    This video helped me a ton, man. I actually shouted it out in my most popular vid from a few weeks ago. This might be the best fb instructional vid out there.

    Love that the information is dense yet the video is short. Much better than a 20 mins of incoherent rambling like many other uploaders out there. Looking forward to more.

    Thanks very much for your works man! Your videos have been helping me a lot since Ultra. I hope you make more tutorials like this, since it's pretty fascinating to see how players who are deffo better than I am thinking about what to do during the match.

    This was a fantastic guide! Really looking forward to the next one :-). I wish there was a new and updated version of the old footsies handbook guides on Sonic Hurricane as well for the new blood coming in for SFV. Some of the examples in there were from such old footage it's hard to see.

    I have no idea why this is in my reccomended after 3 years, but I‘ll gladly watch this again lmao
    EDIT: It‘s been a while since I‘ve seen it, but now I understand this much better. I’ve improved a lot since back then. I‘m actually glad I‘ve got this reccomended. I appreciate your hard work with every character you main. I don‘t main neither Ryu n‘or Sagat, but I know your content is just quality pure and reliable, I wish I was this good at analyzing this stuff. thx for sharing this!

    Hi Total Sagat,
    I've been looking for an instance where anyone would use my Ryu Vs. Cammy setup. At 3:53 you show Daigo using the Back Throw setup I created as seen on my channel. I'm glad someone who actually thinks understands it is useful. For some reason many players say "no decent Cammy would ever perform an EX Spiral from Ryu's Back Throw distance." My setup was designed to be done so no Cammy ever could do it in the first place as they should once in a while and especially upon seeing the startup of a Fireball. I'm going back to watching the rest of your video now. If you've not seen my Hadouken Magic (regular and EX) videos then check them out! I'm sure you'll enjoy them as many have so far. Keep up the great work!

      +Kaizen Master Hey mate, great channel! Some good stuff in there. There is another reason he uses st.lk on wake up too, he's using it to look if the opponent quick rises or stays down. On a quick rise he does nothing, but if they don't tech the wake up you can dash up and pressure.

      You are right! That is what I do as well when I'm whiffing the move. I have to watch them to make sure I can AA them if they do Quick Rise during the whiff of my Normal. It looks like you've started a series. I look forward to Ep.#2.

    i am having a huge problem linking mid game range....nuetral range....and long distance. I think its my risk reward thats broken.

      Spacing and Space control is extremely hard in SF5 with how the characters have been designed. Honestly most of it is to do with S2 Ryu being a bad character with bad options on top of the already crazy meta. Don't beat yourself up too much. Try playing a few games without using fireballs, you'll start to see that opponents then have to adjust to you not doing any risky things.

    I've caught myself revising this video a few times. Do you remember when they standardized the recovery on all of Ryu's normal hadokens?

    • @TotalSagat
      @TotalSagat  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      He go hit very hard S2. I think everyone complained about the LP fireball from memory.

    • @LegendaryJiggXV
      @LegendaryJiggXV 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I meant to say "revisiting", @@TotalSagat . Yeah, according to Shadaloo, all his normal hadokens have 14 frames of start up and 45 frames of recovery. That's a big ass change from 32 frames of recovery on the LP hadoken.

    • @LegendaryJiggXV
      @LegendaryJiggXV 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I picked the game up in August of last year, and, up until yesterday, I was still playing like there was a difference in the frame data across the normal hadokens ( 😂). Better late than never, but I really thought LP hadokens gave me more time to DP in 2020 😂😭😂

    great video man!! I just got to super silver and I've been really insecure about my fireball game, because some guys don't jump like crazy like in the lower ranks...this might be what I need...

    Nice work there, I needed some fireball help, as it weird as it sounds, I barely use it with ryu, I almost always get punished, 3800 cp player btw

    he's using standing short to keep mika from doing c.hp

    • @TotalSagat
      @TotalSagat  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He buffers fireball/EX tatsu behind the st.lk to catch stray pokes, If Mika C.HP you probably just want to whiff punish that with sweep.
