I think I’m so drawn to your channel because you are quite literally “just a normal dude on the internet” and it’s hard to find somebody who can explain why they have the setup they do without them bringing up how they did it in service
In my humble opinion I’d change a couple things on the belt. 1- I’d recommend ditching the rear utility pouch and putting a full IFAK in its place, great for real situations and just to have on the range/training. 2-I’d add a dump pouch since you have a space for it, even if you’re not dumping mags in it, it’s a useful utility pouch for whatever you want and if you don’t need it you can roll it up out of the way. 3- I’d consider a safari land holster over the TRex, I believe the TRex has good retention but nothing beats true locking retention, if you’re running around you can be sure it won’t fall out or get knocked out, if you re-holster and it doesn’t seat all the way and you don’t notice, it can bounce out easily and you don’t wanna lose your backup! Otherwise looks like a great kit man!
Awesome set up! You are correct that mag pouches are mag pouches. As long as you have them who cares what brand they are. I've ran the hsgi taco pouches for along time now. Wanted to switch out to some all poly on my belt but I haven't cause the hsgi's do me just fine. That crye back pannel is sick! Awesome peice of kit for someone to have.
I got hate for having too many magazines but if its too much you can just not bring the extras. The hsgi mag pouches are pretty neat the tacos were just a little hard to put mags into for me
This setup can hold 8 mags on the carrier. 3 on the back if needed, 5 in front. 1 on the belt. Not sure you need more unless you’re patrolling Afghanistan. Maybe LEO
Yo man i just discovered your channel! Good stuff in here man. I would still recommend a Safariland for ya even if you're not likey to use a pistol in a "duty" manner. An ALS holster just as fast as passive retention and you get the added security. As a dude who lost his handgun on the range before, i will never run around with anything that's not active retention again lol.
I will most likely invest in a safariland holster down the road especially when im back in texas where i have to land and no limitations in training, i do agree training with a duty rated holster also has more benefits than passive styles
Love the vid man! I have a JPC 2.0 and I recently got the trex triple mag pouch on the front. So easy to plus up or simply take mags out😂 If the panels still available I’d love to call dibs but if not sweet vid man!

I don't see an issue as long as they explain why they do things a certain way. And a lot of them do a fine job at that.
