I've been here for all of it and it just pissed me right the hell off when Mag Pearl got a bee in their bonnet at you and you had to start all over, Tracy. What a damn shame. Petty...and I'm betting that I'm not the only one who thinks so. I never miss and opportunity to view your tutorials. I think they are absolutely fantastic and inspiring. Those of us who repurpose and love vintage linens and such are pretty much glued to your channel. I personally have had stuff hoarded for years and have been plugging along as your posting....making inspired by all things Tracy trying to use the vintage french lace , linens and crochet items I've collected throughout the years. I get compliments all the time on what I make and wear. It's so fun and it breathes new life into things that ordinarily would be tucked in a closet or drawer. I don't comment often but I thought you'd appreciate my profile picture. The dress she is wearing (my daughter) is a halloween costume I made for her a couple of years back. We have a joann fabrics down the street from us and when my husband and I would walk the dogs at night we'd pass the back of the store. I'd pop my head in the dumpster to see if they threw away anything from the floral dept. It took about 8 months to find all the flowers and leaves and such but it was one hell of a costume. It made the local newspaper! Creativity is one of my favorite things about being on this planet and textiles are my jam. Anyway, have a fabulous New Year and if nobody else tells you today....I really appreciate you!
Aww I appreciate that so very much, thank you! That profile picture creation is ABSOLUTELY stunning!!!! You are one talented lady!!!! Happy new year to you!!!😍❤❤❤❤
I checked out your profile pic. Well done 👏👏👏 I agree with you wholeheartedly about MP. Obviously intimidated by Tracy’s talent and creative design abilities. Tracy’s pieces are much nicer. I want to add that I’ve been following Tracy since she had a handful of followers on her first channel. I knew she’d grow quickly and I was sickened by what MP did ! But, Tracy handled it with so much class and didn’t let it drag her down. Much better inspiration than MP, and the worst part is that Tracy was giving her inspirational credit. That’s why she gave her a copyright strike ! On MPs instagram and channel she writes a big bogus spiel about wanting to inspire others… She proved that isn’t true at all.
Hi Tracy, I’m the one who told you about the edges of the triangle being on the bias. I learned that if you cut the triangles so the middle is on the bias, then the edges will be on the straight of grain and won’t stretch. To find the bias, measure the 30” on the length of your fabric then fold it over making a 90 degree angle, and then cut your triangle in the middle of the fold. It does use more fabric, but it will hang very nicely on the pant leg. Warm wishes, Bonnie
Just found you! Your other video where you upcycled a white basic top and tea dyes it with added lace and linens popped up first on my big smartTV. I can't comment there but came to my tablet and see this one. Im typing on tablet while watching this video on big TV. Im 69 now and sewed most of my life. My mother had us do postage stamps on paper on her treadle to practice sewing straight lines. By age 10 was tweaking my clothing, a lot for fit and using patterns. It was late 60s to 73 I was in high school. I loved all the nerd hippie fashions but in making my own clothing it was hard and still is adding trims etc. Im the type that wears all tops with black pants or jeans. Im 69 now and in my older age Ive tried to branch out more with all the upcycle ideas. I have tons of doilies and linens because many in this small town we retired to has given me things, incluidng vintage sewing machines! I may not get close to your top but Im trying! I love you are upcycling these pants. I have been doing yard sales to sell my jean bags. Everyone kept asking where I got them. I dont sell for much as most here work part time. Mainly I want to teach them to sew and buy used! But I put some of my crop pants in the $2 rack. I think Im going to take them out and upcycle them similar to this!! Im so going to binge watch you tonight on New Year's Eve! And sharing to my FB page so my sewing friends world wide can find you!
It's wonderful that you show your viewers step by step how you create these masterpieces. There's a lot to learn from you. Cut boldly with the idea that it will definitely work out. Thank you for the beauty you share with us,Dear Tracy.
Tchuss ✌️💯♥️💐💃👏👍😅🇫🇷
I wish every youtuber knew where to put the camera during a tutorial like you do. Its all about being seen. I really enjoyed the natural light as well.
Good morning from Texas. I've been binge watching your tutorials for the last couple of days and absolutely love them. I'm not very artsy, but these have given me some inspiration. 🎉🎉🎉
Everytime I think you've done my favorite upcycle, you come along with yet another idea that is just A-dorable. I love the embroidered patches! This is so wearable as well!
Traci! What can I say but you’ve done it again. WONDERFUL THEY ARE. I LOVE THIS CHANNEL. YOU MAKE MY DAY! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. LOVING ALL YOUR OUTFITS. YOU LOOK FABULOUS. AS ALWAYS NEVER NEVER DISAPPOINTED 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Hi Traci, I love this idea ,I have capris that I can do this to. Such a great 💡 you are amazing! And they look spectacular on you! Thank you for sharing! ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Love the pants and really enjoyed the slideshow - some of those pants must've taken you hours to do - they are gorgeous. Adore the ruffles and lace, purples, denim blue - well all of Xthem actually. You are my Sunday evening star! Thanks ♥
So cute!! I have wanted to try creating clothing like this for years but I find it intimidating because I’m an over thinker when I create. You make it seem effortless! Thank you so much for including the amazing slide show! You really put so much into those pieces.
Ps- the outfit you pulled together with the pants you did in this tutorial is so great! I have a pair of pink gingham seersucker capris (granny pants) that I could totally see recreated now! What do you think about a calico fabric inset for the triangle side panels?
Traci been watching you for a few years now and watched all your videos. You outdo yourself every week! Thank you for all you do ! Blessings for the new year!❤
I love these!!! The still shots at the end are simply magnificent!!! Could you PLEASE do a tutorial on how to make some of those? They are simply gorgeous !!!
Add an extra 5in onto the bottom of the triangle that should give you plenty hanging off at the bottom - when you get to the bottom stop sewing about 1in above the original hemline- sew both sides then roll the hemline on the new piece cut off the extra & sew the hemline to match if you want it to 😂 These came out cute! I might make mom(*she loves capris!) something like these but in a reddish pink maybe 😁
i love how great/wonderful you are at explaining all the steps. thank you for that. and i love your awesome wearable art upcycle clothing. and i am so grateful for you sharing your creativity.

Hi Tracey, I am very inspired by all your creativity. I am doing some crafts that were inspired by your projects. I enjoy to aggree for myself I am an artist not a seamstress. Thankyou so much for all you do bless you.
Love love your channel so much!!! One thing i learned from someone was to use large heavy washers or make little beanbags to use to hold down those pieces you dont quite need to pin, but it makes it easier to just hold the top layer down while you cut! Well, i thought it was a great idea - just wanted to share. Love you💕
I have two 1960s manikins in storage. When a small local boutique closed, I had to buy them because I recognized them from my childhood at a downtown department store. Anyway, I enjoy your work. I like to sew Victorian things and like to repurpose textiles.
