I would calm down a tad knowing the driver has had a federal background check to allow him a permit. This cop definitely seems weird about it. I’ve never seen this kind of reaction ever. You see many law enforcement agencies run the drugs, car theft rings, prostitution and other crimes in your area. It's a shown fact that CCW holders commit less crime than LEO'S. Worked in a small county where 911 response time was north of 35 min. We actively encouraged our folks to buy and carry guns. Told everyone that we love and care about our community...... but that's 35+ min you have to fight off a home invader before we arrive. Just wish city folks could have the community mentality we do out in the woods. I feel like that would help not just with criminality, but power hungry officers as well.

AND we clear cut both sides of the fence every 6 months for 10 feet each side. Last year my father shot one in the leg by accident because the trespassers weren't wearing safety gear. They tried to get my dad arrested for attempted murder. The deputies around there know that my family own the property and that it's fenced and marked because they have to deal with this every few years. The trespassers were arrested and hauled off. They threatened to sue my dad and the cops laughed at them and told them that my father has already won over 15 civil lawsuits from trespassers and had gotten paid by them from counter suits, but they were welcome to try...

Happens everyday in the state of Georgia. What they do when they stop you is open your door then pull you out. Then they put you the back of the car as they tear apart your car. I once spent the afternoon filming such stops on I-95 between Savannah and Brunswick just to see if this was a normal occurrence. After 4 hours I recorded State Troopers and officers from 4 other PDs. In almost every occurrence they pulled the driver out of the car. In half the stops they searched the car. Made no arrests except to write citations. Apparently no guns found that day. This was on a Tuesday. In that four hours I recorded 26 stops. On my last observation I was seen by the State Trooper. He immediately crossed the median to inquire on what I was doing. I told him I was filming content for a story. He immediately called for backup. Needless to say I went through the exact routine. Sit down in the back of his car. Waited 45 minutes until two of his buddies showed up. Waited another 35 minutes while they went through my car. Confiscated my cell phone. Had to drive to Trooper's station to get my phone back the next day. It was in a manila envelope. It was in about a dozen pieces with the card missing. Right now litigation. Their argument is that it's illegal to park on the side of a bush highway so we'll have to see how this developed. Never got a citation. DA completely ignored the phone destruction.
I've been told by two separate long haul truckers. That if a California Highway Officer spots a concealed firearms permit when asking for a drivers license that is out of state. That they were handcuffed while the officer was searching the truck. Stating it is probable cause to believe they had a handgun.

A guy I know got a fine, from a game warden in Pennsylvania, while and for shooting a gun at a gun range which he was a member of, in good standing. He was fined for shooting while NOT having a Pennsylvania hunting license. I begged him to fight this, give me a copy of the ticket, or even tell me what game warden did this or even at what shooting range, because I wanted to join and get the idiot to give me a similar ticket so I could fight it. I guess it could all be bs but he swears it’s not even though he won’t prove it. He claims he simply paid the fine and moved on.

The DLC had a "no guns" rule for the events, and of course the local police enforced their corporate policy as if it was law, which was an obvious dodge to circumvent the state's firearms preemption act. After 4 hours I recorded State Troopers and officers from 4 other PDs. In almost every occurrence they pulled the driver out of the car. In half the stops they searched the car. Made no arrests except to write citations. Apparently no guns found that day. This was on a Tuesday. In that four hours I recorded 26 stops. On my last observation I was seen by the State Trooper. He immediately crossed the median to inquire on what I was doing. I told him I was filming content for a story. He immediately called for backup. Needless to say I went through the exact routine. Sit down in the back of his car. Waited 45 minutes until two of his buddies showed up. Waited another 35 minutes while they went through my car. Confiscated my cell phone. Had to drive to Trooper's station to get my phone back the next day. It was in a
manila envelope. It was in about a dozen pieces with the card missing.
Right now litigation. Their argument is that it's illegal to park on the side of a bush highway so we'll have to see how this developed. Never got a citation. DA completely ignored the phone destruction.
They're asking retired RCMP to do the confiscating program, lol

I've been told by two separate long haul truckers. That if a California Highway Officer spots a concealed firearms permit when asking for a drivers license that is out of state. That they were handcuffed while the officer was searching the truck. Stating it is probable cause to believe they had a handgun.

As someone who lives in CT it gives me comfort to know that police in my state are disciplined when they make mistakes such as treating an innocent man like a criminal just for having a permit. Meanwhile we treat criminals like innocents. Blue states are the best!

Violence is an intentional act, there may be an increase in firearm related injuries (and likely an increase in rural traffic accidents) at the onset of a hunting season, but methinks that prof classified anything that involved an injury with a gun in a 1 mi radius as "gun violence". We really need to stop using their double speak when critiquing them. Very few people, if anyone, would defend a crappy cop like that one. And it was IN CONNECTICUT, a known anti-2A state. In fact, it's amazing anyone there gets a carry permit in the first place because the Democrats who run that state hate armed self-defense so much.
I know that gun deaths rise drastically within 48 hours after deer season opens, and its the deer who end up on the slab, or bear, or hog, or most big game that happens to be in season. The politicians need to come on and try to live in the real world where tomorrow may be your last decent day until you die. Its a fact that they have no clue what life is really like for the rest of us just trying to make ends meet where we can. A few days and we can get enough meat to survive on for 6-8 months.

A guy I know got a fine, from a game warden in Pennsylvania, while and for shooting a gun at a gun range which he was a member of, in good standing. He was fined for shooting while NOT having a Pennsylvania hunting license. I begged him to fight this, give me a copy of the ticket, or even tell me what game warden did this or even at what shooting range, because I wanted to join and get the idiot to give me a similar ticket so I could fight it. I guess it could all be bs but he swears it’s not even though he won’t prove it. He claims he simply paid the fine and moved on.

In Texas our RTC permits have the same # as our DL or State ID. If we are carrying we are asked to present it at the time we give our DL or State ID.
These sorts of stories are why the people in power do everything possible to keep the rest of us divided and hating each other. Never forget that Breonna Taylor was murdered by cops who falsified the warrant, shot and killed her while she slept, then arrested her boyfriend because he tried to defend himself and his dying lover from the murderous home invaders. And then lied and lied about all of it and more, including accusing Taylor of being a drug dealer and everything else they could think of to distract from their many crimes.
Also, a judge just dismissed the charges against two of the murderous goons who killed Taylor, repeating the claim that her boyfriend caused her death because he had a gun and was using it against the armed goon squad that came in firing.

Ken Paxton: Here in Kentucky, we have KRS 65.870, our firearms preemption act that prevents city and county governments from creating their own laws related to firearms or ammunition, which would result in a patchwork of arbitrary gun laws that no honest citizen could consistently follow. Local governments were ignoring 65.870, so a few of my buddies and I found a legislator to fix the law. Official misconduct penalties were added for local officials who were blatantly violating the law. In my town of 300,000 people the local government was hiring the Downtown Lexington Corporation (their crony buddies, essentially the local government version of the perpetual deep state) to administer various civic events. The DLC had a "no guns" rule for the events, and of course the local police enforced their corporate policy as if it was law, which was an obvious dodge to circumvent the state's firearms preemption act. When we were updating 65.870, I had them add a specific prohibition to local governments outsourcing gun control to avoid the state's firearms preemption act. Tyrants gonna tyrant.

People if you live in the United States and you're legal abiding person when you buy that gun you have to go through background check that background check put you on their registry there is a registry even though there's not supposed to be everyone knows it and confiscation were to happen only the good people that have bought the guns legally in there as they say according to the government. The only guns that would get confiscated from the law-abiding citizens not the criminals it wouldn't help at all so make it a free-for-all for the criminals to do their criminality and victimized the people that can't defend themselves now
