I think the difficulty of making VR games is how small the niche is. Making so many games for so little amount of people can make the community divided and also run the company out of money. There's only so much people can buy with their money in this economy, as well as how much it does cost to make a VR game. Making more VR games isn't the best case for VR imo, but instead we need to have better marketing, better longevity and better accessibility. The more people able to play VR, the more money comes in so that people can make better games (rinse and repeat.) Obviously, VR is also new and exciting, but we're in a growing pain that we all have to go through when a new trend or genre of something comes out. Just like Rap music, Console Gaming, Social Media, Internet, they all had growing pains cause they're new. VR is no different. All we can do is try to make better games that enticing people to buy a new headset and game in VR. But for now, we're just now waiting to see what VR is capable of.
I mean he’s not wrong, but he’s also not right. Without the dedicated players, tabor would have lasted 4 weeks and then die. The way he should see this is the cost of players is made up for by the game still staying active.. And the only way to keep selling games is for the game to stay active. The second player numbers dwindle, it’s over. That game dies. Microtransactions in the buggiest game ever just makes people angry the bugs are being ignored while the devs focus on monetization… No one will buy microtransactions for a game that hardly works and kinda feels like shit to play… and then he starts development on not one but TWO more games at the same time, both of which look like the most desperate cash grabs ever… meanwhile Tabor’s gameplay still blows chunks….. Contractors devs learned a lesson from showdown’s failure and then they went out and made us a new game at no extra cost…. Like absolute effing legends. And the alpha is better than the game that’s been the premium extraction shooter for lkke, what, 2+ years? Combatwaffle’s disregard for community wishes is going to implode that studio. I don’t see why anyone would stay with tabor now. Makes no sense.
6:41 I genuinely worry that tabors code is full on spaghetti code and that’s why whenever they do a major update a bunch of random stuff breaks/gets glitches, even though a bunch of the things randomly breaking makes zero sense since they didn’t update anything about it. And from my experience in coding, spaghetti code is the exact thing that will lead to unrelated things randomly breaking or becoming buggy even though they weren’t changed directly.

I mean this game is in my eyes amazing and a lot of people say. The health system is too much or the PVP in the armor doesn’t feel right but to me it feels really well made. The battles are just so intense and that is what I wanted for so long. I synced 1500 hours in two ghost of Tabor. But still this game PVP is outmatch and it feels so fucking good. Sorry for cussing, but I don’t know how to explain it. It’s just all around a immersive intense atmosphere that makes every split-second decision life or death and I just love it.
Honestly the only real issue I have with the health system in exfilzone is the whole gut breaking thing where all your food drains out, because a majority of the time both players AND scavs shoot at your torso, and oftentimes hit your gut leading to it getting destroyed and you lose all your food. Like 80% of my deaths has been due the me starving after losing all food from that. Everything else is great, but it’s super unbalanced for the gut atm. I think it could be fine if it starts to drain food, but it needs to be reasonable, like maybe loses 10 energy and hydration every 30 seconds or something, idk what it is exactly but all I know is I’ll get my gut destroyed and a minute or so later all my energy and hydration is gone which ends up damaging my body so I start healing instead of eating then my gut gets messed up again since I JUST repaired it so I have to re repair it and I end up in feedback loop of constantly trying to heal / eat but barely ever surviving when that happens. Which that’s not at all a fair nor fun experience in my opinion. Everything else seems fair, but that insane feedback loop you get from being shot in the most common area to be shot in is way overkill, it’s just wayyyy too much.
It’s honestly reasonable why a lot of people are upset at ghost of tabors developers, I mean a new game in ALPHA literally surpassed a whole game that has been in development for a while but at the same time they’re development team supposedly never made a game or some thing along those lines. honestly I only got a vr because of ghost of tabor but once I actually played, it was fun but difficult Ngl it was more of a skill issue and I honestly didn’t have too much issues with bugs . At the same time though I wasn’t too immersed and the graphics weren’t too nice for a standalone meta quest 3 but once I seen exfil zone contractors they did really good for the standalone vrs and I’m hoping maybe they can optimize it more in the future. All in honesty once I seen this game I immediately downloaded it and was completely immersed as I played my first raid so that says a lot about it. Who knows though I feel like since there’s some competition Tabor will step up there game and hopefully do a little better knowing there’s another game good enough to bring better mechanics, features, Ai bots etc in ALPHA then Tabor brings in there time of development.

Playing tactical assault VR while playing paint it black 👨🍳🤌
A confliction relating to the defense of the consumer on the behalf of one’s self whilst jeopardizing both your own safety and a corporation leaders feelings is indeed a battle of such victories and profits are to spoil and rot if left disregarded and in spite of the world and your efforts no matter what emotion or luster or impulse, do not falter. For as long as you are a marker of our word, we are a marker of your dignity and support. 🫡
In other words protect both yourself and others through diplomacy, not violence. Also good shit!
damn bro. You just cracked open my mind like an egg. I applaud you good sir. I am grateful you are here 🙏
