Recently got my hands on a k24a2 and I’m definitely hoarding everything required for this! Can’t wait to have a rd1 that can actually keep up with traffic Lmao.
Man, be careful with the heat! It's boiling outside. Glad you got your A/C going in the truck. In Louisiana, we're under dangerous heat conditions. I actually got dehydrated, even though I drank over 80 oz in 5 hours and went inside before 2 pm. Took me a week to get back to normal. Nothing bad happened, just felt rung out and I lost about 4 pounds in a day of water weight. I've stayed inside sucking up A/C, water and Gatorade for the past week. Once the heat index stops soaring above 110 degrees, I'll go out and do some more work, but until it cools off a bit, I have to limit outdoor activity to early morning and no more than a couple of hours a day, then rehydrate. I used to not be so sensitive to the heat, but it also wasn't quite so miserably hot as it is now.
Hell yeah dude nice work, i still need to charge my ac on the kswap rd1. As far as the wiring goes ive read you can re purpose the oil pressure switch wire in kpro to handle the ac so that you still retain factory idle up when engaging a/c. You think that's necessary? Ive herd it can affect low speed driving with ac like parking lots etc
Hey man unrelated to the k24. I have a b20z manual trans awd 270k just replaced my drive shaft and near propeller shaft the boot piece exploded lol any ideas on why I know because it also feels like I’m hitting a rumble strip when accelerating I parked my crv immediately after noticing.
Grease everywhere aswell lmao idk but I’m guessing I need a whole new drive shaft again? I don’t know believe parts are replaceable here? But also why would my drive shaft crap out after only 3 months?
@@hondaresource thank you I will definitely check this out as I did the lower torque mounts the day before and it was running perfectly fine with no noticeable issues I was doing the mounts because they were shot then felt better. But thank you I will check my axles
quick question, wouldn't it be easier to use the bseries stuff (change the pulley on the compresor) and build a bracket so it fits the k-series location?
Maybe you could possibly help me brother. I have a eg chassis. Everything is good to go for start up after 11 month solo build. K24a with k20z3 trans, in a 92 eg6. I bought a hybrid racing fan and I know the black is ground, and blue is power. To my understanding you can run the black cord anywhere on the chassis. But on a eg chassis where does the blue cord go to? If you could help me it would be much appreciated. I have it running off a manual switch on the dash. But I’d rather run it properly off my kpro V4
@@hondaresource thanks for the quick reply, I really would like to upgrade my existing stock radiator and condenser fans...as I am in Texas and have to deal with some of that southern heat as well 🥵 Just not sure how well they will fit/if they pull too much electrical current compared to the stock fans.
@@hondaresource Before my motor crapped out, it would work OK, but in traffic or at stop lights it didn't seem to feel like it was really cooling. I'm trying to figure out a way to get my car to have cool A/C like a modern car, or at least get it as close as possible

For sure. Even with the bigger tires it's no issue
@@hondaresource you’re a lifesaver thank you for all the Honda knowledge you’ve got to give us!

It's definitely been hot.

Mine seems to operate as normal.
@@hondaresource nice one, will follow what you have done here 😁
awesome progress on the build man, you get stuff done so fast its crazy, I think you insane knowledge on these hondas helps a lot haha
Thanks man, I appreciate it.
Bruh. I finally got a portable AC unit the shop/shack whatever you wanna call it. So much better.
Heck yeah man
I'm in Texas and hate this weather. But I wouldn't live anywhere else.
I deleted the AC in my K24A2 CRX.
We like it here in Alabama, of I had to choose another place to live, it would probably be Colorado... At least during the summer months

Stock fan wire. I think it's black with a red stripe
Nice!
How did you get the cruise control working with the k-series?
I just kept it all in place and ran the vacuum source it required
So is that radiator a "stock" RD1 radiator? I'm thinking about swapping my existing fans on mine to a set of these.
No it's a s2000

@@Carguyforlife you can do slim fans, but fans with a shroud work the best. I've had slim fans on a stock rd1 and it did fine.

Should of done J series from mini van that would of been sick, doesn't crv come with a k20 already?
No they come stock with a b20 totally different
