I flew down to West Palm Beach Florida to buy and sell a Chevy Corvette at the Barrett Jackson Classic Antique and High line Car auction. It turned out to be a lot more difficult than I had imagined.

Black is not easy to match but Dr Colorchip owner showed Craig how to do it correctly. BTW that buddy who had the Lexus Was not exactly enthused about the work Craig put into that car.
Craig I have an '03 SL500. It has the AMG badge as well. It was to indicate the AMG sport package which was a $5K option The badge came on the car from the dealer that way.
Maybe 🤔 he’s confused from when AMG wasn’t owned by Mercedes ?

I went to the pre party at BJ Scottsdale once. Spent the whole time walking around the main tent looking at all the cars. Had the place to ourselves except for Tom Weeks. Only walked back for the Titos and cran. Best car show ever.
I ordered touch up from Dr Color Chip, excellent results.
That corvette is not really a sought after car it's basic 64k is not like 5k miles. That sells on your lot way easier an more money
65 and 66 didn't have 302. That started 68. Only 3 289 versions and an early 260. And 2 sixes, I believe a 200 and 170. 442 originally stood for 4 barrel, 4 speed and dual exhaust. But Olds couldn't sell them b/c people wanted autos so the designation changed to 400 cu in 4 barrel and dual exhaust.

Craig the nozzle on the dash does not show the side the tank is on. It shows how the pump should look like when you pull up. So, nozzle on the right means the tank is on the left. But when you pull up to the pump it looks like the picture on the dash.

I love that car, I have always wanted a vet. I wanted one so bad I bought a 240z a book called "jags that run" and put a Chevy 305 into it. Only got to drive it one time and I had to move and sell it. I attempted to save up and buy another and got about 9k saved up and COVID hit. The prices skyrocketed and it was out of reach again. ..someday.someday.

You don't fly from Manchester? My father lives in Florida and is flying in for a wedding in June to Manchester. The Mustang at Dr Color Chip looks like it had 5 lug wheels which as far I was taught meant it has a v8 engine.

I've been to Florida multiple times (family), both coasts and I wouldn't move there if the house and car were free. Environmentally, weather wise and weather concerns it's too hot, too humid and too violent...........

He is good at selling cars. Barret Jackson has a very limited customer base who are not looking for normal cars. It is the worst auction to tgo to unless you have a very rare in demand car.

I love watching your shows. I want to give a constructive critique. Sometimes you edit to fast and cut stuff in between I wanted to see the owner a little more in-depth of what you did wrong and what he fixed couldn’t see before and after. In the Barrett Jackson you scroll to fast and don’t give more info on some of the vehicles. Hey I am a car guy and like the details the good and bad. Sometimes you have too much in your mind. I have the same problem. I watch your videos even if they are 2 hours long. Or 10. Give others vehicle a chance.
