I'm guilty of letting my cell phone ring for a few extra seconds since I set the guitar riff of this as my ringtone. I don't care what anyone says, overrated or not, The Wall was one of the greatest albums ever conceived.
In the end, I think even if it's ones favorite or not, it is the best album ever written, composed, and created. It will stand the test of time and imitate reality until we blow ourselves into oblivion.

The Wall is rightly considered a masterpiece, and I know a lot of people will argue about greatness between The Wall and The Dark Side of the Moon, but no PF album lays down the visceral and raw feeling of modern day society like Animals does. It doesn't matter what side we are on, we'll all be distilled into whatever the "leadership" finds most subservient. I, for one, will stand and never kneel.
people that use "in the flesh?" as a political argument have not listened to the full album. its literally about depression and isolation leading to self delusion
Actually The Wall was a scathing indictment of the very conservative Thatcher administration in addition to a metaphor for depression. I'm sorry the majority of the greatest bands of all times were very liberal..
