You got the first guess right. I was sambal. They usually dont serve chutney for roti canai. Roti canai it's either dhal, fish currry, and maybe sambal
Jimmy and iChang, you both are probably intriguing the Japanese who are used to Japanese curry and have never known the many ways curry can be enjoyed.
Yay ichang and jimmy visits bangsar again. Btw there are a few more shops or stalls selling roti canai you may have missed around the 2 areas that you went to ☺
So this is my experience. I love Roti Canai coz its good. And not every places of Roti Canai is pricy as you had. My most expensive Roti Canai is at KL cost RM4.00, but that price is for Roti Sardin. Roti Kosong cost RM1.60. So, overall, i will order Roti Kosong 2 pieces and Roti Sardin 1 piece. Total will be RM9.60. Yes its expensive and that is the only time I'm spend only for Roti Canai. Next day, I tryna my hard find the best spot to eat Roti Canai coz its delicious. Seeing Jimmy enjoyed eating like that😂😂😂😂always impressed. Jimmy did enjoyed eating it👍👍👍👍. Have a great day both of you❤❤❤. From fans, Malaysian
Jimmy and iChang if you order roti with special dish like lamb or chicken curry, you can still ask/request for the other usual dhal or fish curry, it should be free. It’s nice to mix curry😅👍🏽. Great video!
In my place still can get roti canai for rm 1.20. You two really craving roti canai. My favourite meel to start my day life. Hope can belanja ichang & jimmy. Have a nice day.
Roti canai is usually crispy when it is first made. If the shop keeps it in the tumbler (container) then it gets doughy and loses it's crispiness. It also generally depends on the individual recipe of the shop.
Wow. Roti canai premium 🤭. Actually some roti canai shop sells roti tisu giant size. Really giant size. Do check that out... Again, I m hungry becoz of Team ichang. I did not know the apom place next to TMC. I will try for sure. Thanks for the intro👍🏻
I hope ichang & jimmy could continue this hopping series..they already did the nasi lemak hopping..now roti canai..what else after this?cant wait for their next food hopping 😋
Nice video Ichang & Jimmy. Would love to introduce you my favourite roti spot & their Tosai - Kanna Curry House, and they are famous for their banana leaf, so your roti has 3 types of gravy. Next is more for Jimmy, my to go to nasi kandar spot - Nasi Kandar Utara SS15, try their teh ais too, perfect combination.
To find your dragonball roti canai, I recommend you to compare the distinctive taste of mamak style, malay style, indian style, and nyonya style roti canai. There are many hidden dragonball of roti canai outside of Bangsar. My personal fav is Raju in PJ but this is of course indian style….
Roti Canai is one of 'Energy Booster' meal, my favorite is Roti Canai Bawang with curry sauce from curry ikan (very umami taste), usually i order two sets, should try it. Perfect for Breakfast or Tea time.
I could be wrong but, I don't think that was passion fruit in the Lime Kulukki Juice, I'm pretty sure its basil seeds, also I've lived in Bangsar my whole life and TMC is the supermarket my family goes to the most for decades, but I've never been to that Apom shop, will try the Apom some time soon, thanks!
Mohan's appam shared the place with Brother's claypot briyani. The claypot briyani has different levels of spiciness. And it is cheaper than most of the claypot places around KL. Try that la the next time. (Try their mutton claypot briyani).
There are 3 type of roti canai in gerenal in Malaysia, the malay roti canai is more crispy, the mamak roti canai is similar to malay one but curry is different and the Indian roti canai normally not oily crispy outside soft inside serve with fish,Dahl or chicken curry
Back in the 1970s roti canai was different. The dough was in the form of a spiral, sort of like a Roti Bom except the size of a roti canai. Everyone made it like this - Malays, Mamaks, Indians.. The only thing similar these days is the "Kawan" brand of frozen roti canai. The reason is if you tried making a roti canai in this form with the pre-made dough balls they get from the dough ball factory, you end up with a roti bom. If you talk to the guy making the roti canai maybe he can combine two dough balls together and make one. He would have to charge you double, of course... 😁
Nasi kandar not just the only one has kuah banjir, your both's favourite. Roti canai has it too! They pour all the 3 kuah dal, kari & sambal onto the roti. All flavour mixed & just, surrrrrr.
Love this video. Will try the apam. Besides roti canai mamak, u may try roti canai at malays and indians restaurant. Their dhals are the best. Guarantee satisfaction.
Try eat roti canai with different curries now. Fish curry like tengiri abit asam (sour spicy) or eat with sotong/prawn or crab curry. Each will give you different taste.
I love your channel i-Chang ❤ keep up the good work 👍👍👍 And I am really amazed you two really like our Malaysian food 😀😀😀 You should try the roti canai at Raju Restaurant in Petaling Garden, Petaling Jaya 👍

Very journey of eating roti canai. I enjoyed viewing your video. Good job, Ichang and Jimmy.
Very interesting journey, correction 😅
Can try tosai "garing".. Very nice😊
Have you tried roti canai with half boiled eggs? So good.
I hope you guys tried a bite of dipping in mixture of dhal+curry or dhal+sambal+curry or dhal+sambal.
Jimmy is like a local, he can identify the pisang type! Next time you can also do dosa or tosai marathon? In Bangsar there is the famous Bala’s.
Tosai also super niceeeeeeeee
I only like roti with 3 types of sauce. 😊
Also try Love Mum at Klang. Very nice appam
Ok i need to find the apom shop soon
Mahbub has one of the best roti canai. But personal favourite Kanna Curry House Seksyen 17, u must try their roti planta !!!

next time when hv roti canai mix the sambal with the Dhal or curry = effect is better...yummmmmssss, also you shld try thosai....another gem!!
Roti Canai is also my favourite
The 'red dhal' you guys mentioned is usually fish curry. Also many places outsource the dough of the roti canai instead of making their own.
Roti canai all day long? You might end up getting constipation. Nice video guys. But why only Bangsar area? Needs to be all four corners of Klang Valley.❤❤
Great video as always but way too many adverts. Do you choose how many adverts to put in?
Try Salim Dheepah Maju at USJ17, or Sri Melor at SS19 Subang
Thank you to both Ichang & Jimmy for this Roti Canai Hopping video. ❤
now 4am n i want roti canai now hehhehe 🤤
I believe you could be flying down to KL just to eat roti canai here and return😅.. talking about missing the taste and craving for it.
In kelana jaya roti canai kosong is $1.50 per piece n get gravy dhal n curry n sambal
My 2 favourite roti canai in Klang Valley - Restoran Syed SS19, and Raju's Banana Leaf. Please try. My favourite in Malaysia - in Sekinchan
If you're ever in Bangi again, try "Warung Sri Nangka Mad Zin" for roti canai and nasi lemak. They only open for breakfast.
For me a light, airy, crispy is the best.
