If you have not driven either you really are only commenting on assumption. I have an F13 M6 w/comp package, catless DP's, HCP STG2 and I have a friend with a comp package M3. I love the nimbleness of the M3, but it doesn't hold a candle to the M6 on roll races unless the m6 is stock and the M3 is heavily modified. The M6 is a roll race monster, not 1/4 mile unless you have a lot of time at the track, nittos, DSS axles and drive shaft, running meth, 100 octane or better, SSP clutch. You have to really get use to the M6 if you think your going to be a 1/4 mile champ. Even then the car is limited due to weight and gearing. But I can say, I love the look on guys driving lambos, Ferraris and other high performance cars when my turbos kick in and I roll past them.

+BLine941 Are you a moran? The Huracan 610-4 the baby lambo is 10.0-10.5 sec 1/4 mile car out of the box.The baby lamborghini would kill the m6. This modified comp pack m6 had 690 hp and only ran a 11.9.

I have M6 with Stage 2 PureTurbos , JB4, Built clutch for up to 1500hp, MSR intake, Full exhaust, high flow Downpipes and stage 3 BME tune. 740whp so I'm wondering after seeing this if it will do in 10s

Little update: ran my bone stock 2017 M3 CP last night at the same track and my two times were pretty identical with 11’70’s @119 mph.

I dont know what's harder to learn. Setting up launch control or just learn how to launch your car with skill and finesse.
Can someone explain why the M3 isn't considered jumping?
Brooks is your vbix data reading 'trap' speed or final velocity? Might be final velocity (speed at the 1/4 post rather than average speed through the trap which the track displays) which would explain why it's so high on the vbox.
Also holy crap that's annoyingly step heavy to launch the car. Looking forward to the new 10 second M6 with AWD, something BMW should have embraced 10 years ago with these 400+ hp power levels.
To get the true vbox numbers you have to download the stuff onto the computer and then analyse it as the time intervals between measurements is quite long, ive not used mine in years now and im surprised nothing new has come along to replace it. The 2.5 mph extra you see could be right off the start due to it not accurately recording the 1ft roll out speed/time. Looking at the 1/8th speed that is also 2.5 mph down to his vbox numbers!

Makes me wonder what my M6 will run. I have new 6 with stage 2 PureTurbo upgrade, JB4, MSR intake, Stage 3 BME tune, Full exhaust,High flow Down pipes and built clutch for up 1500hp. Car has 740whp and never been on a track I'm betting after seeing this it can hit 10s

Honestly i expected him to get like low 12s like everyone else usually does with these cars(they all just mash throttle) but really not that bad he matches like stock times. Im sure hed get much lower time and all if he had more practice at the strip and got better tires.
If you need launch control to get 12's you should be driving mini vans

I have this car and would never even consider a 911 as I simply do not like them.
As for the headrest my M6 is coming up to 5 years old and the leather apart from usual side bolster wear you get in all cars not just BMW is in perfect condition still.
I suspect the owner of the car may have done a fair amount of track use wearing a helmet which has caused the creases in the headrest. 👍🏻
I own an 2016 M6 Comp, If you know anything about this car, the headrests fold in to cup your head (like 1st class seats on an airplane), that's where the creases com from. By the way, they are extremely comfortable.

It’s a dinan tune and in hot as fuck summer Florida air. 124.5mph in 100 degree humid Florida air is 130mph at sub 10.9 on street tires in negative DA like the weather all the other “records” were set in. Never raced the same car in the summer vs early spring? Big difference you’re not aware of.

God knows what BMW was thinking to give the new M series of cars such terrible exhaust notes. That M3 sounds comical. At least AMG got it right even while having turbos and to some degree Audi as well.

It has an Akropovic exhaust according to the guy In the video so not BMW. Coupled with the fact if it’s Akropovic it’s going to be titanium on a twin turbo car it’s never going to sound as decent as a quality stainless steel system on an NA.
They also have to take into consideration every countries laws and regulations regarding exhaust noise levels and sound for vehicle manufacture.
I have an M6 and the standard system is really good once the flaps open. One of the best sounding set ups I’ve heard is the stock system with the flaps locked open and just catless down pipes. 👌🏻
Keep in mind that’s a tuned M6 v stock M3! I drove both and own a f80. With a little tune that M3 would eat that M6 up all day.
I mean it's almost like it's 1200 pounds lighter. It would better to see them do a rolling start. Pretty sure the M6 is slipping.
Sahib Chahal M6 is around 4300lbs my M3 hit the scale at 3650lbs. So 650lbs difference no where near 1200 lbs lol

BMW M performance exhaust and akrapovic exhaust have a $3,000 difference in cost...there has got to be a difference lol
M-performance titanium exhaust is by Akrapovic, my M6 comp has it and its labelled Akra on the bottom of the pipes, not sure if the standard comp exhaust is akra, but its a 9000 dollar option here in Canada
