In Europe they are quite popular. I am in Austria and a couple of my friends have a GP. Same with friends in Germany and Switzerland.

I love the new Aston Martin version in 38mm, that'd be the one I'd go for, the green and the differently machined dial are pretty gorgeous

I love this piece, but is it 2x as nice as an Omega Aqua Terra? That is my issue. I love this, but could I justify the purchase with an AT being half the price.
I have both and the AT is great but the GP is on another level
Very very nice watch. I think laureato can become way more popular if they make a 40mm version with 18k gold rotor as their standard line.
I’ve been waiting to get hold of a 38mm panda dial chronograph. That watch is way more beautiful than the Rolecks Daytona.

I agree, the best alternative. If the Zenith Defy Skyline had a normal rather late annoyingly stupid, pointless seconds sub-dial, then it would be fine most attractive.
I think the 10th of a second subdial's really quite charming, and a great way to highlight just how advanced the calibre is.
GP L are much better watches than any unreliable AP RO....AP cant even make 100 WR ROs with screw-down crown.....thats why they are called ROYAL JOKES😀
Just bought the baume mercier riviera 39mm with the see through sapphire dial. An even cheaper alternative to the royal oak imo

Beautiful watch that does everything you need for a 1 watch collection of haute horology. BUT everybody’s going to think you couldn’t afford a Royal Oak. If I had to be critical of the design I’d say replace the GP at 12 with a baton.
not me....When I see someone wearing an GP...I think that the guy did a better choice than buying an Garbage AP RO that arent even 100WR with no screw down crown and very unreliable that will brake all the time. GP is by far the better choice than any ROYAL JOKES

Hey, I think the Glasshutte diver offerings blow the sub away by a million fathoms.
Will it retain as much of its value against the sub in lets say 5 or 10 years. No frigging way. Again, I'm not going to sell at a profit, but I don't like pissing my money away either.

Just get your GP secondhand and enjoy a way better watch for a good deal.
Besides you most likely have to buy a bunch of Tudors first before AD let you buy a sub.
@seaweed719 was on a waiting list for the Sub. The dealer told me 2 years, but ot came in after 6 months. Didn't have to buy anything other than the sub. Problem now is it isn't as accurate as my Orient Kamasu. Go frigging figure!
