I hope Jimmy wrenching on Brian’s car will give him a motivation boost to wrench/fix the e30/36 again. Just commenting to say I miss the bmw content lol
Jimmy!!! I was bragging about you today on the boostedboiz channel! Letting the people know a little about what you got going on over here on this channel. Cleetus, Kyle and you all had posted videos this morning within about 30-40 minutes of each other. It was epic and really started my Saturday off on the right foot!! It was about as good as those mornings as a kid where I woke up and ate way too much cereal and watched way too many cartoons. Just classic! Keep it up pimp!!
I may work full time in a place I'm not familiar with but I still aspire to have the friendship, discipline, and work ethic that Jimbo has to work on his and his friends cars with the goal to have a good time and make some horse puppies... good on you, thanks for the good vibes and knowledge you bring. I appreciate you
this bad boy need an m56 aluminum valvecover to delete to ccv from under the intake and into the valve cover. feels much better and eliminates a bunch of vacuum lines
I have a 01 325 with all black interior plus black dash trim and stuff but grey roof auto with only 80k miles. It can be Brian’s daily and make his 328 the drift machine!!!!
stoked on this thing!! Bryan has everything I wanted for my e46. I gave up & bought a Z because you have to do so much legwork just to make these things drive / function decent. But with it all done this will be a SICK seat time car.
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, you guys didn’t show a step. You have to tap the holes in the head and plug them. You also have to remove some studs. Both mods are done to the head... This conversion is also possible with the cable driven throttle body. It’s a direct bolt on to the manifold. You have to create a custom bracket for the throttle cable to get the right tension and travel. Maybe I’ll try to find you on insta and DM a couple other things to you
Dude, I have an E39 530i with a manual tranny; The clutch upgrade kit is awesome but the brass clutch fork pivot pin wears out prematurely and it clinks too much when it's worn out, I went back to the OEM plastic pivot pin and no issues, it seems counterintuitive but the plastic one is the better part. You got me thinking about the M50 intake manifold upgrade, thanks.
Ms43 uses those type of coilpacks too they just have to be after 03/2003.. Somewhere around there. Also im curious how jimmy tunes the stock ecu since the platform for ms45 isnt as big as ms42 or ms43
Right... i was wondering if they were going to swap ecu's or run standalone. My m52tub28 runs ms42 but doing a stroker with m54b30 bits so I may run ms43...
In theory, you Rotate the motor each time so that the valves are closed on the cylinder you’re working on, then put air into the cylinder to get the valves shut as much as possible, then flush with air/water when done. That being said, you still run the risk of having metal in the valves and down into the motor
i really wanna do this swap to my e60, its equipped with a m54 2.2l I6 atm quite lazy. the m54 3l and possibly a manual swap would be nice. only dreading getting the ecu part going as i want it "stock"
I thought the 328 motor throttle body is hybrid (cable & electronic throttle body) now your putting a M54 throttle body on it so won’t you have to modify it to electronic cable?
You did so much stuff pre install except the most important in my view & that was to compression test it & spin it over to listen for knocks, that is unless you knew the car it came from ?
Glad Tucker was there to supervise the job, otherwise i dont know...
he definitely keeps them working
More so stupervise =D
Maybe it’s actually Tucker who can sense the engine hoist and he alerts Drew like Lassie
“What’s that tuck? Jimmys putting an engine in?!?!”😂😂
What’s that boy ?? Donald is trying to read again ?? B needs that melatonin pack ?? ..To the tuck mobile !! 👆🏽
I hope Jimmy wrenching on Brian’s car will give him a motivation boost to wrench/fix the e30/36 again. Just commenting to say I miss the bmw content lol
I'm sure he'd be more motivated if he could fix it himself. That car needs many hours of bhalls time.
@@mrpippipcherio 100%. I'm just a bmw guy at heart lol but enjoy the other content too.

B. Hall puts so much time and effort in helping out on Jimmy's builds, so it always makes me happy seeing his own cars get some love ❤️
The way that green screwdriver landed next to the Milwaukee ratchet.
14:25 for anyone who missed it.
Illuminati confirmed
glad im not the only one that subconsciously throws tools on the floor
When do we get to see you boys on the live and have a dab session with drew and bhall
This should be top comment👍🏽
M54 engine is so Beautiful....so slick and simple, without turbo and complicated direct injection!!! Best naturally aspirated engine ever......
that screwdriver throw at 14:24 is legendary.

Best thing in the world is to sit down for a lunch and watch a Jimmy and crew video, been the usual for years and i hope it never ends
Jimmy, if you've taught me anything at all over the years, it's not to be afraid of wiring/electronics stuff.
I seem to enjoy the build videos more than the drifting videos
Same
I agree I'm not really a fan of drifting .
I could care less what you post I’ll watch it lol. The content is amazing. Your doing awesome Jimmy.
OaksGarage for the win!!!!
"it's always a tradition" I love it Jimmy!
Two of the best youtubers both have animal super visor Jimmy O and Taylor Ray
Today Jimmy was excited af 😂
Got hyped with the energy 👌✌
Always here from Puerto Rico keep the good work and videos
Anybody else notice the perfect placement of the screw driver that jimmy dropped at 14:25
i have had the plastic ones last 20 years. I have also had the brass ones wear out in less than a year. I personally put plastic back in every time.
Man this makes me miss my E46. Will live vicariously through your car
Would love to see a update of the old shop see what the boys have been up to
Me: "Man, nice day outside today, cloudy and not too hot, I should wrench on the car."
Yootoob: *notification*
Me: "...in 16:37."
Drew always kills it. He is the man!
Gotta keep the family fleet right. Good work
the only ever channel ill have notification bell on for!
I had a valeo kit on my 328 and that thing held up like a champ.

did you route the valve cover hose into intake boot?
@@justswippin2693 no it goes into a 90° plastic fitting on the intake. requires adapter. lots of info online

Brian is my favorite character.
Valeo single mass kits are sick for n/a. Great clutch feel

after 03 and on wagons! my wagon has it oem and so does a friend of mine
Killing it dude amazing content
I know I know I was a little late to video today, but hey now I atleast get to enjoy my break with your newest vid!
M54s need vacuum on the crank case breather I think boys. Without it you might end up with higher oil consumption than usual. Cool project.
Aye!! Before noon upload is dope on the weekend.
Brooklyn was here..
Been so hyped for this video
yip, you know you stayed up all night when jimmy has a new vid
14:23 How did you get the screw driver to land perfectly????????
Haha I was literally watching up to the 12-minute mark like where the hell is Drew, is he going to show up lol
Supposedly you can use the m54 fuel rail cover on the M50 inlet
Congrats on 300 k lol. I just noticed now
If your car used to be a M52TU one, you can use the old fuel rail, this way you don't have to deal with an external fuel pressure regulator.
My turbo Mini Countryman uses coils like that
Sooo hyped on this e46 content 🤪
How would one port a head without getting metal shaving down in the cylinder?
Only right way is to remove the head

Like the video in the first couple of seconds, like always. Love ya Jimmy.
Good stuff
Could you talk about what you did with the ccv system?

Brian’s tuck and roll tho
14:05 i👋🏽 u back
Okay, i've learned something new, i was sure that all dual mass flywheel clutches had hydraulic concentric slave cylinders !
Jimmy, how will you setup your crankcase ventilation system on this? You haven't mentioned it in this vid or any other m50 manifold swap vids.
Buy that boy some beefy axles 😁✌
At 12:20, its that a mk3 jetta with a mk2 front end?👀please someone say something
Kicking in that pivot bearing had me dying hahaha
Great video again.
The electric wrench you use to mounth the gearbox onto the engine block which specific one is that?
Kind regards,
Davey
No ones gonna talk about B Halls fucking sick reverse somersault at 14:10? 😂
Did you not get the hardware to block the ICV ports on the head with the kit???
Currently gathering up stuff to m54 swap E30
How did you wire the new throttle body? Cuz the old one is cable not wire
TUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who's a good boi!!!
Watching Jimmy Oakes on acid🤯

Love this fucking content !! Need to swap in my b30 in my 325i already !!
I have a e46 318i... i want to put a 330 in it like this but have no experience doing it.. what else do i need to change if i want to do this
Guys if we keep sending him levelers do you think hell eventually start using them? We gotta flood fanmail with them
Someone needs to buy Bhall a 330 badge for that thing
Did I miss something or does Jimmy now have a full set of blitz 03’s?
You did so much stuff pre install except the most important in my view & that was to compression test it & spin it over to listen for knocks, that is unless you knew the car it came from ?
Just because you don't see it on camera doesn't mean we didn't do it
15:31 "upgwaded" LOL
Where can I find a complete zhp engine at. I'm having a hard time getting one or finding one.
4:05 that you Uncle Rob?
Brian was either crying from enjoinment or smoking something other than tires
brian loves a wee smoke subs send him weed all the time lmao watch the sub mail vids package number 420
