I challenge you to pull the fender liners out. You will be surprised how much organic mulch has built up in there. I pull mine ever so often to clean out all the foliage that has accumulated in there. That’s the prime reason the wings rust out behind the front wheels.

Definitely worthwhile doing on these cars, that build up and the foam pads on the back of the panel are a recipe for disaster!
