Yeah, that was definitely my favorite book of the series. I read it last, which only slightly regret… but it is a great way to wrap up and explain the rest of the series. And I can’t wait to see your reaction to it!!!!
You've covered bits and pieces of this in past videos, but something about hearing the whole history from start to finish really cemented the lore for me, thank you! An 18-minute lore dump would be boring in an anime, but somehow it works as a lecture/storytime video. You're doing important work here, fam 👍🏾💕

I love lore, settings, and backgrounds, in many cases they aren't irrelevant, and do effect how the story progress. Yet I don't know why, not only isekai, but also other types of manga or novel, when they (I don't want to be specific because I'm not sure who exactly could or should I blame for) make anime they often skip them. While anime only fans asking why not the main characters just do this and all problems can be solved, it's ridiculous, novel readers have to explain "no, here's the context in the novel that literally says why"; or shouting since when the main characters have this ability, it's too convenient, manga readers have to tell them "well, since the beginning", they only need to add 3 seconds of the main character saying oh btw I can do this, to any episode before and it'll make the whole story so much more reasonable. Why? Why they skipped them?
I would say that these were less separate worlds but separate dimensions of the same world. It is a somewhat common narrative tool that is used to explain where the ideas of elves/dragons/monsters and such came from in our world. We are simply peeking into another dimension. Another reality where these fantastical things actually exist
This was very interesting. To bad they skipped all that info. I think it would have made for more great episodes and all lot more anime. To bad they have a fear of boring people or losing money so bad they just always cut so much out.
Never skip the lore! lol I even read the Simarilion. It is nothing but a book of lore that is really disjointed on it's own, but if you are a fan of The Hobbit and LotR it has significant meaning.
Trust me, the world building alone in MT is enough to make one fight Orsted-Sama with no back-up plan. It's inspirational and makes you wonder what the other worlds were like, the God's of those worlds, and whether the 6 cubed world is within a vacuum of space, or, just floating and rotating in another barren space. Honestly, I cant get enough of the MT world and LN's. I continue to audio listen to them right here on TH-cam, and, when I finish, I go back to volume 1 😅 (don't judge me). The anime is a joy to watch due to the animation budget and just seeing the pages of the novel brought to life, the manga has its ups and downs and long delays to the point, the anime will surpass it, but, as you said, Way too much is cut. OVAs, like 3 episodes a season would certainly help to flesh out more details and encourage anime-only fans to maybe listen to/read the novels. My only gripe with the novels are Rudeus' inner monologuing and overthinking EVERYTHING, and his simping for Roxy (please don't Orsted doughnut me in the comments) 😂. Anyway, We'll be doing Mushoku Mondays until the year 2026-7 😂

There is still some revisions from the real history there but its not that far off.
