The power of TH-cam; this video is equivalent to me sitting in my
car and learning how to use autosteer/auto pilot 👍🏾
Thank for video!
Thank you for this video…very helpful
Thanks for feedback my friend 🙏
very helpful video, thanks for posting
Great explanatory video! I was searching for some time this kind of comparison :) Multumesc! :)
Merci si eu Dan 🙌👍🙏
Thanks! I was able to compare highway and local street performance. Great topic and explanation.
Glad it was helpful! 👍🙏
question if you have a speed bump does the car also slow his speed ?,for driving over it and off .what whit road working ? some times the lane goes from 2 lane to 1 lane ?
Good video! I have a model 3 with EAP and I've been wanting to do a similar video but I am quite afraid of the Swiss Police.
Considering my luck they'd catch me without hands on the wheel or something from the video and revoke my license. They've done similar things in the past.
There are instances where the autopilot acts weird and I'd love to show everyone about it. You've done an interesting job already but there's more to show on the highway and on some roads.
Thanks for feedback 👍🙏
What kind of weird things?
@@gmoneii1117 for example if I'm on the passing lane and signal to go back to the lane on the right next to an exist lane the car jerks and tries to take the exit lane instead of staying on the correct lane. It happens very often and it's quite scary/dangerous.
Great video! 👏👏👏 One question: if you are arriving to a red traffic light and the Tesla stops itself after another vehicle, how long can the other car be stopped so that the Tesla starts again by itself? In my VW Golf, it is 3 seconds, and if it is longer, I have to press the "Resume" button on the steering wheel or press the accelerator. I hope that with autopilot theres in no limit, as it would be very relaxing for traffic jams 😁😁Thanks! 👍
Thanks for the excellent video!
Thanks Nick 🙏🤗👍
I just love the enaance or something like that cause on isreal there is a lot of change like from highway to highway so it will be very very helpful and the summon and auto park cool
looks fine. i don’t really want it to do round abouts. Honestly, all i want is it to be as good as my current Subaru Outback iSight adaptive cruise control. i can pretty much drive that thing with my thumb. Including stopping in traffic and going again with a simple up push on the switch. it does the same hands on wheel with lane assist, but that’s fine to me. i want to drive the car. Anyone here have a Tesla and used to have an Outback?
I went to Paris last week with our model3. I had several ghost breaking on the highway and one of them was pretty dangerous… i’m not so confident with the autopilot. And one more thing the tesla vision on our new model3 is a shame, it’s a no use. For a 2023 car it is simply not acceptable.
Yes
Yup it is shit.
Europe still has very old AP software.
@pourmichiganreviews I pay $ 15,000 for
FSD.I pick up new car today. But my FSD button Can't turn on. ( M Do you know how i can do? Thank you so much
This is exactly I was looking to know - what do you get without EAP or FSD. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful 👍Thanks for feedback 🙏
I wished you showed us navigate on autopilot. I does lane changing for you (with confirmation) and also it takes exits. I want to see that in Europe. Please make a video about it, thanks.
Thanks for feedback 👍🙏I will do it as soon as i can
Nice video. I have 2 questions;
Can you not just ask the software to go to the speed limit (maybe double tap of a button?), rather than scrolling to 80? Also, for it to recognise when the speed limit changes and it automatically goes to 100? Rather than scrolling again.
The other question is, during autopilot, when you have your hands on the wheel does it continue steering for you? Or does it know your hands are there and will expect you to steer?
Yes to all question 😁 it can do that
You can set autopilot to automatically continue the current speed that you are at when you select it during your drive, or you can have it to adjust to the current speed limit no matter your current speed. Both of those are plus or minus some percentage or absolute tolerance that you predefined. So you could set it to go the speed limit +10% when you go to autopilot. Also, technically you are supposed to always have your hands on the wheel even in autopilot, so it will continue to steer itself, whether your hands are on the wheel or not. You can take over driving but pressing the brake, moving the gear stalk up, or just controlling the wheel.
do you have issues with Phantom Braking?
Sometimes yes 👍
@@SDADanCars so how do you handle the car slamming on the brakes when other cars are behind you? Can't that cause an accident??
Skoda Enyaq is way better in "auto steering". I was very disappointed when I tested Model y Long range.
Anyway I have ordered a SR and hoping it will be better in the long run.
Skoda/VAG autosteer system recognizes roundabouts or curves and slows down the car by itself on them. I would say that "pilot assist" at my '17 Volvo is much better than that in Tesla and I totally disagree with @SDADanCars, that Tesla has best autosteer. When I test drove Tesla for few hours, these constant "beeps, beeps" from autopilot drove me crazy!
I think that in the city it's not good in yours cause the camera he sees less
Est-ce que les freinages fantômes arrivent seulement en autopilot ou également si on utilise que le régulateur adaptatif ?
Both Anthony 👍
Is it just me, or does it seem like it requires more thought to drive with autopilot, then it does to drive without it?
I feel the same. I think because of the lack of trust in the auto pilot. Also the occasional phantom braking that I've experienced does not help with this. Too scared to turn it on if there is a person driving behind me.
No, it doesn't require a lot of time. He's not used to using the autopilot is the only reason
@@hwillia204 I think that you are replying to the wrong comment, or read the comment wrong. Nobody is talking about time.
I order a Module
I have it on my mercedes also . It accelerates halfway the round about and thats is even with a route on . And the brakes are sometimes to much . At low speeds an traffic stop and go its allmost perfect
Yes right 👍
Not true, Tesla handles curve and turn without any problems
Enhanced auto pilot really created problem in stop and go traffic on highways. It cant change lane on time. Otherwise on highway with normal traffic its breeze. Event with Mad Max mode, its really a pain to use Enhanced autopilot in highway with traffic.
Good to know. I live in a large metro with high volume traffic 18 hrs a day.
I just got my new 2023 model Y LR a couple weeks ago and just went with the standard Auto Pilot. Yes, we have to keep our hands on the steering wheel periodically to let the Tesla know we are alert. I find the Auto Pilot is not guaranteed to slow down on corners of the highways, so be ready to slow down manually.
I probably will never get EAP or FSD because of cost and my driving needs do not require the additional features. I can use that money for other more useful things.
So auto pilot is essentially just adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist 😂 I only use that when on long boring highways in city easier to drive yourself 😂
It’s much better than lane assist. It actually completely steers for you. Want more than that Tesla wants you to pay for the software upgrade.
It is pretty good basically 👍
Honestly, such a relief to find a video about tesla car that isn't hosted by some attention seeking, hysterical shouting American. No offence to Americans BTW, fne people - just talking about the TH-camrs
😁 Thanks for feedback 🙏
Ummm... 🥴
I think in terms of safety, tesla is the best option
Yes 👍
Fact:
My new “2023 Tesla X Plaid” FSD can do more than that now, period.
Have a good day to y’all!
Thanks for feedback 👍🙏
Yeah European laws don't allow for FSD to be anywhere close to the level of autonomy that FSD provides in the US... There are however rumors that claim that the EU is making progress in this regard and could allow the full version of FSD to be used by 2024 or 2025
Tesla don't like people have hands off the steering wheel
Yes 👍
True
Yes, because the steering wheel can fall :(
If we could rebuild cities and make them so for automatic driving its possible to go fully automatic
So why just simply taking the bus ? …
Yes 😁
Hehe
I used auto-steering on Toyota Corolla 2020 before Tesla. It was much more useful.
- It is engaging automatically after you change lines
- It is not disengaging when you steer
- It automatically engages when you enable cruise control
- It doesn't steer with such force to push you into the middle of the line when you turn it on
- It doesn't ask you to move the wheel, when you hold the wheel, it only asks when you really do not hold it
- no phantom breaking in Toyota at all
Quite a disappointment for me :(
Thanks for feedback 👍
Enhanced auto pilot is not designed for city driving.
Only FSD is equipped to do city driving. You are attempting to make enhanced auto pilot to perform like FSD, which it is not designed to do.
Exactly. He's really missing out not having FSD.
Thanks for feedback Lance 👍
Correct. I use AP with my model Y. I don't have EAP or FSD - too expensive for what they are worth and do. AP is nice, but it is not 100% trust worthy. EAP usually used on freeways for lane selections.
People in reviews try to show that basic Auto Pilot will work on any roads(city/country) to a certain extent, but roads have to be properly marked (lane boundaries). Once selected, the vehicle with stay in that selected lane and follow the road curves, etc. But, it will not obey stop signs/signals, I have to take over if there is a red light. AP will slow down and also stop if there is a vehicle in front of the Tesla and I can set the distance I want to keep when following the vehicles. I still have to be alert to take over if the AP gets confused or starts to wonder from the selected lane it is on.
Most people use AP on freeways or major highways to take the stress off of driving which is nice and will auto follow curves of any highway. Tesla's also have the normal Cruise Control which Ican set the speed I want to go, but still have to manually drive the vehicle with hands on the wheel.
Hello there, 🍍I think it’s
good to recommend that to
elderly. It could be safer, instead
they’re the one to drive.🚠
Right 👍👍
