When I was a kid, be it a movie or a documentary based on China, the image of those green rolling hills is how I remember China to be. It's obviously more modern in many places and these are specific regions, but it brought back those memories of how China was perceived.
I live in America and I was clueless about my DNA because China is very foreign to me. I spent some times to study the geography of southern China and now I remember that my DNA is ~80% from GuangXi and ~20% from Yunnan........ So crazy this is GuangXi!!!
Nico isn’t it great to have knowledge and experience about so many different things and to feel those emotions gosh you are already a billionaire for me
This city is one of my favorite next to Beijing! Loved the scenic spot while having a lunch on that boat and also the the breathtaking shots in Yangshuo, loved it! 🥰💕 Thanks again for this video. Happy Monday, Jack and Nico! 😊
I couldn’t agree more! I had wanted to go to Yangshuo for such a long time and when I finally went last week I was a little bit disappointed. The scenery was stunning, but I guess I imagined it to be more like Xingping with the old buildings and right by the river. The traffic around Yangshuo was also a bit of a damper but the smaller villages and the landscape were definitely worth it. I would love to have visited before it came a tourist trap. Thanks for sharing, it makes me feel much more comfortable with my emotions about it hahah. I still loved it though and would still visit again 😂❤
One of my memorable Bicycle Ride was in Yangshuo. No Maps just ..... Head into the villages along the main path/track . And just EXPLORE what is there. Dead end Paths but ask the people there and they tell you the way. Ancient foot paths with bath/wash platforms along the river , Foot paths that bring you to the RIVER side to watch tourists on their bamboo rafts , tracks that take you to fields of padi / rice , etc. Wonderful experience on a bicycle. 🥰😍😊
Thanks for another great video, Guangxi is great, I’m looking forward to the Nanning video, it’s a lovely city, I will be going back to Nanning in a couple of months.
I found your channel a year and a half ago when I was dreading going back to china and your videos kept me company. today I got my visa, and ill be flying back to china next month. as always amazing content. IDK if u remember me but we talked about posting reels on Instagram to get more reach for your channel. but I'm really happy to see you grow. love you guys 😍
I love Guangxi, the people are warm and kind, and the scenery is stunning. Though I do have to admit that the area around Guilin and Yangshuo has been overexploited by the tourist industry. I recommend the neighboring province of Guizhou for more authentic and unexplored sceneries.
Spring is the rainiest season, and summer is too hot in Guilin. Autumn is the best season to visit Guilin when guihua(Osmanthus flowers) bloom. By the way I think this is the building (1:36)I lived in for my whole childhood.
I refer to West Street (Xijie Pedestrian Street) as Gatlinburg on Steroids. We stayed at Yun Xian Ge Hotel at the Longji Rice Terraces atop a mountain while taking the tram to get there. I recommend a hotel, Guilin Inshare No.9 Garden Villa. No.9 Linjiang Road, Qixing District, Guilin, Guangxi, a small but perfect place to stay. We also visited a winery in a cave in Guilin. There is plenty more to explore but who knows where we will travel next time visiting China. I usually stay in Guangdong Province.
Yangshuo used to called, the backpackers (foreigner) village, and the most favorite thing to do was to ride a bicycle to Yueliang Shan (moon hill) and climb up to the big round hole of the hill.
You got to visit Located 53 km from Daxin County, 210 km from Nanning, capital city of Guangxi, Mingshi Scenic Area (明仕田园风景区) is crowned as the “Small Guilin”
Guangxi is one of the places I want to go bike touring. I currently live in Yunnan, so gettign there will be easy (after pandemic prevention calms down).
I am from Pakistan 🇵🇰 and i have got admission in Guilin Medical University 😀 i am still here in Pakistan 🇵🇰 but i will go there very soon 😀 😊 ...... your video just excited me to join my University 🔥😍
And another interesting anecdote, from what I heard Detian or "Dok Hin" in Zhuang means "Fallen Stone", "Dok" means to fall or fallen, whereas "Hin" means stone, so the native Zhuang name of this waterfall is Fallen Stone Waterfall.
you do look , like those couple who are homeless in the west isn't...,.... don't get angry if I am wrong....... but I have got 97.9 percent about your performance in CHINA as well as in your previous life....... once again, I may wrong or right I don't know, if you don't confirm........ please........?

In south east asia, tour agencies always put Guangxi Guilin as one of tourist destinations.

I'm planning a road trip based on ur channel
I have heard many great things about it!
Loads of Chinese people would be so envious of your travels around China that they would probably never have the opportunity to visit.

Guangxi's area and population are just about the same as the UK, you can pretend to be home 😄
Ha ha ha, Guangxi is 240 thousand square kilometers
