I have my friend’s MIG 100 on loan. It is frighteningly loud. The wool is insane. It’s like a Marshall got drunk at a bar and just started punching random people. It’s a one trick pony to be sure - but it’s a great trick.

@@LocoDiablo9 you say "Boosted with a Big Muff" is it just boost you are using to hit the valves or did you add some Big Muff distortion also?
@@AlienSexGod Hey Man, I was using an early version black russian muff with the sustain way down and the volume and tone way up into the amp with gain at 12 ocklock. Gets that half fuzz, half overdrive feel. The NYC Muffs don't really like a gained out amp but the Russians seem a bit more flexible.

I love my mig100h so much. I just wish the 2 inputs were channels. The hi I put has no chill. It’s crunchy with barely any volume and the lo input takes pedals so well. If only they were separate or you could even jump them without a mod.

Guys, watch out - 100 watts is stupid loud. As an owner, I advise you to seriously consider the 50 watt option.
It's been a while since I used it, but we couldn't really push it past 2 master volume.
To be fair, they never made a Mig 100 U or H in a 50 watt version. The Mig 60 is close but much thinner and brighter than the Mig 100. The Mig 50 is more like a Fender bassman style amp without a ton of gain unless you find a Tube Midget H. They seemed pretty rowdy!
I've had mine since 1996. I now use it for bass and it dominates!
Great head wish we could find them in the UK.

Care to share the settings used in the last bit of the video? Also got one of these monsters.
Imants Safronovs so for the all out portion: presence at 3ocklock, treble 1, bass11, Mid 2 volume 11 and gain at 5. With the Black Russian Muff, it was the same but gain down to 2 and the mids were higher to cut through.
Is it an illusion,or is that poor Peavy cab buckling from the massive weight he has on top of it? I see it best @ 1:09 into video :)

James Zelazny jr Hmm. The peavey below the Sovtek and Randall is a Ultra plus Guitar head and that is on top of the line 6 cab. I don't see it but maybe it's the fish eye lens?

Hey Juan, this demo was done through a line 6 cab with celestion v30s. Def good mids and controlled bass. sounds killer with my sunn 6x12 with hot 100's too. A very good Marshall style head with its own kind of nastiness

Totally stock. I had Sovtek(of course) 5881s with a combination of ussr and Chinese 12ax7s.

Umbrylical sorry for the delay. This is a Gibson LP LPJ that my buddy used as a test bed for his wiring experiments. Complete with heavy relicing, dremmel-routed jazz master pickup in the center position and a snapped off headstock.
