David Emmanuel should be forced to pay the extra EVERY TIME he goes over budget. Seriously.

The problem is when the bride falls in love with a specific dress (they she picked out on her own without the consultant) that’s significantly over her budget. The bride will be compelled to try it ion and no other dress will compare. Gok did help one bride with this problem but he can’t do what he did with that bride with every single bride who falls in love with an over budget dress. The salon would be losing money.

She was pressured into it. With all the dresses in that shop, they could have shown her a couple more dresses
    within her budget.

I could tell she didn’t feel happy nor comfortable going over budget. Only $175 over plus veil, shoes, alterations, jewelry, makeup and hair, and taxes is not than 175$. They should have told her the price before they put that dress on her. Although it looks very nice, they should have consulted with her first.

Taxes are included already, but it’s still a shame that they put her in a dress that was over budget and then pressured her. Very tacky

Can't believe they pushed her so hard to break her promise to her fiance not to go over budget, as if there's only 2 dresses in the whole world! She should've gone home and found that dress on eBay for 1/10th the price.

I hear you. But. What do we know about what we have seen here? It's a scripted show. Brides apply to be chosen and featured in it and they sign contract with production. They were watching the show and similar ones. They know what they are doing and what to expect. They are adults. This girl works. As an accountant. It's 148 pounds over budget. Hardly that difficult to work out. Replacing expensive paper on the invitations for slightly more affordable one would do the trick, taking one flower from table arrangements, or skipping few lunches out. Just a few. If it's utterly impossible, you don't say 'around 1500', you don't try on the dress without knowing the price, you don't apply to this show knowing their price range. You don't have meltdowns over a dress. You don't call 'friends' people who wear designer bags, seeing you melting down over 150 pounds without offering to help you out. The whole thing was worrying.

If you encourage the bride to go over budget, then it would be nice if you help with the difference which is a lot easier if the difference is 5 pounds/dollars only. There are other expenses the bride has to think of like alterations, the veil, shoes, and so many more every penny counts.

She looked beautiful in that first dress! Sad to see her lack of confidence. The second dress didn't look tight to me. I'm so sad for her that she set such limits on herself. I mean, it's $175 dollars difference. Of course, she still has to buy a veil, shoes, etc., so maybe that money is needed elsewhere. Or her entourage could each chip in $60 maybe. She said yes, but you could see she was still second guessing her decision. I hope she kept it and had a lovely wedding.

Usually I am all for staying within budget and dislike it when the dresses are 400 pounds or more over the budget. The bride had a very fixed idea of what she wanted, so they showed her the second dress after she disliked her first choice. To me the first dress looked amazing and the second one was also great as we can see the bride and her entourage loved it.
The entourage was giving their real opinion, they couldn't say the dress looked bad just cause it was slightly over budget, and why should they chip in , such ridiculous suggestion, don't they have to buy their bridesmaids dress, pay for the travel/lodging at the wedding location.
It was upto to the bride to say NO to that dress if she felt she couldn't afford it. However, given the price wasn't so out of range, it is worth it to buy what you love and save the hassle of visiting other shops for dresses. She could easily save on other things at the wedding. Hope she had a great wedding. I have feeling the bride thought that if she did not buy that dress, she would regret it later when she looked at her wedding photos.
