I chose to join MSC recently. I was a Navy Contractor for 3 years and that naval pride never leaves. I wanted to be able to provide my family with a better quality of life and work my way up in the ranks to do more and succeed.

If you're interested in MSC, check out the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Become a Strategic Sealift Officer making $250,000 per year at no cost.

Find a maritime school near u and complete the Basic Safety Training course. It will be the biggest out of pocket expense. Then work on getting your passport, twic , drug test and medical screening. All this is just for your merchant Mariner Credential . then you can apply to msc once you have all the required things I mentioned

Go to SUNY maritime. Their masters program is open to all college grads with a 3.0. It’s 3 years and you’ll graduate with an officers license

MSC is an EEO providing you're retired Navy - minority - female or homosexual! All others need not apply! If you're a homosexual you will be promoted over people who are not! That SUCKS!

Looks like a prison ship. I am not sure if I will be doing it. Have heard some bad things about it. Especially crew changes. They are now doing my security clearances. AB Unlimited

Yours security clearance will be done by the FBI in person.. .
They will already have everything on you before you go into the interview.
If you're wanted or you have a criminal record they know it... Don't try to play them!!!
I watched during my interview several people being handcuffed and taken away...
