i see it as kinda a very "independent" thing. many countries are like that i personally have been known to apprently freak people out cause of my tendency to wear leather jackets and have a dark resting face so i try to smile so people dont think im scary. id likely do this in europe too simply cause americans have bad reputation as travelors

Some common sense. Whenever they said America it was a cringe fest.
Well... maybe for countries like China or North Korea, where the government/policits suck but it's not the peoples fault because a lof of them are indoctrinated and have no access to a lot of information.
But I can't count this for countries like the US or even Russia. US americans can get every information they want and half of them decides to be morons anyway and give in to the illusion they're the most awesome countrie with the most freedom, the greatest democracy and the healthiest society on the whole damn fkn planet. It's not that there're "a couple" of such people there... you will find morons everywhere on the earth... it's about fkn half.
American here. I visited Norway several years ago for almost a month and absolutely LOVED it. As with any country I visit, I research their culture, social norms, etiquette, and try to memorize as much of their language as I can if it is not a language I speak already. I even watch videos of how they dress beforehand so I can blend in. I met some of the nicest people, and made some friends I'm still in contact with to this day. Then I got to the airport and while waiting to board, encountered the most loud, obnoxious, arrogant IDIOT of an American making everyone cringe. I hid from the guy he was behaving so badly. My heart sank because I realized in that moment, it's those types (that annoy a whole room full of people) who leave such an impression on so many. The ones who have the intelligence and respect to abide by the locale's code of conduct go unnoticed by such crowds.
You are part of the problem too, dont act as if you're above it all. You are American, so you have the same brainwashing.

That's all it takes is a visit to the right place to help feel that the regular people are different from the government and the small groups of crazy people on the news aren't the overwhelming reality.
The media can certainly change views in an instant, they can show literally one person with a crazy flag in a crowd and make it seem like that's going on all over the place.
I know the same is true in Russia too, there's lots of nice and good people there even though there's a strong language barrier but the government is a mess.

73. When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Which of the two parties is better in position, and superior in influence?”
74. How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who surpassed them in riches and splendor?
75. Say, “Whoever is in error, the Most Merciful will lead him on.” Until, when they see what they were promised-either the punishment, or the Hour. Then they will know who was in worse position and weaker in forces.
76. Allah increases in guidance those who accept guidance. And the things that endure-the righteous deeds-have the best reward with your Lord, and the best outcome.
159. Those who suppress the proofs and the guidance We have revealed, after We have clarified them to humanity in the Scripture-those-Allah curses them, and the cursers curse them.
160. Except those who repent, and reform, and proclaim. Those-I will accept their repentance. I am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful.
161. But as for those who reject faith, and die rejecting-those-upon them is the curse of Allah, and of the angels, and of all humanity.
162. They will remain under it forever, and the torment will not be lightened for them, and they will not be reprieved.
163. Your God is one God. There is no god but He, the Benevolent, the Compassionate.
164. In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of night and day; in the ships that sail the oceans for the benefit of mankind; in the water that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives the earth with it after it had died, and scatters in it all kinds of creatures; in the changing of the winds, and the clouds disposed between the sky and the earth; are signs for people who understand.
165. Yet among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals to Him. They love them as the love of Allah. But those who believe have greater love for Allah. If only the wrongdoers would realize, when they see the torment; that all power is Allah’s, and that Allah is severe in punishment.
166. Those who were followed will then disown those who followed them, and they will see the retribution, and ties between them will be severed.
167. Those who followed will say, “If only we can have another chance, we will disown them, as they disowned us.” Thus Allah will show them their deeds, as regrets to them, and they will not come out of the Fire.
168. O people! Eat of what is lawful and good on earth, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. He is to you an open enemy.
169. He commands you to do evil and vice, and to say about Allah what you do not know.
170. And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has revealed,” they say, “We will follow what we found our ancestors following.” Even if their ancestors understood nothing, and were not guided?
171. The parable of those who disbelieve is that of someone who calls upon someone who hears nothing except screaming and yelling. Deaf, dumb, and blind-they do not understand.

58. This is what We recite to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder.
59. The likeness of Jesus in God’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was.
60. The truth is from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt.
61. And if anyone disputes with you about him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, “Come, let us call our children and your children, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and let us invoke God’s curse on the liars.”
62. This is the narrative of truth: there is no god but God. God is the Mighty, the Wise.
63. But if they turn away-God knows the corrupt.
64. Say, “O People of the Book, come to terms common between us and you: that we worship none but God, and that we associate nothing with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides God.” And if they turn away, say, “Bear witness that we have submitted.”
65. O People of the Book! Why do you argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Will you not reason?
66. Here you are-you argue about things you know, but why do you argue about things you do not know? God knows, and you do not know.
67. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a Monotheist, a Muslim. And he was not of the Polytheists.
68. The people most deserving of Abraham are those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe. God is the Guardian of the believers.
69. A party of the People of the Book would love to lead you astray, but they only lead themselves astray, and they do not realize it.
70. O People of the Book! Why do you reject the revelations of God, even as you witness?
71. O People of the Book! Why do you confound the truth with falsehood, and knowingly conceal the truth?
72. Some of the People of the Book say, “Believe in what was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day, and reject it at its end, so that they may return.”
73. And trust none except those who follow your religion.” Say, “Guidance is God’s guidance. If someone is given the like of what you were given, or they argue with you before your Lord, say, “All grace is in God’s hand; He gives it to whomever He wills.” God is Bounteous and Knowing.
74. He specifies His mercy for whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Sublime Grace.
75. Among the People of the Book is he, who, if you entrust him with a heap of gold, he will give it back to you. And among them is he, who, if you entrust him with a single coin, he will not give it back to you, unless you keep after him. That is because they say, “We are under no obligation towards the gentiles.” They tell lies about God, and they know it.
76. Indeed, whoever fulfills his commitments and maintains piety-God loves the pious.
77. Those who exchange the covenant of God, and their vows, for a small price, will have no share in the Hereafter, and God will not speak to them, nor will He look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They will have a painful punishment.
78. And among them are those who twist the Scripture with their tongues, that you may think it from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say, “It is from God,” when it is not from God. They tell lies and attribute them to God, knowingly.
79. No person to whom God has given the Scripture, and wisdom, and prophethood would ever say to the people, “Be my worshipers rather than God’s.” Rather, “Be people of the Lord, according to the Scripture you teach, and the teachings you learn.”
80. Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to infidelity after you have submitted?
81. God received the covenant of the prophets, “Inasmuch as I have given you of scripture and wisdom; should a messenger come to you verifying what you have, you shall believe in him, and support him.” He said, “Do you affirm My covenant and take it upon yourselves?” They said, “We affirm it.” He said, “Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.”
82. Whoever turns away after that-these are the deceitful.
83. Do they desire other than the religion of God, when to Him has submitted everything in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be returned?
84. Say, “We believe in God, and in what was revealed to us; and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses, and Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.”
85. Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.
86. How will God guide a people who disbelieved after having believed, and had witnessed that the Messenger is true, and the clear proofs had come to them? God does not guide the unjust people.
87. Those-their penalty is that upon them falls the curse of God, and of the angels, and of all mankind.
88. Remaining in it eternally, without their punishment being eased from them, and without being reprieved.
89. Except those who repent afterwards, and reform; for God is Forgiving and Merciful.
90. As for those who disbelieve after having believed, then plunge deeper into disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted; these are the lost.
91. As for those who disbelieve and die disbelievers, even the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them, were he to offer it for ransom. These will have a painful torment, and will have no saviors.
111. And say, “Praise be to God, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.”

@@Kay-jg6tf If you get the chance to visit, I’d recommend centering your stay around the national parks. My favorites are Yosemite, Rocky Mountain, and Grand Canyon. For more urban areas, NYC and the Bay Area are great. But for the urban areas, I warn you that the amount of homeless people will probably shock you. But they’re still great places and worth visiting.
I've watched dozens of these "which country do you hate" videos now and was surprised how little people say USA. I felt like America is universally hated. I am surprised that Norway of all places, is the first video to reflect what I suspected about the sentiment in other places. I have many Norwegian friends and none of them seem capable of hating a whole country.

One thing I feel is important to separate is the people from the politics. Yes, the political system in the US sucks with a 2 party system consisting of 2 horrible parties that every election seems to cough up horrible presidential candidates and where the majority often lose elections. You can hate the politics but don't hate the people. Unfortunately gun loving right-wing anti-vaccine extremists get a bit too much media attention in international media providing a bit of a distorted impression and putting the US in a bad light. I certainly don't hate Iranians who are some of the nicest people on the planet even though I hate their regime in power. So do most Iranians by the way. The same can be said for many of the totalitarian regimes around the world like North Korea, Belarus, and China.

As a french, i would say it depends on where you go in France, because in Paris especially, must of the people are focused on work, busy, and overall seems pretty unsocial, moreover our english in general isn't that great but we're working on it. When foreigners thinks about France, they only thinks about Paris, but there are so much better place to visit and that i find way more beautiful and nicer than the capital city.

Trust me, it only gets worse when you go to many places in Europe. Americans are so villainized and hated in Europe that many fly Canadian flags on their backpack so they're not harassed by the locals.

New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine are the exception. It’s absolutely beautiful and the people are very grounded. There are parts of the USA that are very reserved. I grew up in such an area. My husband and children moved to the south and it was quite the culture shock. I’m looking forward to the beauty and history Scandinavia has to offer. I’ve been mesmerized with the architecture, people, nature and so many more things.❤️

86. How will God guide a people who disbelieved after having believed, and had witnessed that the Messenger is true, and the clear proofs had come to them? God does not guide the unjust people.
87. Those-their penalty is that upon them falls the curse of God, and of the angels, and of all mankind.
88. Remaining in it eternally, without their punishment being eased from them, and without being reprieved.
89. Except those who repent afterwards, and reform; for God is Forgiving and Merciful.
90. As for those who disbelieve after having believed, then plunge deeper into disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted; these are the lost.
91. As for those who disbelieve and die disbelievers, even the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them, were he to offer it for ransom. These will have a painful torment, and will have no saviors.

Been to just over 40 countries and unfortunately id have to say Norway was the least friendly out of all my travel experiences, id recommend travelling there with friends not alone, landscape is dramatic and stunning

I could be wrong but the reason why i feel they're quite unfriendly compared to any other country ive visited because they are very content in their groups whether friendships, work collegues, but they are really not willing to let you in, dont get me wrong you meet a norwegian abroad they're super friendly, but once back in their homeland different story they close off and very very hard to make friends, i spent 6 months there travelling around spoke a bit of norwegian as well, very lonely place, i flew from Norway to Ireland and the first night in Dublin i had the Irish with their arms around me, phone numbers exchanged, friends made, job offers, great people, reminded me more of being home in northern Australia, just my opinion, so to sum it up Norwegians are quite capable of getting out of their comfort zone when abroad but dont reciprocate the same hsopitality they receive abroad to foreigners when theyre back home due to being in their close nit groups

In Swedish, and probably Norwegian, there are two words for "educated": utbildad/bildad. She's probably referring to the latter. And it's probably true even if a generalization. So many Americans know very little about the world outside. They even find Canadians weird, only for not being like them.
And of course, not all Americans are like this. But it would at least not surprise me if it could be scientifically validated that Americans are the least knowledgeble (among developed countries)about the world outside of their own country. They are simply not interested. I guess you could say they're busy doing other stuff.

The northernmost city in Norway (and probably also all of Europe) is Tromsø, which is situated in Troms. Finnmark is East of it but despite that, it's significantly colder. That's because Tromsø is located along the coastline, which means it has access to the gulf stream, whereas Finnmark doesn't. The gulf stream is essential for Europe's climate as a city like London would otherwise have a climate like the one of Siberia. The northernmost city in Finland is Rovaniemi and it's quite a bit colder than Tromsø. It's not as snowy by a quite a big margin but it's colder. Something like 10°C and it's further South as well.

The video was made in Oslo, the capital of Norway, and it's not so cold there. Even in the winter it doesn't get as cold as many other parts of the country, so that's probably why I wasn't surprised by the girl who said that she doesn't like the cold. I see the irony though 😂

1. In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
2. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
2. God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. He is the Sublime, the Magnificent. Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made for you mates from among yourselves, and pairs of animals, by means of which He multiplies you. There is nothing like Him. He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
3. He sent down to you the Book with the Truth, confirming what came before it; and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel.
4. Aforetime, as guidance for mankind; and He sent down the Criterion. Those who have rejected God’s signs will have a severe punishment. God is Mighty, Able to take revenge.

25. And shake the trunk of the palm-tree towards you, and it will drop ripe dates by you.”
26. “So eat, and drink, and be consoled. And if you see any human, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Gracious, so I will not speak to any human today.'“
27. Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have done something terrible.

37. But the various factions differed among themselves. So woe to those who disbelieve from the scene of a tremendous Day.
38. Listen to them and watch for them the Day they come to Us. But the wrongdoers today are completely lost.
39. And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded. Yet they are heedless, and they do not believe.
40. It is We who will inherit the earth and everyone on it, and to Us they will be returned.
58. This is what We recite to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder.
59. The likeness of Jesus in God’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was.
60. The truth is from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt.
61. And if anyone disputes with you about him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, “Come, let us call our children and your children, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and let us invoke God’s curse on the liars.”
62. This is the narrative of truth: there is no god but God. God is the Mighty, the Wise.
63. But if they turn away-God knows the corrupt.
64. Say, “O People of the Book, come to terms common between us and you: that we worship none but God, and that we associate nothing with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides God.” And if they turn away, say, “Bear witness that we have submitted.”
65. O People of the Book! Why do you argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Will you not reason?
66. Here you are-you argue about things you know, but why do you argue about things you do not know? God knows, and you do not know.
67. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a Monotheist, a Muslim. And he was not of the Polytheists.
68. The people most deserving of Abraham are those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe. God is the Guardian of the believers.
69. A party of the People of the Book would love to lead you astray, but they only lead themselves astray, and they do not realize it.
70. O People of the Book! Why do you reject the revelations of God, even as you witness?
71. O People of the Book! Why do you confound the truth with falsehood, and knowingly conceal the truth?
72. Some of the People of the Book say, “Believe in what was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day, and reject it at its end, so that they may return.”
73. And trust none except those who follow your religion.” Say, “Guidance is God’s guidance. If someone is given the like of what you were given, or they argue with you before your Lord, say, “All grace is in God’s hand; He gives it to whomever He wills.” God is Bounteous and Knowing.
74. He specifies His mercy for whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Sublime Grace.
75. Among the People of the Book is he, who, if you entrust him with a heap of gold, he will give it back to you. And among them is he, who, if you entrust him with a single coin, he will not give it back to you, unless you keep after him. That is because they say, “We are under no obligation towards the gentiles.” They tell lies about God, and they know it.
76. Indeed, whoever fulfills his commitments and maintains piety-God loves the pious.
77. Those who exchange the covenant of God, and their vows, for a small price, will have no share in the Hereafter, and God will not speak to them, nor will He look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They will have a painful punishment.
78. And among them are those who twist the Scripture with their tongues, that you may think it from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say, “It is from God,” when it is not from God. They tell lies and attribute them to God, knowingly.
79. No person to whom God has given the Scripture, and wisdom, and prophethood would ever say to the people, “Be my worshipers rather than God’s.” Rather, “Be people of the Lord, according to the Scripture you teach, and the teachings you learn.”
80. Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to infidelity after you have submitted?
81. God received the covenant of the prophets, “Inasmuch as I have given you of scripture and wisdom; should a messenger come to you verifying what you have, you shall believe in him, and support him.” He said, “Do you affirm My covenant and take it upon yourselves?” They said, “We affirm it.” He said, “Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.”
82. Whoever turns away after that-these are the deceitful.
83. Do they desire other than the religion of God, when to Him has submitted everything in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be returned?
84. Say, “We believe in God, and in what was revealed to us; and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses, and Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.”
85. Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.
86. How will God guide a people who disbelieved after having believed, and had witnessed that the Messenger is true, and the clear proofs had come to them? God does not guide the unjust people.
87. Those-their penalty is that upon them falls the curse of God, and of the angels, and of all mankind.
88. Remaining in it eternally, without their punishment being eased from them, and without being reprieved.
89. Except those who repent afterwards, and reform; for God is Forgiving and Merciful.
90. As for those who disbelieve after having believed, then plunge deeper into disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted; these are the lost.
91. As for those who disbelieve and die disbelievers, even the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them, were he to offer it for ransom. These will have a painful torment, and will have no saviors.
111. And say, “Praise be to God, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.”

68. By your Lord, We will round them up, and the devils, then We will bring them around Hell, on their knees.
69. Then, out of every sect, We will snatch those most defiant to the Most Merciful.
70. We are fully aware of those most deserving to scorch in it.
71. There is not one of you but will go down to it. This has been an unavoidable decree of your Lord.
72. Then We will rescue those who were devout, and leave the wrongdoers in it, on their knees.
73. When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Which of the two parties is better in position, and superior in influence?”
74. How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who surpassed them in riches and splendor?
75. Say, “Whoever is in error, the Most Merciful will lead him on.” Until, when they see what they were promised-either the punishment, or the Hour. Then they will know who was in worse position and weaker in forces.
76. Allah increases in guidance those who accept guidance. And the things that endure-the righteous deeds-have the best reward with your Lord, and the best outcome.
159. Those who suppress the proofs and the guidance We have revealed, after We have clarified them to humanity in the Scripture-those-Allah curses them, and the cursers curse them.
160. Except those who repent, and reform, and proclaim. Those-I will accept their repentance. I am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful.
161. But as for those who reject faith, and die rejecting-those-upon them is the curse of Allah, and of the angels, and of all humanity.
162. They will remain under it forever, and the torment will not be lightened for them, and they will not be reprieved.
163. Your God is one God. There is no god but He, the Benevolent, the Compassionate.
164. In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of night and day; in the ships that sail the oceans for the benefit of mankind; in the water that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives the earth with it after it had died, and scatters in it all kinds of creatures; in the changing of the winds, and the clouds disposed between the sky and the earth; are signs for people who understand.
165. Yet among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals to Him. They love them as the love of Allah. But those who believe have greater love for Allah. If only the wrongdoers would realize, when they see the torment; that all power is Allah’s, and that Allah is severe in punishment.
166. Those who were followed will then disown those who followed them, and they will see the retribution, and ties between them will be severed.
167. Those who followed will say, “If only we can have another chance, we will disown them, as they disowned us.” Thus Allah will show them their deeds, as regrets to them, and they will not come out of the Fire.
168. O people! Eat of what is lawful and good on earth, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. He is to you an open enemy.
169. He commands you to do evil and vice, and to say about Allah what you do not know.
170. And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has revealed,” they say, “We will follow what we found our ancestors following.” Even if their ancestors understood nothing, and were not guided?

Oslo is cold in the winter.
As an American with a multicultural background imo we are very friendly, inclusive and confident in our actions...
It’s too diverse here for there to be any specifics on the representation of our behavior or intelligence and how it can be presented is very limited.
It’s no secret that it’s spread out here and each State has it’s own capital, cities, villages and towns. Judging state by state is fair game, but if you don’t live here or haven’t visited than you wouldn’t understand.
The west coast lifestyle isn’t the same experience you’ll get on the East coast. Here in The US, many of Midwesterners and northerners have southern roots but are nothing like southerners and florida is in the south, but it’s more of a tropical experience and it’s nothing like the rest of the south or the people living there.
Example:
the regions, terrain and natural environment changes and with that the accents, the clothing, the wildlife and traditions as well. Depending on the climate of where you live here in the US your accent can change, the way you dress may change to adapt to the new environment and your lifestyle in general can change it’s all about your choices here and the company you decide to keep.
