banged up. So please be careful around bulls. Never trust them. You probably already know this but I just had to share it. God bless! Thank you!
Lovely video it's good that you check on every one . It's a holdover from the time before cell phone and a lot of people think farmers are always wanting to know what others are doing . In reality there's a purpose to it. My dad had a hired man who didn't come in for dinner my mom knowing my dad and brothers were making hay at a neighbor called there and they came home when they found him he had a heart attack they put him in the truck and headed for town the nurse knew the doctor was playing golf ( true story) called the golf course and had him come in unfortunately he passed away but you can see how keeping an eye on where people are is vitally important. It's just another job for a farm wife or as one person said do you want to talk to the man in charge or the woman who knows what's going on Take care
Glad someone is getting rain. We have been in a drought here in Georgia for months. I have not had rain in several weeks with temps in the high nienties to low hundreds everyday. Seen crop failure in peanuts and other crops severly affected. Only good thing if there is one is cotton and peanut harvest in full swing.Early soybeans are getting ready fast.Double crop behind wheat is a total loss for the most part. Pastures are toast and have been for weeks. Folks are already feeding first cutting hay and some are selling down cause they can't feed cows. Maybe it will rain again someday and cool off. I am 60 years old and I have never seen 97 degrees on Oct 1st before. Kinda scary........ You are fast becoming my favorite ag channel.
Hi . I just want to say I love seeing your family doing what do . I think you have one of the real channels. And I look forward to see whats up on the farm. Thanks for bringing us along. 😀 Craig
My daughter doesn't care for gate watching either, but would rather do that than sort cows. We had a big storm and got 3' of snow so my wife and daughter are home with me today and it is too snowy to doing fencing or cow sorting. I guess we will clean house then play games.
Hey, mom. I know it's hard, but have him wear glasses when grinding on the bike. Your videos bring back a lot of memories when I was a kid. We used to stand outside the hog barn standing over the small door for them. A bother would shew them out of the barn and we sit on them on their way through the door to see how long we could ride them.
Your sisters . And I also have Brahma chickens. My rooster is only a year old and twice the size of the 2-3 year old laying hens. But so pretty. And I'm the only boy in my family 🙄 . Sure wish my 4 sisters would have been a forth of the help MKNZ is. Great work ethic has been taught to the kid's .👏👏 Not much of that now days. Great video as always and thanks again for sharing.
Rhonda The part where you told the cow ( nice) maybe she was just sneezing? Ha Ha Ha Anyways, I look forward to all your videos, keep them coming Good Bless your entire family
I wish we had some rain , where I'm at no accumulation of rain almost a year now. 5.5 miles from me where 1 of the Dairy Farmer field starts and 4 more dairy Farmers getting to much rain.
Hey ! Want to start by saying that I recently found your channel, so I'm new to you here, but I've seen as many of your videos I've had time for. and they are really great. What a wonderful family you are and that you have schooled your children at home, if the host's population was like your beautiful family - the world wanted to look completely different and much better. You and your wonderful children should be afraid of your all, life is shorter than you think. Some simple questions, I'm a little curious on how many cows and calves do you have about? is it just for milk production or also for meat production? I only have 5 Hereford cattle over the summer here in Sweden this year! . God bless everyone!
I forgot about the good ole manual slack adjusters on truck brakes. The rule of thumb that i go by is you don,t the push rod to exceed a 90 degree angle with the brakes applyed, with a 9/16 wrench tighten up all the way on slack adjuster then back off 2 clicks gets them adjusted up close. Were spoiled now with automatic slack adjusters on all on highway trucks. These new steering wheel holder's out here today wouldn't have a clue on adjustment of brakes. Most farmers make good mechanics. My brothers corn chopping truck a 78 IH fleetstar with the DT466 sits behind the barn 360 days for a mouse house then works 5 days out of the yr. Lol he never has changed the oil in it over 10 yrs a real farmers special. Hss to drain the water out of fuel tank every season. It don,t go no further than 2 mi from the barn.DOT would have a field day writing up that truck lol.
Do you breed any cows AI? We used to breed some of our better beef cows AI, but it was difficult to catch them at the correct time. Got some good calves.
Hi friend I'm New here in ur channel love ur videos, how u cook the eggplant n Say hello to ur beautiful daughter for me, Cuz she's beautiful love her 🌹n you r a cool mom . ARIGATO see u later Mom n ur daughter too ✌️🙏
You need some elevations shot to move the water, that has got to be tough on people and machinery working in a swamp. On your type of farm, if you have nothing to do, your not looking very hard.
Ronda, being mistaken for Mackenzie`s sister should make you feel good, Mackenzie is a very attractive young lady and so are you. You have an awesome family that works at whatever needs to be done on the farm.
@@acresofclayhomestead there are many cows but where I live is an average of 235 on 28 dairy farmers where some have up to 400 cows it is on an island that is part of Denmark
Oh come on... You look like all your children... And your both are the same height... Duke is one handsome fella keeping a close eye on his girls. Your Bull was just purring but goodness do keep eye on him...
He's a good bull. Holstein /Jersey cross. Throws good calves. But, he's getting older and starting to stand his ground, so it's about time for him to move on.
Ok I stand corrected he is a #$$ yep he is certified and wants to be a hamburger I switched to balancer bulls and absolutely love there docility they can care less what you are doing we just get a bucket and walk in the trailer he comes right with you I have the one right behind the house trained you say bull he looks up and heads your way we move him in and out of the lot next to the garden a lot so he just comes when you call him he knows at some point he gets food and a heifer so he has no issues following us wherever we go I know these bulls won't do you any good but you'll probably have to go hunting for one at some point
That bull has a bad temper. He's like the black angus my grandparents had and he hated my guts for no reason. He knocked me around one day when I was feeding so I went and got a whip out of my uncles truck and I went back in the barn and had my way with that rascal. Don't know it it helped because he went to the slaughter house the next week.

Please use wheel chocks when working between tires and wheels. Safety glasses when using grinders.
That is absolutely right! OHSA would own that farm if they were there and saw that.Safety,Safety,Safety!! You have to think of that every second.
