These console came out in the 80's and 90's and were just released as mini's again a few years ago - ask this question in another 30/40 years by then they will be highly collectable.
NES Classic Mini came in Nov 2016 with a very small batch. Sold out already at the pre-order stage. They re-printed it with a huge batch for a late june 2018 relese. SNES Classic Mini came out in september 2017 I think. I would recommend extension cords for the controllers. But it depends on the distance between you and the TV/monitor. The game selection? I would rate it 9,5/10 for both. Or 9,9/10. Not 10/10, because there's a few great games missing but almost all AAA titles are included. Would have been nice with all 6 Mega Man for NES but the 2nd game is great! All 6 games are really good! They probably only wanted to include one Mega Man game and they picked MM2. If you can't find any of these Classic Minis for a low price you can always buy the wireless controllers for NES and SNES from Nintendo and play the games from Switch Online. Most Classic Mini games are also on Switch Online. If you don't have the Classic Minis and wanna buy them today I would say it's worth it if the price is below 150-200 US dollar. More than that is kind of too expensive but it's very personal how much money you can spend. The introduction price was 60 USD for NES Classic Mini and 80 USD for SNES Classic Mini. That extra NES Classic Mini controller costed 10 USD. In Europe the AC adapter was not incuded probably because of the different outlets in the european countries. I wish that I've had bought 2 copies of each Classic Mini! One sealed and one to unbox and play! ⭐️
Not as valuable as they once were. The ONLY mini consoles if released would be a hit is Saturn Especially due to even today it is hard to emulate properly. ***Saturn games*** (Comes with 1 controlelr and 1 gun) Sega Rally Championship Panzer Dragoon Saga NiGHTS Into Dreams Radiant Silvergun Guardian Heroes Virtua Fighter 2 (with Arcade port unlockable once you beat Arcade mode) Street Fighter Alpha 3 Virtua Cop (Gun sold separately) Daytona USA (with arcade port unlockable once you win a race) Saturn Bomberman X-men Children of the Atom X-Men Vs Street Fighter (Unlockable once you beat COTA's arcade mode) Shining Force 3 Resident Evil Die Hard Arcade House of the Dead Fighting Vipers (Pepsiman unlockable) Clockwork Knight Sonic Jam Sonic R (Unlockable once you obtained 3 chaos emeralds from either game) Mortal Kombat II (Arcade mode unlockable) Manx TT Madden 97 NBA Live 98 Instant hit! Especially since quite a few of these titles, there are no "legal ways" to play the game other than its original hardware. Nintendo MIGHT can pull off a N64 mini but with the Switch Online having the heavy hitters like Goldeneye, not sure how well it will do. If they EVER go back to mini consoles again (about 5 years from now) a Gamecube, PS2, or OG Xbox should be a hit. I guess Dreamcast can be thrown in with that, even though most DC titles are easily accessible, and DC Emulation is pretty good. A far as the 6th gen consoles, timing is everything.

I was waiting for a n64 mini, but by that time they'd started with the online subscription and that was it.
Why wait for something that isn't the original?
@@Cirathos I have the original and a bunch of games for it, but I still enjoy the mini versions on an HD-tv
