Are those referred to as the 5mph bumpers? Some of the older BMWs here, in particular the E28 5-Series came with those bumpers for some reason or other. We don't have a regulation for that, so it was weird, haha!! Thanks for watching!!🙏🏽😊
Yes at the time USA regulations required bumpers to withstand a 5 mph crash without damage. Car makers didn’t have time to properly integrate the bumpers into the styling on some models so they just added the big ugly battering ram bumpers. I had a BMW like that too.

I have a very old memory of one car that required those bumpers over there, and it kinda killed its front end look... the Lamborghini Countach, which made its most recent appearance in The Wolf of Wall Street, DiCaprio deserved an Oscar just for that scene where he was trying to get to it, lol!! Hi there! Well I was born in Penang, so maybe something stuck! Haha!!!😁 Ok, to answer your question, YES, it is definitely okay to go for tints that don't cost thousands. All my cars have never had any tint that cost more than rm400 for the whole car and they've all been fine, decent enough heat protection. Just please stay away from those small shops offering "whole car tint rm50"... That's gonna bubble and peel in no time. Granted there are very high quality tints out there that cost a lot more than regular tint, and I'm not saying they're not worth it, but for those on a tight budget (like me) u can get quality tint from lesser known brands for a lot less ya. Remember that the application process is also very important, hence why I go to PROCAS, I appreciate their workmanship 😊 Thanks for watching and the comment!!🙏🏽👍🏾
Ideally the 3sec rule would be great but in reality, it isn’t going to be followed by all given the prevailing kiasu attitude of the general Malaysian driver. I’ll still keep my front and rear screens (relatively, say 30%) clear for the benefit of cars following behind me. Keep up the good job, Chris.

Currently using Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 Semi-Syn, but I wanna try the new Shell high-mileage oil specially formulated for older cars with more than 100,000km on the odo. The shitty thing for the front windscreen, there are not much of heat detention effect for any tint film that complies to the regulations. Please note that the windscreen glass itself already have some dye with it so if 30% tint might actually fail you at puspakom.
Good point!! Yes, most cars already come with a slight tint, and even plain glass itself is usually not 100% VLT, so owners must take note of this. Also, there are different grades of heat resistant tint for the front windshield, some look almost clear but have very good heat reflection 👍🏾😊
Looked comfortable and nice inside out but from outside in, pretty dark... Sticked to 70% VLT for my windscreen and 50% for the rest on my new ride (collecting soon and i hope it looks good), well better be safe (and sweat abit inside) than having some tailgate dude crash into it.

Otherwise every Tom, Dick or Harry will abuse this tint ruling. The transport Ministry should introduce a law that those who got 100% tint approval will be compelled to display a road tax like sticker issued by JPJ on front windscreen with details of permit approval, car reg etc..This will ensure that it will not be abused and much more easier for authorities to enforce the ruling..It should be renewed once a year along with the road tax renewal so that those who break any conditions stipulated from the approval procedure can be monitored and permit revoked

And it's rm50 to apply for darker tint, and a hefty rm5,000 per car if it's approved. Just use a torch light connected to 12v socket n it will solve your darkness problem.
