yep. If it really does exist, but it is just bugged, it does not explain the constant spawning of enemies in some locations. A-life never did that broken or not, there's no method to the current system
@@PlasticSorcererTheOriginal it kinda did, A-Life still needs a point of respawn for groups and a cooldown, so what if you spawnkill them and cooldown is bugged? The same thing as happens in STALKER 2.
Wrong A-life is already in the game. Modders have proved it. The files are active and being used. The problem is, bugs are canceling it out. It's almost completely broken which is why it's not working.
Even if this game had A-life, which is current doesn't, this video wouldn't be an example of a bug for it either way. A-Life has to do with distance persistent events. It's a version of AI that's unique to the STALKER series. It's where NPCs can act independently throughout the game, even when they're off screen. In the original games, it wasn't uncommon to get a quest to kill someone, or to find and talk to someone on another part of the world, only to have them get killed off-screen by another STALKER or mutant. Which is to constantly feel Isolated and out of your depth.
@@amitansurkar1769 it does way more than that, the AI could loot bodies and you'd find their loot on them if you kill them, they could discover artifacts (it would be in their inventory), they could find against other stalker factions, against mutants, and they could update various situations via the PDA (it would appear directly on the left of your screen, sometimes casual conversations, sometimes they'd report enemies, fightings, artifact discoveries and many things), it could do this "offscreen" meaning when the AI isn't within render distance and is "despawned" from the physical world, Stalker 2 has none of that. and also the AI was pretty strong in combat but not unfairly, they would crouch and slowly crawl toward enemies that didn't see them and attack by surprise (and do this to the player too) and they'd use the terrain to hide behind cover or foliage, flank, work as a squad, supress you, grenade your last known position (because the AI doesn't know your exact position in older stalkers, unlike the new game, they fire towards where they think you are just like in real life), you could even desengage from combat, hide elsewhere and eventually they'd grenade your last known position, supress it and move in then try to find you again. also A-life had persistence, like if a squad kills another squad off-screen, you can eventually find their bodies and possibly loot if you stumble upon their corpses (same for mutants) although generally the corpses would be looted, so most items would go into the inventory of the one you killed them (except if mutants killed them), and random stalkers that "found" those corpses could also loot them, even in front of you. really good AI but unfortunately the new game doesn't have that because the devs lied about A-Life 2.0, which isn't A-life at all, it's just a basic spawner like any Ubisoft game.
