    For those of us who just want a mode of transportation that is basically an electric bicycle that is covered and protects us from the elements, this might be an answer. Could be less than $1000 with a federal tax credit depending on battery size and US MSRP. I imagine the US MSRP will be closer to $12,000, making the vehicle closer to $6,000 after applicable tax credits for a small battery pack. Tiny but tall 4-seater cargo EV van that takes 20 seconds to get to 60 mph. Very short expected electric range. No other specifications available.

    I would absolutely be interested in one if the price and range is at the right point, they should try and give it a bit more range and definitely more power than the gas version which would be easy enough eg. over 40kw...the whole world needs a practical affordable no frills Ev.

    I would definitely see every market globally having a need and demand for this little van, especially as an electric.
    Mazda's recently revealed rotary (spinny-dorito) in the MX30 could find a use in these small range EVs. If it could fit...

    There may be a use case for vehicles such as this, but it doesn't overlap with Aptera's, especially in safety.

    But is it sold in the states now? When it does you can be sure the dealers will jack the price up to make it about average with anything else out there. This, in turn would cause it’s failure.

    True that it is hard to compare to the Aptera, but I have a friend that does home maintenance and it would be the perfect vehicle to replace his car and truck.

      I imagine there are a lot of utility workers who don't need all the space that their big vans have and could downsize, save some money, and help the environment all at once

    "Only" 64bhp.How much do you need,in a small,light vehicle!My Honda vans only had half of that power.

    Not going to be eligible for the tax credit, as it will not be assembled in the US or use the battery materials to qualify. It does not have the range or speed to be compared to the Aptera.

      It may still be eligible for state incentives!!

      And nobody knows what vehicles will be eligible for tax credits in 2025, the manufacturing landscape is constantly changing

    Hardly. There are much cheaper EV mini cars and utility trucks in China. Suggest using a search engine on the internet.

      I'd love to see some of them. Could you list a few and I'll look into them and maybe make some videos on them?

    What is top speed of the electric version ?

      Later on in the video it was said that it did 0 - 60 in > 19 seconds. Therefore it has to at least do 60 mph.

    • @apterabites3590
      @apterabites3590  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct, but remember those specs are for the internal combustion engine version. Specs for the EV haven't been released. I do predict the EV version would be closer to 12 seconds 0 to 60, with a max speed around 75 mph.

      @@apterabites3590 12 seconds? That would be as fast as my Mitsubishi Mirage! Pretty kewl.

    People like to speak about "stability", but I betcha Aptera will be 10X more stable than this N-Van. I would still welcome the N-Van to the US as I see much utility for it. But I will assure you that Stealerships will immediately addd the $7,500 credit on top of that and more for shipping and more because of their perception of "what the free market is willing to bear", so I would anticipate it's MSRP to be roughly about $11,000 in the U.S. market. Yes, go figure. That would still be a great incentive to buy one, even after all the cooks have gotten their hands in the soup and sliced away pieces of the pie for themselves as "value added" contributors. Such is the nature of the opportunistic American economy, which benefits just about everybody but ... We The People. What is it's 0 - 60 like? That's probably irrelevant because people buying it will not do so with the intent to take it down to the local drag strip. But it might make for a great camper or delivery van if it sports a decent range. Imagine putting solar on the top hunk of flat real-estate it has on its rooftop?

    • @fanfare100
      @fanfare100 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry I just saw that later on you stated the range and its acceleration. I still think there's utility for it. I just fear the Stealerships? Why? Because my mom & dad purchased a Kandi straight from China and with shipping and all it cost them $8.500 but here in the U.S. they planned to sell it for an whole lot more. Another thing which will likely jack up the price are safety compliance certifications, crash tests and their associated costs. That's what Kandi had to contend with before they gave upo the ghost about selling their vehicles as open-road certified. So now they only sell crippled NEV versions of them that do not exceed 45 miles per hour to try to recupe some of their losses, until until they finally rid themselves of their already outdated stale inventories.

    • @apterabites3590
      @apterabites3590  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All awesome points and I agree, they'll try to increase the prices. I don't think this vehicle will sell if the MSRP is more than $13,000. And yes, I thought about the solar range capability on that flat sun ray tray on top.

    You can even get one,with great range,and no charging.Yes,it runs on petrol.I had three Honda vans,and all did 100,000 miles ,plus,all bought used.
