I have had issues with Lectric XP 3.0 although, service and support has been spectacular ❤. We rode 17 miles today. Sensational. Granddaughters love the ride. I asked them, do you want me to take the car or ebike, they say ebike. @GratefulGlamper
Always appreciate your videos. We just purchased the same two Xpeaks. Have yet to take them out other than just around the block. You may have seen some of the issues with the wobbling on the step-through. Lectric just sent out an email today to those that purchased them recommending not to use the cargo racks on the step-through, they even included a $150 voucher/discount to purchase some of their other accessories such as the pannier bags. Can't wait to show my wife this video, I know she has been a bit anxious about riding on the trails and I am sure this will help to calm her nerves.
Yes, we noticed some wobble with the rack on our step through and saw the same email. It’s wasn’t as bad on ours as I guess it’s been for others? I think higher speeds may also be a factor
Would love to be able to see mrs glamper test more ebikes. This is helpful to me as i medical issues so i feel watching her get used to a bike is helpful to what difficulties i may or may not have with a particular bike. Thanks so much for this, it was very helpful
Love our e-bikes. I also love my Saris bike rack. I can’t lift my bike long enough to put up on the rack. The Saris rack is kind of like an elevator. I lower the rack, roll my bike on, strap it and then raise the rack. Also, I have the Heybike City Scape bike. It is step through. Some people are not able to lift their leg up over the seat, back wheel or over the back wheel and rack you might have.
Helmets have different ratings based on planned uses so make sure you get one for ebike riding, especially if you're getting one without an expert to advise you. The wrong helmet can cause more injuries than it prevents.
Along with a proper bike rack, users need to check their actual hitch weight capacity to insure they're within the weight range. This mostly applies to trailers. Also, many e-bike racks are not approved for use on a travel trailer due to the excessive motion on the rear end of the trailer. We went through quite a process to increase the capacity of our hitch and find an appropriate rack, but it was worth it!
Here in Canada we cannot resell (Or donate) any type of used bike helmet. You cannot ensure the condition of the materials. All our helmets here also have an expiration date (materials can break down) to maintain a high level of safety.
Yeah, it’s a crap shoot with second hand ones because if it was significantly dropped it could jeopardize its integrity. Though if it was still encased in the box & hasn’t been removed it may be still good. I have to get a new helmet this year, it has expired but it has gotten a lot of use! And it did not cost $5! (I wish!) Hopefully one of our LBS will have their amazing spring sale so I can pick up another one.
I enjoy your content and appreciate you sharing your adventures. You guys should test out the CFMoto Papio 125! We just got 2 to carry in our toy hauler to bring around when we camp. You would love them!
Using any Ebike that is not solely a class 1 on trails is not always legal. If it has throttle and goes without peddling it's considered a motor vehicle. Which also will get you in trouble if you are riding on sidewalks. Lectric should offer a class 1 only bike for trail legal use.
take the throttle off. magically it's now within the spec of class 1. the rules of what can be ridden where is different in every locality but anything classed as an ebike can be ridden anywhere a bike can unless additional local restrictions exist. i don't think manufacturers need to make special limited bikes and add cost. if you want to ride on class 1 s stuff, take off your throttle and limit your speed. if you can't be powered at all, turn off the assist and pedal or leave the battery in the car or whatever. the specs have nothing to do with how something is sold or what a label may say. it has to do with how it's actually being used at the time. but the only way someone is going to care about your throttle existing or not is if you draw that attention to yourself or have some really annoying karens. i think if you ride like those around you, nobody is going to care. but if worried, it's not hard to remove.
Those cheap ebikes use cadence sensors to deliver power to the rider. That's what makes them feel so foreign. Those type ebikes will take off even if you're slightly pedaling. Cadence sensors simply cannot deliver a natural feel for pedal assisting the rider. YOU MUST get an ebike with a TORQUE sensor to have a natural feel with pedal assistance. The new Aventon Level II model has an economy ebike with torque sensor, under $2K.
sure, it's not a torque sensor and if you've ridden with one, torque sensors are obviously superior. but mixing a pas linked current limit along with the conventional speed limit makes for a much improved cadence sensor behaviour. it's super weird lectric is the only one doing this among the bikes that use cadence sensors. the details of it are pretty simple and easy to implement.
65 pounds is a super heavy bike! My Trek hybrid complete with rack & panniers is 25lbs. & I can still lift it onto our bike rack. I struggle with hills due to my asthma (my lungs give out before my legs do) so I walk hills. At 66 I’m not ready yet for an electric bike. I love the feel of the power I create to make me move ahead. My Specialized road bike is my favourite for going fast!
Comparing weight of a non electric bike to an electric bike is like apples and oranges. Compare like bike to like bike - the weight on the lectrics is fairly light for e-bikes.
Hey Charity why don’t u try lifting the bike all by yourself n putting it on a bike rack or in your suv? N then say it’s only 67lbs 😂. Oh n go up a little hill steep enough u can’t get up all the way, forcing u to have to jump off n try getting the bike up the rest of the hill by yourself 😂….it’s only 67lbs! 🍻
You know you can actually pedal the bike, right? Using the throttle more will deplete the battery faster. Yes, get rid of all the stuff on the back of your bike. Lower the air pressure in the tires for a better ride on rougher terrain. This isn't really mountain biking, trail riding yes.
Personally i wouldn't be promoting Lectric bikes or the Lectric bike company. Poor quality bikes in design and build and horrible customer support if you buy a bike and it comes defective or damaged like mine did. Stick with a good company like Mokwheel or Aventon.

Glad it was helpful!
we just received our two X-Peak ebikes. quick tip use the watts used on the display not the bar graph for battery level. They are GREAT BIKES!
Glad you're liking them! We LOVE them so far!

Cool bike and nice review! The bike lock is a nice touch
Thanks! 👍
Yay for being brave and trying this out!

We bought trikes and love them. Same brand. Now we need a way to carry them on our prism. Any ideas?

Girl, you are my hero. We have lectric bikes and love them but I am still a chicken on them
😉

Where are those trails 🤔
Wekiwa Springs State Park
We like ours but it's so heavy.
You look like you are in Washington Oaks Florida.
We’ve never been there before, will have to check it out!

This is where the throttle comes in, easy to get up a hill with the throttle 😉
@@GratefulGlamper lol, stick to flat dirt trails or pavement. 🍻

Great tips, thanks!
Bikes are vehicles in Florida. Get off the sidewalk and on the road and drive your bikes as proper vehicles
Step thru is too dangerous to ride due to death wobble inherent in frame design. Do not recommend this bike until fixed. They need to recall them.
