Occasionally, you can find N3 in the Engine parameters, it’s a special %rpm indicator exclusive to RR engines. EPR, The Engine Pressure Ratio, can be found in classic planes fitted with PW and RR engines. It’s replaced by TPR for Trent 1000 in the 787.
MrClockTower N3 In RR engines indicated the high pressure rotor/compressor speed. Since RR engines were triple spool as compared to twin spool engines by GE and PW.

My dad is a retired Training Captain! He flew for 45 years as a airline pilot, cargo pilot, etc etc. He retired 8 years ago but still gets phone calls from airlines offering him to come try out the new airplane simulations. He still studies more and more every day even though that part of his life has stopped.

Here's a funny thing about abbreviations in the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) the highest rank (exempt from air marshal of the air force) is Air Chief Marshal or ACM while the one below it, Air Marshal is AIRMSHL, quite alot more letters when removing one word.

(“Field Elevation”) - is a pressure setting you dial into your altimeter to produce the height above the runway. It reads zero when you are on the runway and gives your height above it when you are airborne. This appears to be consistent between ICAO and U.S. FAA reference material.

4:49 I am from Russia and I don’t know what captain Joe means using word “spool”, but I know that N1 is rotation speed of the *fan* and N2 is rotation speed of the HP rotor. I think it is important.
spool just means when the engines start to rotate more quickly
