I own a GP Laureato 38mm and I absolutely love it. It is so incredibly thin and light, makes it fantastic to wear. Even watches that are smaller on paper, such as my OP 36mm, seem way bulkier and noticeable heavier all of a sudden. My absolute favorite watch, especially for smsller wrist sizes…
Great perspectives as always. I’m probably in the minority but the Royal Oak and these are dress watches. The only ‘sport’ I could see these aligned with would be polo. And even that’s a stretch - but most of the men in the crowd watch polo are wearing their Daytonas, Yatchmasters or Subs; switch to their Royal Oak for the after party…
I love both of these and the GP is on the short list but for comfort, I'd not trade my blue dial Octo Finissimo S for either. I hope everyone's Killing it.
Parmiagiani Tonda, Czapek Antarctique, Urban Jurgenson One, A Lange&Sohnne Odeysseus, are also brands that are designed as sport watches. These certainly are comparable the AP
Hi John great video! I have always loved the Older Iwc Ingeniuer. But They were a bit thick for my taste. Then the last couple of iterations had the Sellita movement. If IWC could bring back the older style with an in-house Movement but thinner say less than 12 mm,and I don’t that’s crazy thin for a 3 hander with a date, I would Buy one. Other than that I think I’ll wait on an AP. But I do really enjoy you content. Keep it coming 👍
Two well made integrated bracelet watches that are a few grand less: Zenith Defy Classic and Bulgari Octo Roma. If you want something integrated that’s a bit funky and thick, and don’t mind a modified 7750, the IWC Aquatimer Split-Minute is very cool and it’s Titanium. They can be hard to find as they stopped making them in 2008 I think but a split minute complication is unusual and kinda groovy🕺🏻
Great video! Alpine Eagle has a beautiful dial, but I have to say I don’t like the design of its bracelet and the Roman numeral indices. GP laureato and Bulgari Octo Finissimo would be my choice.

GP is great. Love the 38 mm panda chrono.
I tried on the Alpine Eagle...absolutely amazing...!
I have the exact two watches with the same dials color and I am very satisfied with those watches. Thank you for the beautiful video
I agree. Both good alternatives, although my favorite is the Laureato, but the Eagle’s dial is intriguing

No doubt: The best Alternative is the PRX
Fun watch!
Quartz
PRX is better described as a Rolex Oyster Quartz alternative.
@@elefantrising 80 hour power reserve automatic.
🤮
Both beautiful. Will consider both. That’s my mind. My wallet il telling me we will likely go for a Maurice Lacroix 😂

This GP 42mm silver dial is so nice!
Great video - as always!
Not as big of a fan of the integrated bracelets. However, I may change my tastes on a few years. Be safe!

Chopard L.U.C made the movement 1.96 in surprise 1996. Its at level with AP and PP.
Are they different in size? The Alpine looks tiny.
You missed a big one with the New Zenith Defy Skyline.
Good watches, what about the Baume & Mercier Riviera?
No VC Overseas?

Tissot PRX 80 automatic is the truth
chopard is a nice looking watch .. not a fan of gerard p…
Czapek Antarctique
Whenever I watch your video I like to set the playback speed to 1.25X
Why get alternatives? Just a waste of money. Go buy what you want. You will yearn for what u truly want no matter what.
So sorry, lemme just stroll into my neighborhood AP AD and tell them I want a Jumbo. How silly of us to not think of that!
