That man is the best embassador that NASCAR has ever seen. The truest champion the sport has ever had. Tenacious behind the wheel..an unwillingness to give up..laser focused and a true gentleman off the track. The Knaus/Johnson duo is one that every aspiring champion should look up to.

How can he go to the hall of fame and still race as many races as he will race in 2024
the eligibility criteria is based on length of time since retiring from full-time competition (two years), so as long as you don't race full-time in NASCAR for two consecutive years (and competed for at least 10 years before the retirement), you can be on the ballot if the committee nominates you. Drivers have been known to race part-time into their 50s, and sometimes don't even announce plans to do so, so it can be hard to legislate that.
