1: no one is forcing you to stay in that job. if it is truly that shite and you feel you need it to sustain the family or whatnot, then just get on with it or leave to an equal paying job. 2. you can do what the guru is doing also if you bothered your hole to take a risk with content creation. while there is certainly a degree of algorithmic luck with being promoted on yt, it is largely the most dedicated and work-ethic creators that succeed. Your comment is clearly one of spite and resentment i can tell.quite typical of an irish person alright to resent another excelling at something.spastic!
I watched all of your NYC episodes, great stuff. But as a New Yorker and a die hard Guinness fan, I can’t believe that Paddy Reilly’s Music Bar “The World’s First and Only All Draught Guinness Bar” was overlooked. Quite literally the best pint of Guinness you can possibly find in New York, and I’ve been to every single bar that you featured. Jimmy Fallon filmed a segment with Conor Mcgregor in that bar for his TV show.
Any other good places that are near Financial District? Will try Paddy’s if we can otherwise have to find something here before we fly out. Tried Rabbit last night and was pretty good.
Great video Darragh. The pints looked well, great to see the quality has gone well up. Great story about the immigration pre clearance, had a few grillings in my time going to the states. Looking forward to part 2
Been saying this for awhile. Need to standardize the grading system. Rate by categories 1-10. Shtick, head, cream, glass, etc. then take the average of the categories. It will actually make sense rather then an arbitrary number. Then you can have a list of pubs visited and where they rank. Maybe even show the rating in the screen with other comparable pubs near that location. Just one man’s opinion. Had 2 pints last night
Had to wait to have a Guinness in hand to watch these. Loving the enthusiasm. You obviously loved New York as this the best firm I have ever seen you in!
The cleaner/drier the glass is - the better the shtick. It's the detergent compounds that build up over time inside the glass that prevent the foam from sticking. These compounds get stripped periodically with a special cleaner called Resolve.
Outstanding Daragh , tbf Guinness doesn’t travel well normally! When I lived in Christchurch New Zealand, I found a little pub outside of town, luckily it had a Guinness worth drinking! NYC is something special for sure, enjoy 👌👌
Good stuff! Been looking forward to seeing you heading to NYC. Would be interesting to see what you think of Brooklyn and Queens. Got some real Irish folks over in those boroughs
I went to a class Irish bar in Astoria but I could not for the life of me remember the name of it to recommend it to you. Maybe someone in the comments can help me. I went in 2017 and it was a new pub then so about 5 years old. Black exterior and black, modern decor inside. Had GAA live on so proper Irish pub.
Went to New York for the mcgregor Alvarez fight in 2016 and you’re right, it’s not for the faint of heart but I loved the New Yorkers attitude of no bullshit tbh. If you get a chance check out the dead rabbit, very famous and accoladed pub and owned by 2 boys from belfast!
A pint is the US is less than a pint in the UK and Ireland (16 oz vs 20 oz), so you likely will be encountering glassware that is different from what you're accustomed to the whole time.
America has a different legal system when it comes to cleaning glasses which means they have to use a certain cleaning product and method. Some bars do then clean them in the usual method.
big man....idea for you..ever think of scores at the end (make sure you watch to the end wink wink) then do a recap with scores and a table...all about the monetization on youtube lad
NYC is by far da best city I’ve been too.Been a handful of times over da last 10 years Connolly’s is a great spot think ya man who owns it is a Mayo man.Had a good few pints of Guinness in NY and those pints looked ok.Expensive place though 😬
went to america to study for a year and have been numerous times flying out of Dublin, The customs officers take no shit First time i went through the officer was really nice and friendly; 2nd time it was as if i was going to be shot there and then; Love the content man, bought the guru hat last week and its some job
From standing outside pubs doing reviews in the pissing rain to New York City baby. Fair play kid 👏
"What's the purpose of your visit?"
"I'm here to judge your Guinness."
Been watching since the early days and it's safe to say now you have made it ,fair play
Three days is tight, but you'll have missed a load of real pubs and solid pints if you skip Woodside/Sunnyside in Queens.
Surprised he didn’t go to the dead rabbit
@@aj8039 He did in part two and said it's his favorite pub of those he visitied.
@@smif86 apparently I’m blind I need to catch up on that one
Where in woodside?
@@fiachraslattery8562 Donovan’s Pub of Woodside is a good start.
Shout out to all heading to a crap job today after watching a lad tipping around New York drinking pints for a living.

......& calling us all "office wankers" 😂😂😂
Your energy on this video was hilarious
He was feeling the Guinness 😂
Great to see the G Guro in New York. Video content is increasing so much, its a brilliant channel to watch. Entertaining and not PC, best way.
Your customs story at the end might be my favourite story I’ve heard you tell. Brilliant!
Great to see Bittles seeing a uplift after the review and great to see they sponsored the trip to the big 🍎!
I wouldn't of thought about hitting Bittles if it wasn't for the Guru. Walk past it so many times and never thought much about the place.
Bittles in the news for all the wrong reasons now though 😬

rub and tug joint right under the long haul .. best of both worlds
Had to wait to have a Guinness in hand to watch these. Loving the enthusiasm. You obviously loved New York as this the best firm I have ever seen you in!
Great to see you in New York big man. Brilliant!
Fair play to the Long Hall.. pumping out the Gerry Cinnamon.. !
The Big Lad in The Big Apple drinking pints! 😎
Madwest casually playing in the background lol

The big dog still looks like a mountain in NYC! haha. Also, g'wan the Bittles boys!
As soon as I seen the logo in the foam, superhans instantly came into my head 😂
11:00 “Ohhh yeaaaahhh, very good”
Brilliant stuff chief 👏🏻 hope ya had a great trip, loved the pod with our Owen aswell 😊
The Dead Rabbit in NYC (Financial District). Best pint of Guinness (IMO) across the pond. Hands down.
Anyone else notice the lad at 12:50 grabbing a picture of him 😂
Could’ve been taking a picture of Jomboy media who is a baseball media company in the states. They were filming in the background
That was the pub owner Taking the picture

My coworkers in the back lmao
Hopefully you're doing a few in Brooklyn!
That Long Hall spot looked decent. Gerry Cinnamon playing too.
You should go to Boston next time for Guinness pint review. Lot's of pubs owned by Irish & Irish American's

Outstanding Daragh , tbf Guinness doesn’t travel well normally! When I lived in Christchurch New Zealand, I found a little pub outside of town, luckily it had a Guinness worth drinking! NYC is something special for sure, enjoy 👌👌
Hey Guru. Come back to New York over the summer and hit up Long Beach. 40 min train from the city. Big Irish drinking beach town. You’d love it.
i'm glad the pints are only 4 or 5 dollars here in the midwest.
Guiness always tastes different outside of the country even if it has been shipped in from Dublin.
$2.65 in Cape Town.
As an American, 1:21 had me rolling 🤣
The Giddy Guru haha and every right I be! Fair play lad!
Do you plan on going to Boston? I’ve got recs
Love your channel. Feel good lvl 10/10 .
"Jeesus why would anyone watch that?" and here we are watching, cheers fella
The photoshoot at the second bar was Jomboy Media. A major baseball/sports media company started on youtube.
Friendliest bar service here in Chicago...swing on over!
The middle age aul wan paradox 😂😂😂
Man I’m so glad to see this one 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Well done lad thoroughly deserved🇨🇮🍀👍🍺
Welcome to the big apple!
Let's go Guru⚫⚪🗽
Great video lad. Your so relaxed and natural now. A career in TV in the future?
It's gotta be Irish staff manning the Guinness workings in a pub to make the taste good, the maintenance of the pipes.
That's sound of the Belfast lads nice one
This is great!
I had the same experience in Connolly’s, bar staff were a bit odd, couldn’t order from the bar & kept being asked to sit down at a table 😂
Do you have to be vaccinated to get into USA
Holy Crap! So I think at 11:46 that is Jolly Olive, he's a Mets fan, from JOMBOY Media.
I'm dying. That is totally Jolly Olive and JOMBOY Media.
LMAO Joez McFly in the background too! This is insane!!!!!!

What does The Guru use as his hangover cure?
Guinness

Next time ya there, hit the Long Hall Pub in NY, Def in top 10 pints: 58 E 34th St,
Mate this real, slightly hungover vibe is a winner. The cadence is a breath of fresh air. Keep smashing it bro Tiocfaidh ár lá👊🍀
Try the black rose Boston, if you’re heading that way.
Greenwich Village mate. Good Guinness there. Had a few decent pints with Too Tall back in the day.
Seans bar is a giant guiness as the logo
We need a cross over with the one bite series lol.
