- The 50th Anniversary Builder’s Edition 814ce LTD celebrates our flagship guitar with an ultra-refined version featuring Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a sinker redwood top. Rosewood's rich lows, sparkling highs and lush overtones complement the redwood's blend of cedar-like warmth and bold projection, all turbocharged by our V-Class bracing. Like its standard Builder's Edition sibling, this model boasts a beveled armrest, beveled cutaway, chamfered edges and a Curve Wing bridge for seamless playing comfort. Limited-edition appointments include a gold-hued mother-of-pearl peghead logo and matching Element inlays, maple purfling around the fretboard and peghead, a green abalone rosette, premium Gotoh 510 tuners, and ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots. Finished with a Kona edgeburst and a full-body gloss, this all-purpose Grand Auditorium sports a commemorative 50th anniversary label. Production will be limited to 1,974 guitars worldwide.

the sound quality in this video seems to be more upgraded than usual, i can really hear that guitar and all its flavor.. great job guys!
The corners are “Radiused”. Great video!
Thanks Quinton and Paul. I agree this is a great sounding guitar. However, I love my Music Villa Taylor Custom Shop C-17 (Lutz-Walnut). Thanks.
Wow thats a nice sounding (and looking) guitar.
Beveled arm rest and cutaway, with chamffered body edges is how Taylor describes their builders editions.
Sinker redwood looks and sounds great
Wow! Guessing by the smile on Quentin's face he liked it too. Very different from your sitka/ rosewood mahogany traditional stuff, but beautiful tone in its own right. And the looks? 🤯🤯🤯❤
To me, it looks like crap. I despise cutaways and not fond of most Taylors. Pass.
I just bought one of these they sound very mediocre
I am fortunate to own a 1999 Taylor 810 that i bought new and i still can’t believe the neck on it it is amazing to play my only complaint is that the finish isn’’t aging well which is annoying since it lives in it’s case when I’m not playing it i also have a 2007 Martin D18 vintage which also lives in its case and that finish is still as good as the day i bought it new .that 814 is beautiful .
Thank you for the video !
Can you tell what was played at 5:30 please ? Was it improvisation or do you have the name of the song ?
I've been waiting for this one!!
Great video! I believe the term you guys are looking for is “Venetian cutaway”
bevel is the word you were looking for btw boys!
that guitar is 5 K
holy cow
When do we get the video of that Alvarez MD60BG in the background? 😅.
is the term beveled edges that you're looking for?
Beveled?
Beautiful looking guitar but the sound is too tinny for me
not a fan of the stained back and sides, and the matte headstock
Mine arrived today from Alto Music. It sounds very average definitely not worth $5000. I will be returning it.
For $4,999.... naaa
VERY tin-like sound for a guitar - no bass at all.
