ලංකාවේ ණය අර්බුදය | Sri Lanka Debt Crisis

ඇඩ්වොකාටා ආයතනයේ නවතම වැඩසටහන් මාලාව 'Deep Dive' නමින් දියත් කර ඇති අතර එහි සමස්ථ අරමුණ වන්නේ රාජ්‍ය ප්‍රතිපත්ති පිලිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කිරීමයි.
මෙහි ප්‍රථම කොටස "ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ණය තිරසාරභාවය වැඩි දියුණු කරන්නේ කෙසේද?" යන මාතෘකාව යටතේ ඇඩ්වොකාටා ආයතනයේ සභාපති Murtaza Jafferjee (මුර්තසා ජැෆර්ජි) මහතා විසින් කොටස් තුනක ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම් මාලාවක් ලෙස මෙය ඉංග්‍රීසි බසින් දියත් කරන ලදී.
එම සාකච්ඡා මලාවෙහි පළමු කොටස ඇඩ්වොකාටා ආයතනයේ ප්‍රධාන මෙහෙයුම් නිලධාරී ධනනාත් ප්‍රනාන්දු මහතා විසින් සිංහල බසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදි.

The Advocata Institute launched its latest public policy discussion series 'DeepDive'. This series commenced with several discussions on the topic "How can we improve Sri Lanka's Debt Sustainability?".
The discussion series kickstarted with three-part primers by Mr. Murtaza Jafferjee, Chairman of the Advocata Institute.

2003 දි ණය/gdp 100%ක් පැනල තිබුන ණය 2015 දි 70% අඩු උනා ඒක 2018 දි 85% ට වැඩි උනා. කොවිඩ් නාවා නම් ටුවරිසම් වලින්ම ගොඩ එන්න තිබුනා.

if debt to gdp was very high and gdp very low in 2018, how did we achieve a positive primary balance? please explain sir

Primary balance was achieved with tax increases. The primary balance is revenue - expenses (without interest). When we significantly increased the taxes that lead for a primary balance surplus
