    Simply beautiful, I bought one last year without knowing how nice it would be (meant to be for my kid) but once I got it I was so impressed with all the details so......for now is mine until my boy will be ready to know what kind of van is that, f.... love it.👍🏼

    The reason alot of us back in the 80s thought the van was also black above the red stripe was purely down to the lower quality tv sets we were watching it on.

    Just buy a Tamiya Lunchbox and paint the body grey/red/black. Then you have an RC A-Team monster truck, and it will cost less than this model. The Lunchbox is still available for around £100 for anyone interested.

      @@BROOKSCOLLECTABLES You're welcome mate. The Lunchbox is very, very similar to the A-Team van and being a Tamiya model it's a fun build as always. They've rereleased a lot of their 80's and 90's cars, and they're very reasonably priced. I'm not meaning to rag on the model in this video, I just look at value for money and this isn't it. I bought a 1 series BMW for driving to work and back to save putting miles on my nice car, and that cost only 3x what this model is worth.... food for thought.
      Great channel by the way. Thanks for making such interesting content.

    If no one’s mentioned it by now, you’ll be happy to hear that Ramen Toy is making one. Doors open and all. I’ll admit, the one you have here is beautiful.

      That’s everything this model should be ! I know that’s a prototype but do you think they’ll put the extra seats and gun cabinets in it ? This one has all that detail and you can’t get to it ! Thanks for sharing that. M

      @@BROOKSCOLLECTABLES No problem. I just came upon your video yesterday and subbed.
      He may or may not have those options covered, but it couldn’t hurt to contact the creator. He’s pretty open to ideas from fans alike and is transparent too. Specially if something’s missing.
      To please the fans of the controversial/failed Engine of Vengeance Haslab,he ventured in creating the Ramen Racer in black, which can double as the The Ghost rider/Blade/Fast and Furious 68-70 era Charger. He’s even done the General Lee (Ramen Racer Orange) and the canopy for The Mcfarlane 89’ Batmobile. The A-Team van will also have the option to double as a Punisher van with different wheels. He has a few videos on the prototype under the name Bread car. Hope this helps!

    I also thought watching the show as a kid the van was all black. It makes me wonder if Greenlight has the grey too light cause enough of people think it was all black

      The top was more of a gun metal Grey, not the silver on the models.

      It must have been an influence on the design of the van, I’m going to have to look into more of the history of its design, like I said it would still stand up today, it hasn’t really dated at all. Hope you enjoyed the video, thank you for commenting ! M

      @@BROOKSCOLLECTABLES yup, watched a video bob moseley piece on the van ans it was silver, but appeared as a trick of light, and was often seen as black. i do hoever have an r/c model of the van with opening doors, which plays the theme.

    Apparently, one of the original 6 vans used for the show is not that far away from Blackpool, in the Cars of The Stars museum in Keswick. I don't know if it's still there, though.

      The cost would be huge to do that in 1:12th scale, saying that if you could remove the top of the van to see the inside that would be a good compromise. Although there is one in development with opening doors at the side and rear ! Hope you enjoyed the video. M

      I see you’re point ……..but have you ever had any 12th scale models ? I’ve not had many of them in the shop but what seems to happen once they get past 1:18th scale manufacturing problems start to appear, especially with die cast. Doors fall off or hinge’s drop, detail is compromised, there are great toys of this model out there but detailed collectors ones are expensive and few am far between. Again you have a great point with the price, it’s not for everyone, but my aim is that people get to see these items either by video or by visiting the shop to see them in the flesh, so people get to make their own minds up ! I hope you enjoyed the video, thank you for your comment ! M

    • @BROOKSCOLLECTABLES
      @BROOKSCOLLECTABLES  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it’s down to manufacturing, if the made the 1/12 in metal they could have had opening doors, but I can make the model look wrong having to reinforce the hinges. Plus the tooling would be way more expensive, as would the cost of the model. So it’s a compromise, but if your a fan your going to consider it ? Thanks for commenting. M
