j-hope has great dance credentials. He was an underground hip hop/street dancer who even won national dance competition in 2008 with his crew Neuron. (btw his crew Neuron was mention in this song in his verse). You are right he would definitely take part in the dance battles, he did in the past! He also attended dance academy fo six years where he learned various dance genres. He is BTS' dance leader and one of their main dancers (main- the highest position in the group). I recommend to watch his dance compilations in the future.
