The American Corporations hate paying American workers, but they want to make top dollar off of the Economy. The balance is broken and it's obvious that Tariffs were needed long ago. Government trusted business not to get greedy.
While tariffs are levied on imports, the cost is ultimately passed down to consumers. Importers raise prices to account for the additional expense, leading to higher prices on everyday goods like electronics, clothing, and food. When an imported product is subject to a tariff, the importer (such as a retailer or manufacturer) pays the tax. To cover these costs, the importer raises the price of the product sold to consumers. For example, if a $100 product faces a 25% tariff, it now costs $125, and the extra $25 burden falls on the buyer. So how are Tariffs going to help? This is why it is important to understand how Tariffs work.
@dazlederose take a look at the American Shrimp industry? Forest Gumps character made lot's of Money. But, nowadays with all the frozen imports and government regulations on how many shrimp?
Depending on where you live. You can live pretty good at $60,000 per year in the South and Midwest! $100,000 is middle class in every city except for several cities in the U.S.
600k jobs by 2033 is such a small number it doesn’t even make a dent in the overall market. The tech sector lost several million in the last few years and even then that was only about 5% of the overall market. So a very small percentage of American jobs will be lost in the next 9 years? Maybe 0.1-0.5%? This is news? It’s simply the natural change of technology and work trends.

Best case scenario you make great money for 15-20 years then spend your savings on medical bills.
If they paid 110K, they'd have a line out the door of willing workers...
@@chad2399True Story. Mechanics in Florida make less than a high school grad as an entry level stocker at a grocery store in Michigan. I have the evidence for that.
Pay more or better, yet the capital owner can get his lazy ass out there. Lord knows he was the only one really benefiting off the company
Be a Registered Nurse. Move to the Bay Area and apply for a job in major hospitals there such as Kaiser, Stanford, and UCSF.
I am happy i made the right decision of taking this path. Now I am a registered nurse here earning $120/hour.
Yes cost of living and taxes is expensive here but despite of that I can still save more and invest more here.
Please, if you are a nurse, apply for a California RN License and move to work here as a Registered Nurse.
some of us are too old to go to nursing school.
@ understandable.
For everyone saying there’s blue collar jobs and the trades are great as a production welder I ve been out of work for 4 months now cause no one is hiring an if they are they only paying 18 to 19 a hr an work you 12 hr days… great if your single with no kids but for me as a single dad with two toddlers no one wants hire me cause I have to take care of my kids and can’t work 12hrs aday
Only job available TH-camr.
I'm a single guy making about 50k a year. I consider myself fairly thrifty but it has been getting harder and harder to save money and as a result work as become less enjoyable. I've been searching for a better, higher paying job but it's brutal out there.
It's really sad when engineering jobs are being outsourced and replaced with AI. So Americans are no longer going to be innovators, we're going to be repair techs. This makes me sad. Long gone are the days of innovation and growth.
Truck drivers will be replaced with robbots soon, I have those goofy robots outside Kroger.
Exactly there is no middle class jobs.
The employer class made too many bad decisions that harmed the masses.
Boeing got rid of Quality Control Inspectors.
40 to 100 is to narrow. If one is making 40 then they are having trouble eating, paying rent and utilities. at 100k you have an old car, small home, food, utilities, and insurance but you can't save.
Remember when everyone tried to convince us that AI was a 'positive thing' and wouldn't hurt the average working class?
Corporations have been taking jobs overseas long, long long, long before AI could even formulate proper sentences. All AI does is take people who have certain skills and make them even more valuable, while taking people with average skills and making them less valuable.
I agree with your report on what jobs will be available however we have not got to the 2030s yet so technology can rapidly change that list of okay paying jobs to a very few paying jobs
I don't TRUST cbs news !!
lol 😊 Lowest unemployment ever and “we need to get the economy figured out “
You mean highest unemployment rate so many people without jobs
@ apparently you weren’t of working age in 2008
@@valentinakren8816 It is sarcasm lmao
Shift, pivot, and flop.
Americans in general fail to be willing to be adaptable to the changing economy. No one owes you a factory job where you live. Get new skills, move, own your own business or have a skill someone’s willing to pay for.
If you can adapt you can deal with your job going overseas or being automated as these things take massive amounts of time and resources. Change what value you add to the world and you’ll outpace these forces.
Sadly the US glamourizes the whole “my grandpa was a coal miner, my dad was a coal miner, I’m a coal miner, I want my kid to follow in my footsteps 🤔
Not everyone can just up and move.
It's called hokey cornballism...maga like 1950.Aint gonna happen.
@@MarieLamour-cv1jcWhat situation might someone be in where they can’t move?
@@TheMahonj Some of us have elderly parents and kids. I wouldn't expect you to understand. You always tell everyone that it is so easy to uproot everything, and it is not. It also takes tons of money if you live in places like California. It is easily 5k for a uhaul out here. I find your statement insensitive & idiotic.
In addition, my husband has a job. Thus, it is not easy to just uproot. When you obtain more life experience outside yourself, circle back.
@@MarieLamour-cv1jc Maybe you have so much trouble accomplishing goals because you are hostile and rude. Just look at how you speak to people, attacking them with insults at the first question or slightest sign of potential disagreement. You get out of life what you put in.
By design.
who will work &produce goods then and who will buy merchandise !?5% of rich ones!!
40k is poverty now!!
I am losing my middle class job next year. It has been the best job ive had in the last 15 years.
I keep seeing analyst jobs
and this is why I work with natural disasters.......sorry AI. You can't beat Mother Nature...yet.
Hmmm..massive layoffs coming to Ramsey Solutions?
He talked big game about how he would never lay people off. Do not forget Ramsey filled bankruptcy MULTIPLE times lol
Guess you'll have to learn a trade, bwahahahahaha
So its going to be more training for less wages. The economy is officially broken.
PhD in Chemistry. Good luck kicking us out of the work force. And schools pay you to get a doctorate.
How long did it take to get the PhD after finishing your BA?
@JakeAkstins mine was 8 years since it was a pretty complicated biophysics problem. Most are 5 years and most people skip a masters. Average school has a 30k salary for their grad students who teach. Most teach. Future proof career if you are skilled in the lab.
How can I get a university to pay for my PhD? I already have a Masters degree in HR Management
You study chemistry biochemistry physics or math at an R01 research institution.
A computer program can replace you
Ken, the internet has been around since the 70’s. 😂
Why do people post dumb comments like this?
1920 ? Wow, Ken, you are old.
This is the best economy of my lifetime. If you can’t make it now, it’s not the economy.
Are you living on Mars?
@ Nope, the real world
Lol, "These jobs are non existent."
Ramsey- "Are you doing the envelopes?"
Also oh Ken just took the long way around to say "Learn to code....better."
