ABOUT JAY LENO'S GARAGE ON CNBC
Hosted by legendary comedian and “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno, the series explores our obsession with all things automotive. From classic cars to supercars and everything in-between, Jay is hitting the road to discover the most exciting, weird and wonderful vehicles ever made and meet the passionate people behind their wheels. Each one-hour themed episode features a mix of stunts, challenges, reviews, and celebrity interviews that showcases the colorful history of the automobile. Whether he’s exploring the story of an iconic brand, road-testing the newest super car, or investigating the latest automotive innovations, there is no wheel Jay won’t get behind to tell the story of our love affair with the car.
About Jay Leno: Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, much-in-demand corporate speaker, lovable TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist…it’s no wonder that Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.”

Arguably the most beautiful car ever created. After completing the 1962 GTO for Ferrari Bizzarrini wanted to take the concept to the next level and this 5300 GT Strada was the outcome. It is much like the human body... When viewed as separate pieces it is not beautiful but when assembled, can be breathtaking. I love when Leno has a car on this program that he clearly pines for but doesn't own.

@@aliceshaw8265 "Leftists and the EPA"? It was the Trump administration that recently wanted to force the EPA to approve a higher percentage of ethanol in gasoline... to reward farmers for being a reliable voting bloc for him. I live in a farm state, so I'm 100% aware that except for a very few high-pollution areas where some kind of oxygen-bearing additive is needed during the summer months, ethanol in gas is just a "welfare for farmers" program. I use it because our state's [Republican] government gives it a tax break, so it's usually about 20 cents per gallon cheaper than non-ethanol gas, but I don't have any illusion that it's anything but a subsidy. Still, if you're going to subsidize somebody, farmers are a good choice, because in the event of trade disruptions, it's hard to switch people's metabolisms to "alternative fuels"...

I'm pleasantly surprised that they went through with posting this video, and also reassured because this is what owning vintage cars is really like. You have Jay Leno featuring your car with a full film crew and you go to take it there and it's suddenly running like s*&t. That's life with old cars, or bikes, or anything vintage, tbh. THE OPERATORS OF HEAVEN HAVE RESERVED A SUITE ON THE TOP FLOOR OF THE AUTOMOTIVE PANTHEON REALM FOR MR. BIZZARRINI! ALWAYS ADORED THE LAMBORGHINI MIURA (SEE THE ITALIAN JOB (1969), MICHEAL CAINE - SONG - ON DAYS LIKE THESE) BUT THIS 1967 BIZZARRINI 5300 GT STRADA GOES WAY BEYOND. IN THE FANTASTIC REALM, A GORGEOUS EXAMPLE OF AUTOMOTIVE ART, OOZING WITH SUBLIME SEXINESS.
JAY, YOU GOT ONE OF THE GREATEST JOBS IN ALL OF HISTORY, AM ENVIOUS AND SALUTE YOU!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK AND YOUR GOOD NATURE BROTHER!

My absolute favourite car of all time👍👍👌👌
The first mid engined Italian supercar.
I was lucky enough to own one briefly in 1969, orange, a fabulous car., and so is this one... fantastic.
I've always yearned for another one.
    Thanks Jay for this👍👍✌️🇬🇧

    • @user-ss2ly1ir6j

The stance is all wrong. Kinda ruins it for me

    • @duygukayhanisaskank4915
      @duygukayhanisaskank4915 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree. The stance takes a while to appreciate. It's purposely engineered into the design. It "centers" the weight for road-hugging stability & better handling when cornering.
This odd design provides full advantage of the frontal "midengine" placement.
The vents on the front fenders are functional. They provide an escape for incoming air.
At high speeds, these fender vents will keep the nose from lifting.
The rear fender vents provide an exit to keep air from compressing in the wheel wells.
There-by, making the rear of the car stable at high speeds.
      Best regards,
      Ben

    • @duygukayhanisaskank4915

In reality, the raised front is an optical illusion...viewing from either side.
The use of a "slightly" different size tire on the front would soften the illusion.
      But I wouldn't advise it.
When viewed front-on, it's difficult to discern the very slight lift//rise in the front.
The front fenders are high to accommodate the complex suspension, chassis & steering components.
Viewed from the side, the fender hump & the "tucked-under" nose gives an illusion of the car angling upward. In reality, the centerline of this car is virtually level from rear to front.
      Best regards,
      Ben
