I bought this about a week ago. I was in the market for a high end Taylor for quite some time this was definitely worth the wait. What really struck me is how balanced and aged it sounds. Although brand new, it has the tonality of an instrument that is fully broken in with a rich and established sound. Also the redwood top is a perfect match for the rosewood back in sides. This was well worth the wait.
What a lovely Taylor! Great playing too, really showcased what this high end Taylor is capable of. I know Taylor is a polarizing brand but I could never understand it. Even their layered guitars are magic.
Stunning guitar. I can't help but think if the pickguard was darker, even just solid dark brown, it would be even better. I love a good burst. Great job! Cheers.
Beautiful guitar aesthetically and acoustically. The redwood tones are warm yet articulate and very contrast comparing to the Adirondack spruce which tones are lush yet mellow. I have the Adirondack spruce version and I want to have this redwood version badly. LOL
I guess I’ve watched every video I can find on this particular guitar. I have wanted an 814 for a long time and then they come out with this.🤩 I play at 314 CE right now and I intend on keeping it… But if God decides to bless me, I will have this instrument as well. I look at it as an investment that just keeps on giving. I think the price of them will continue to go up through the years so like I said, it’s an investment, an asset.
Hello...... what's under the hood an inspection mirror please OH! those braces are fill in the blanks ----------- ----------- ------------- -------,,,, and are shhhhh can't say we just get paid to play ther guitar that's nod gonna happen! it does matter to me but your subs. should be told even if it takes more time I for one who have owned Taylor's know that the bracing is heavy and dead sounding . But whom am I to judge someone from somewhere thanks great guitar playing. tune erup ,move out rawhide .
Always find an angry comment below a Taylor review. Perhaps you don’t like the sound of this guitar. Fair enough. Other people seemed to have loved it. I’m biased toward Taylors so this instrument sounded anything but dead. The ringing of the last chord hung in there for quite a while, perhaps not long enough for your taste, but there are plenty of other fine instruments you might like to buy from Eddie’s!

That is a nice sounding instrument. I am not usually a big fan of redwood tops, but this example shines and may change my mind.
If you check out their video of the tunnel 13 redwood by Santa Cruz you might even crave a redwood top even more so lol
Wow. It is incredibly balanced. Nice low end and sparkle, but great mids with the redwood as well!
Very nice instrument! Assertive, rich voice, fullsome low end, bright but mellow high end.
Sweet!
4:07 such a beautiful progression! I’m gonna steal that! 😂😂 a dream guitar! Sounds so good!

Bravo, Matt and Jandro!
My dream guitar, so beautiful.
Outstanding demo. You do a perfect job of demonstrating the guitar’s characteristics.
Nice review Tom Green 🫶

There is no way there are not one, but FOUR Ryan Nightingale guitars at the back...WOW.... You really have some serious heavy weights in that room.
