I was there and hung with Joe a ton and talked about his rig. He legit just walked in with his single music man bass on his back with a TU3 tuner in the gig bag and plugged into Cory’s markbass little tube. He isn’t a gear guy at all and just uses what works with his bass :)
These Musicians are at the same level of the legends that made rock-pop-disco-funk-soul immortal and amazing music...what they need are great bands with great MELODIES and great SONGS
I'm with Corey on the subject of string changing. I really don't like the sound of string sqeaks, so I play a set until it feels wrong. I let the sound, intonation, or tuning stability tell me when to change. I've gotten into the habit of wiping my guitars down often and it works great for me.
I change my strings right before every show, give em 10 minutes of stretching, and hit the stage. String noise? I heavy gate. I normally don’t hear any squeaking
I bought a Behringer 7 band EQ pedal. I love it. It is a Boss clone and only cost $25 new. I love it so much I bought the Behringer compressor-sustainer. Same price. These two pedals combined with my Korg ToneWorks pedalboard and my Sire Larry Carlton S3 strat I am thrilled with my rig.
I tried that EQ and hated it! It was noisy as hell. I broke down and got the Boss EQ 200. It has 128 presets with MIDI, 4 without MIDI, true bypass and a lot more. I got the Keely mini compressor around the same time. It also has true bypass.
I saw Cory live a month ago, sound was over compressed all the time, didn't liked his sound at all... Mark Lettieri sounded amazing all the time! Killer show btw I highly recommend it
It would seem that most modeler users just stick to a couple of patches? Just saw a rundown with Miles Kennedy, he has the Fender Tone Master Pro and just uses a few effects, and Corey a few presets too...

Why the hell I can hear the guitar only if I hard pan left or right? Out of phase? 180° something? I dunno, I'm an older dude who like tube amps withe the least amount of knobs...
Does Cory change his own strings in the middle of a live show? And if you have multiple redundant strats then you don’t need to wooty much about breaking a string in the middle of a gig.

Anybody else have an imaginary Friend Guitar Player named Cory?! lolin' Happy Holidays! (This would have been perfect for April Fools Day, what a riot!)

what a missed opportunity to not do Joe's insanely complex and versatile rig that is mythically surrounded in mystery.
Obviously that would require at least a 2hr video into itself

Man, the QC sounds so transparent, like it's not even there
I love how you can sometimes catch the end of a note when it switches to the vocal mic and otherwise it’s pure silence lmao
Mark lettieri is just an amazing player. Dude shines through different genre too. One of my fav modern players.
I could listen to Mark all day. He's a lot of fun.
Wong’s tone is a breath of fresh air for me.
pretty wild that Cory and Jason Isbell use the exact same strings and Jason insists on changing his 90 times as often!

Pedal Demo The Band
Strat, compressor, drive, volume/wah, DSP archetype. Cory's gear is now fully self actualized.
...maybe some folks can hear Cory's DI signal, but this particular phone I'm on rn is not picking up that channel in the stereo mix/ aka silence
SAME
its cuz the polarity is inversed between L & R, some kind of problem in recording and/or post production
I don't think the DI out is working
Johns rig rundowns are the best!

I like that the video is sponsored by d'addario but Cory is endorsing ernie ball.
I never change my strings 🎉
@@stevenwebb3545 premier guitar is. But the artists they interview don't have to be.
I change my strings right before every show, give em 10 minutes of stretching, and hit the stage.

My left ear enjoyed this rig rundown.
You have to use your imagination to hear the QC...
@premierguitar For whatever reason you've got a phase issue with Cory's QC, if you mono the audio the guitar disappears.
Thanks for letting me know my phones still in mono from that time I had a broken headphone years ago. Oops

I was there!
That qc is having a phase issue somewhere.
Love a rig rundown! If you could flip phase on CW's Neural DI signal, it'd help a lot. Thanks!
Is the audio stile wrong or have they fixed it? What a humble bragging Wong threw at Mark about Platini baritone only in the most campus one :-O
Praise be!! 🙌🙌🙌
Joe Dart better watch out turkey necking like that right before thanksgiving

What about the amps in the background?
Did we miss the Dumble sitting there?
I was there and found out from Ariel Posen that It’s a borrowed clone
Super dupa cool guy....i love him
Why the hell I can hear the guitar only if I hard pan left or right? Out of phase? 180° something? I dunno, I'm an older dude who like tube amps withe the least amount of knobs...
It's weird seeing the flyers moves while playing their songs
The Soul Press is like half the price of his signature version - is there really that much in it?
Nope

no audio from Cory's rig
If you listen in stereo it is. I think it´s a phase issue
Joe Dart rig please!

10:13 That’s Naima. I think.
Is that a real Dumble? Is it being used?
I was there and found out from Ariel Posen that It’s a borrowed clone. Cory is currently just using it on tour for his stage sound
@ thanks for clarifying that! 🙏🏼
YES! SO stoked for this one! No Joe?!?!?! Getting it's own episode?? WHERE'S THE JOE DART RUNDOWN!?

More people know Corey’s rig than know his music lol
Pero si ya está a la venta ese pedal Hotone 😆
I was there when this was filmed. This was in August and it hadn’t been released yet

Cory Wong is the most overrated mainstream guitarist I've seen in decades. His marketing is outstanding though.
Ah man , no Joe ?
❤❤❤❤❤
It doesn’t chug
I was there :))))) got to meet everybody including the PG crew. All of them were the coolest guys
Bruh, the sound issues...
Cory sounds silent!
Diaddario strings are overrated. String joy is better all day
I mean, sure, if you like overpaying to be part of a snake oil hype machine, then go with StringJoy
@JordonBeal thanks for letting me know you're cheap and don't know what you're talking about
Lmao nah fam. Nyxl all day. Stringjoys are only good for custom sets. Other than that. They're mid
I don‘t like TH-cam Strings
It's all a matter of preference. No one cares what you, yourself, thinks is best
