Being patient I'd prob get $8500 or more. Easy flip or easy cheap driver.
Back in my dealership days, Rouch, Saleen, and a few others tried to sell our owners on to their garbage. Didn't happen. They promised that they would honor the warranty, and Ford would back them up. Didn't work out like that. Claims got bounced, Ford denied assistance, and the customers were stuck in the middle.
Stage 1=no supercharger/just cosmetic. I bought one of these off ACV (identical but nice from Carolina) w/ 120k miles a couple months ago. Retailed it to a happy customer from $14,900. You were on the right track though!
Great video Craig well presented with lots of humor thrown in for good measure. Keep your content coming pal, To all those critics commenting on here just go and get a life FFS.
To my knowledge, the Roush stage one is just cosmetics. You don’t get the supercharger until stage 3. Also with that amount of body rust I’d be worried about the frame as well. A good body shop could repair/replace those rusty body panels but at some point it would not be profitable to restore it. On the other hand, trucks are still massively expensive and if the rust was repaired, one with only 160k miles might be worth something.
What happened with the cars you bought at the FL auction a few weeks ago? I thought you were going to put the update in the video but I never saw the results. Did I miss them?

I'm more interested in how sales and auctions are going. Every used car dealer on RT6 southern mass is full up on cars and trucks. It looks like the market is slowing down. My question is if you could answer is the market slowing down to a more normal market or are used car sales beginning to move into a more recessionary temperature. What are you seeing in NH?
Craig, have you not noticed that Kia and Hyundai's are having a hard time getting insured right now. I thought that I heard that 2012-2018 vehicles were made without anti-theft, which is allowing them get stolen all over the place, thus rising the cost of getting them insured, if a company will insure them at all. Why would anyone buy a vehicle that they either can not get insured, or have to pay three times the average price to get insured, only to maybe have it stolen. Not sure that you are going to get any money back on that one my guy. Good luck.
The rust over the fenders in the box aren't because of New England, it's because Ford put a chunk of foam inside those fenders that trap water and hold it there eating the steel from the inside. I bought one, pulled the foam out and it was sopping wet. We hadn't had rain in a month.
They do make replacement wheel arches for the bed but the question is. is it worth paying to have someone weld them in and fade the paint on the bed? maybe maybe not.
The market is realistic again for most vehicles I have found. But with the hike in interest rates an $80k loan is the same repayment as a 100k loan was a year or 2 ago.
There seems to be a lot of "Roush stuff" on and in it not to be a real Roush. Is it possible they swapped in a standard 5.4 because the supercharged original was blown? Is it at all possible that the original Roush wheels were either ruined by the road salt or even sold and replaced with stock F150 wheels?
Worst case it's a plow truck for someone, was worth the gamble. Curious if NH is doing the new inspection sticker process that Massachusetts started several years ago
I wouldlove to have gotten that truck. But I'm someone who can indeed fix the rust. Wish I had the money to buy it from ya. Would make for a good youtube series of me restoring it.
The Wholesale Market in the Midwest is still overvalued for some reason. I see a lot of cheaper vehicles from Ohio to Ni.C. but the transport cost is crazy.high.
Craig, I got pissed off about rust also, I have a buddy that got his 98 Silverado sprayed every year, it has 127000 kms in Canada and there is not an ounce of rust, had it on the hoist and the frame is perfect. I got my Denali done and out hybrid so hopefully no more rust
