    I just got my 2019 Ram 1500 two months ago and I love it. The ride quality is amazing and the power on the V6 Pentastar is really good .

    2014 Ram V6 QC owner here. My truck has 263k miles and so far so good. Original 8 spd transmission, the engine was replaced by the previous owner with 240K miles. I purchased it for $8K with 248K and it still feels great. No broken interior bits, good weatherstripping, no squeaky sounds from tires, brakes nor suspension. These are really well built and great value for the money.

    Have had my 2015 Ram for about four years got it back in 2017. It has the Pentastar V6 and for someone only having the Hemi in previous trucks I haven’t been disappointed. Great on gas and plenty of power for me, the only thing I added was a K&N cold air in take.

      @@abdullahal-shimri3091 I did notice a change but in a good way, yes. It has more of a rumble reminiscent of maybe a V8 engine and plus the aesthetics when you lift the hood is a bonus.

    Thank you for this interview I been shopping trucks and I have saw and heard horror stories from Ford f150 and Chevy Silverados. This is a nice truck this is what I need I been watching videos like a mad man and I have test drove 2014 Toyota tundra 2014 Silverado 2011 Dodge ram. I love the Toyota but it guzzles gas like a thirsty fat man In The sun. The Chevy was really smooth and didn't burn a lot of gas and then the doge felt kinda fat it was a hemi v8 but it burns gas also. But a former coworker just bought a 2018 v6 Dodge ram and she loves it so I had my eye on one for a while I'm going to go test drive one but I really do appreciate your video brother God bless you

    I recently purchased a 2014 Ram Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4 V6 with 68k miles and I cannot be happier. With the prices of trucks now days new and used I looked and looked, and it just seemed everyone wanted $24k for a 2012 Silverado four door 4x4 with 160k miles. I found this Ram private seller for thousands less than anything comparable at $22k. Up to this Ram my daily driver was a 2001 Silverado Ext Cab z71 4x4 5.3L with 338k miles. It has been a wonderful truck! Always reliable and just solid. I was hesitant about the Ram never owned anything dodge, Chrysler etc.. I wanted 4 door and 4x4. Also a through console not a flip down 60/40 bench. This Ram 1500 met all that! Very happy, plenty of power, rides awesome and MPG’s are awesome. I was averaging 14 in my Silverado. So far and I do a lot of Highway / commuting for work but I am averaging 21.3 MPG’s and about to go 500+ on a tank. My Silverado I maybe average 290-320 per tank. For a full size four door 4x4 to be getting anything 20+ MPG’s what more could you ask for? I know for years dodge / Ram had their issues and some say quality is poor. I think since Ram broke off to just focus on their truck line they have really focused and improved quality. I still love a Chevy and most all my family has Silverado’s and Tahoe’s, but all of them like this Ram’s features and style. It’s awesome very happy with my choice!

    Thanks for the honest review and the fuel economy. I have a 2019, new body style and that’s what I’m getting. Best I’ve done was a little over 24 but I was babying it and barely hit 65. Had a hemi for 10 years, Cummins for 2 but my towing needs changed so I bought this for the economy and only needing regular gas vs plus or diesel.

    I HAVE A 2014 RAM 1500 RAM BIG HORN WITH THE 3.6 V6 AND MINE IS A 4X4 QUAD CAB AND WITH 42000 MILES ON IT I AM STILL AVERAGING 21.5 TO 22.5 MPG LOCALLY UNDER 50 MPH AND I GET 22.5 TO 23.5 MPG AVERAGE ON THE HIGHWAY SO I WAS KIND OF SURPRISED TO SEE THAT YOUR MPG IS QUITE A BIT LOWER THAN MINE WITH ONLY A 4X2 AND I DO HAVE A HEAVY FOOT BUT I USE THE CRUISE CONTROL WHENEVER IT IS POSSIBLE WHICH MAY MAKE THE DIFFERENCE . IN THE WINTER HERE UP NORTH I HAVE HAD IT AS LOW AS 18 MPG WITH THE 4X4 ENGAGED SO I AM EVEN HAPPIER WITH MY TRUCK NOW THAN I WAS BEFORE I READ YOUR REVUE AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY RAM . IT HAS BEEN THE FINEST TRUCK I HAVE EVER OWNED IN MY LIFE AND I AM NOW RETIRED SO I DO NOT DRIVE ANYWHERE NEAR THE MILES I DID IN THE PAST . MY PREVIOUS TRUCK WAS ALSO A RAM AND IT HAD A BIT TOO MUCH RUST ON IT TO KEEP IT AFTER 15 YEARS AND 298668 MILES SO I DROVE IT TO THE SALVAGE YARD . I WAS SAD TO LEAVE THAT OLD TRUCK SINCE IT HAD BEEN EXTREMELY RELIABLE AND NEVER FAILED ME IN 15 YEARS OF EVERY DAY DRIVING SO WHEN IT CAME TIME FOR ANOTHER TRUCK IT WAS A NO BRAINER TO GET ANOTHER RAM AND I EXPECT TO KEEP THIS ONE TILL I AM DEAD UNLESS I WIN THE LOTTERY . I AM GLAD YOU ALSO HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR RAM AND I HOPE IT IS WITH YOU FOR MANY RELIABLE YEARS TO COME

    Thank you for this. I've been trying to decide between V6 and V8, and really, it seems to come down to things I just don't care that much about - slightly faster 0-60, and theoretical more towing capacity. I say theoretical, because towing capacity usually comes down to payload, and the V6 actually has higher payload capacity, since it has less engine weight, and most people get the larger gas tank for the V8 as well, reducing payload even more.

The only issue I've had is the seal around the upper break light failed, lettting water into the passenger area. $2 weather stripping from Home Depot fixed it.

    I had 113,000 miles on my 2013 ram 1500 single cab before i traded it in 2018. It was driven by 3 different people. The main issue I had on mine was the fuel rail pressure sensor failed on it @85,000 miles. But the engine did not breakdown or die and still ran strong. I kind of miss it honestly.
    On the transmission part, the thermal management failed but was replaced under warranty.
    Just between work and home I got about 20-22 miles per gallon on average, but if i were to do long distance driving I got about as high as 27 miles per gallon for my average.

    I'm at 91k in my 2015. This engine with the 8 speed transmission is rams best powertrain option in terms of reliability imo except for the Cummins. I've had zero issues with this truck. The reason I chose it over the hemi was due to the Hemi tick which usually occurs around 80-90k miles on them.

    • @vancejensen6036
      @vancejensen6036 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have an identical setup. That 8speed trans is bulletproof. That trans is used in a lot of high end cars as well. One downfall Chrysler always had was transmissions, and I'm glad they finally outsourced to someone more reliable. The 3.6 is a fantastic engine too. Jeep owners beat the dog snot out of them, and they're very trusty. Sure they've got recalls, but follow up on them, and they're great. I had the notorious tick issue resolved, and a steering rack go out. My local dealer fixed them, and at zero issues other than that. Currently at 95k miles

    Hey everyone, so I'm in the market for a new ram, 2019 1500, all my trucks thus far have had the 5.7, never any issues, iv been very reluctant to purchase a ram with the v6 my concern is longevity, right now I have 331773 on my current 5.7 ..and still running strong, I only do minor towing(jetski) so nothing to heavy, it seems everyone is happy with there v6, how's the general maintenance been? Any major major issues? I tend to keep my truck for a long time, I'm just not sold on the reliability of the v6, and help and info would be great appreciated...☺️

      One of the reasons I chose the V6 was because of reliability. I chose it over the hemi because of exhaust manifold issues with the hemi. I've read plenty of good threads of people putting over 200k miles on the V6 with no issues.

    • @killerb5726

      I had an 06 hemi and the only issues I had was the manifold issue and the mds resonator rusted out. Of course it was a jersey truck so it saw a lot of salt. I have the v6 now in a 2019 model.

    • @robkenna2795
      @robkenna2795 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      not sure what your temps are, do you have a digital display or are you going by the gauge, but mine 2018 runs up to about 230 in traffic before fan comes on, saw a close to 240 spike once during light towing in town, according to what I read these are designed to run hot, so as long as it doesn't stay above 245 for a long time you should be ok, the older ones the gauges would go up to about 3/4 at 245 or so, they can recalibrate the gauge and it won't go much above half until it gets really hot
